Well here I am back in Abu Dhabi: More people, more new buildings, my rent is twice what it was when I left in April last year – but otherwise pretty much the same. A lot of new WG faces plus one or two old ones. Although a dive, I used to like Hojo’s for the African crowd but it’s 99% PRC now –Although the Cellar Pub on the ground floor still has a mix of Ugandans, Nigerians and older CIS.

Have had a couple of great evenings in 49ers with chums and pleased to see that, unlike a lot of other joints in town, they have not changed the Filipino band who continue to Rock (one of the best in UAE without a doubt). The Trap pub downstairs is now exclusively PRC. I’m not sure what the Dana door policy is for Africans now but you will still find a few upstairs in 49ers. Also it seems that the Kazakh contingent in 49ers has shrunk whereas Harvesters in Sands Hotel still has quite a few. The PRC gene pool is definitely spreading. Due to limited options, I acquired a bit of a taste for PRCs when in Bahrain and saw a very cute one street-walking on Hamdan last week: she wore glasses and was tall and slim. She dressed and looked more like a secretary than a WG, which caused a bit of a stir in the trouser department – a test smile and ‘hello’ confirmed her WG status and number duly noted for future need.

Rock Bottom in Capital Hotel continues to be very popular, where there is a new band who are brilliant, esp. the lead singer.

Ally Pally never was much of an attractive venue (for me anyway) but now I cannot see any point in going at all unless you are a hotel guest. For everyone else, it’s a rip-off door charge, which doesn’t include drinks - there are much better venues in town for less money or free.

No FRs on WG experience as the Proxy web address I am using is pop-up madness. I developed Repetitive Strain Injury just trying to post this. It also keeps logging me off every time I try to access a new page, which makes posting my overdue pics very cumbersome. Lengthy as it was, I did manage to open Piper’s latest pics: very much to my taste. Last Tuesday I had a short meeting in Abu Dhabi and I thought why not also make it a pleasure trip. I sent a PM to WR as most of the happenings in the AUH thread he seemed to be involved : )

Anyway he setup the meeting with Miss J. Since she is from Dubai and I am also coming from Dubai, I waited for her and we went off to Abu Dhabi. Too bad she was wearing panties this time. I should have asked WR to ask her not to wear one : ). She was telling me that story on our way to AUH. You guys!!!

When in AUH, I attended the short meeting and we were together at last. All I can say WR is that she killed me! I am no match for her! Different positions, she is a PRO. I have experienced things that was never done to me before!Definitely someone to see again.

Was booked in to the Hilton, on the beach, by company. Not certain what to expect, but self and friend shipped our regulars down from Dubai.

No problems in hotel, very very green.

Bars had a small selection of attractions, but not 6+ or more, from were we were sitting, the Jazz was good, and we had our own company to admire, so no wandering eyes.

Sorry no pics, as these are regular girls, who play for pleasure not business.

Never been stopped with my laptop ever in either country. But if still dont feel 100% secure then encrypt. It is not like the USA here - if you read certain threads it appears immigration/customs apparently carry out a thorough check of the hard drive

I intend to take my laptop and a fair number of external drives some of which will be loaded with movies.
Do I need to encrypt my drives and PC or am I safe taking these things into this region? I only ask as I have had problems in other parts of the world.

Actually it should be 2 who bite the dust but that spoils the Queen title

By this I mean 2 more lovely Filipinas who succumbed to my charms to have their first Greek lessons

Does AD hotels have the same restriction like those in dubai, I have seen the ones in Dubai marked as Red, yellow and Green, does thid rule apply in Abu D.

Just avoid Le Meridien as apart from one good report recently by Hunter, it has always been considered RED.

Others are OK

Rockbottom

First night we hit Rockbottom in the Capital Hotel, this did not meet the “acceptance criteria for bars” of one of my colleagues – “No hookers, no smoke and no loud music”, but the rest of us found the place quite acceptable.

The Tavern

We also had a quick pint in this “British Pub” in the Sheraton, Mr “no hookers, no smoke and no loud music” was a little more at home here, not seeing the lone African girl sat at the bar for what she was and not finding the mediocre East European duo providing the entertainment too loud.

Was in Chamas this week (InterCon's new restaurant). Not many WGs, some LUFBs (large fat bird birds) that the locals like, one massive LUFB at the bar. Some 'enthusiastic amateurs' - western expats girls on night out

Couple of cuties, CIS tall blonde (MK you would love her trust me) with a local sipping drinks very demeurly.

Saw a couple of Arab WGs, locals next table down paid for their meals and were negotiating outside, deal seemed to be done, not sure of prices but nice and sexy WGs.

A business meeting meant I was in Abu Dhabi for a couple of night with a few colleagues in tow. Visitors from Dubai will appreciate the much lower drink prices in the Abu Dhabi. 20 AED a pint seemed to be the norm, happy hours as low as 14AED


Rockbottom

First night we hit Rockbottom in the Capital Hotel, this did not meet the “acceptance criteria for bars” of one of my colleagues – “No hookers, no smoke and no loud music”, but the rest of us found the place quite acceptable.

There were a number of WGs, a ‘Stani an a nice outfit stood out. A few large CIS, I will not call them T54’s as this would be a disservice to the real T54’s who hang in Jockey’s in Dubai, but they were some type of (slightly) lighter, newer model soviet battle tank. Later there were a few PRC mostly average looking “girl next door types”. One however stood out. One colleague, resident in AD told me that the PRC went for 300 – 500 and the CIS were usually asking 800+. Tonight we were both on our best behaviour however!

There were also a group of Filipinas whom I suspect were civilian. Best looking girl in the place was one of the waitresses, brought the line from a Neil Young song to mind. “I used to order just to see her walk across the floor”.

49rs

Second Night we hit 49rs, minus Mr “no hookers, no smoke and no loud music” who had not recovered from the shock of Rock Bottom. We were hit for a 45AED entrance ticket, but I consider this quite reasonable as two drink coupons were included. I am glad to say the Filipino band (Groovehearts) is alive and well and there was no sign of the three bored blond singers reported by Zing. The two Filipina singers neither look bored or boring!

The WG contingent was a bit disappointing, mostly middle of the road CIS and PRC. Unlike last time there were no Africans, but I did see one obvious African WG heading into the bar down stairs.
