FJ and HJ here are more expensive because the market rate have been spoiled a long time ago by the foreigners who do not find it expensive in terms of their currencies exchange rate to the Malaysian Ringgit. A HJ@RM50 Is only USD15 or AUD16 while FJ@RM250 Is only USD80 or AUD82.

Two years ago I chanced to be visiting Shenzhen, China a few days before Chinese New Year. On board the same flight was a prc ml who was going back to somewhere in China for the Chinese New Year. When we landed at Shenzhen Baoyun International Airport, the first place she went to was the booth doing foreign exchange rates. Being curious I pretended to want to do some foreign currency and queued up behind her. When it was her turn, she fished out and handed over to the teller a big wad of RM50 Malaysian bills as thick as 2 inches! At 2 inches thick I would imagine that there must be around Ringgit Malaysia 200, 000 in that wad of money! So the possibility of a prc ml earning as much as RM200K is not too far fetched.

At the same time, on my flight back to Kota Kinabalu from Shenzhen, there was a group of syt Chinese prc on their way to Kota Kinabalu.

They were indeed a noisy lot and a few ask me for help to fill their arrival forms. Was surprised to find out that most of them ad been to Malaysia quite a few times already, some as 4 or more timesalready!

Hehe. It was seriously an eye-opener. I remember a while back people use to say that money was flowing out of the country through the foreign workers in construction and what have you. Didn't think the agung head would leave Malaysia through PRC ladies. And people wonder why China is so rich hahaha.

I have been visiting alot of the 'hotter' mps but last I saw there were still quite alot of stock, specifically prc Mls. I would agree though that there is a shortage of mls in the hot+syt category.

There was one who plied her trade at 101 and in five months had made about RM250, 000. 00 and has since returned to her homeland and why not I suppose. What she did in 5 months, others usually do in about a year or two and that really says something.

If you are thinking how the hell can they make so much money from their salary + tips? I was thinking the exact same thing. Until I was told, there are customers who pay these ladies 'excessive monthly tips' in the region of RM1k-3k. Some even pay 'tapau' fees exceeding RM10, 000. 00.

If you are thinking that this only happens to the pretty mls. I was thinking the exact same thing. But even the less-pretty mls are making handsome monthly incomes too. It's no wonder that when I was waiting with a friend, I noticed all of them had a laptop. Sure you could get one below RM2k but that's not really the point. That said, there are also MLs who aren't making a killing so it doesn't apply across the board.

So when I read about 'spoiling the market by paying RM50. 00 for a HJ or what not' I just shrug. The PRC market has already been spoilt.

I should of course clarify that all these were told to me by a very reliable source and no, I do not have black and white proof of these purported earnings so take it with a pinch of salt if you will. But having thought long and hard about it, it's not very far fetched.

My reason for posting this is just to share what I learnt, with fellow brothers / members here who may be sympathetic to a Ml's plight and be extra generous after hearing their sob stories etc.
