You would have to be prepared to be grilled by the girls who would think that you are just playing. Many receive messages from other foreign countries but all the punter actually want is getting the pics. So girls tend to ignore these messages or ask for proof that you're in the UAE (I. E. Sending location). In any case if you're after privacy that should not be too much of an issue.

Do go for overkill.

Check out www.travelsim.com. I haven't used it myself. The simplest way to get a foreign sim is of course is to pick up a sim when you are traveling abroad, that is what I did. Once you set up your messaging apps, it doesn't matter if you don't keep your sim active.

I recommend anyone to read Thai Private Eye from warren Olson, a detective who used to operate in Bangkok.
