I've been over and back 4 times in the last two weeks. Zero wait time at the new border crossing, going in and coming out. And I don't mean a small line. I mean zero wait time. I even asked the CBP guy on my way back what was rush hour so that I can avoid it. He shrugged his shoulders.

Trump needs to get his ass out of Maralargo, stop watching Fox News and actually make a visit to the border for himself.

TIJUANA.- A fight that took place in the Colonia Libertad high part, and carried out by two migrants, left one of them seriously injured.

The migrant, who was calling Mexicans assholes and threatened to shoot them, was apparently kidnapped, beatened bloody, interrogated and suspected murdered by the Tijuana cartel in this video. The kidnappers were trying to find out who the leaders of the caravan are.

This is a very sad situation for migrants to run away from poverty and violence in their home countries, only to fall into far worse abuses and violence at the hands of criminals with little or no protection from any government.

This young migrant is the person kidnapped after he shot his mouth off in a video calling Mexicans assholes and threatening violence against them "if that's what they want. This was subsequent to the Tijuana confrontation between migrants and citizens at the border of Tijuana and the USA Supposedly it is the Tijuana Cartel that kidnapped him. That is what the text says with the video. They are trying to determine who the leader of the migrant group is.

Three of us played the video and could not decipher the narrative completely that well because of the wind.

He is from Honduras and his wife is Nicaraguan. His captors were asking him why he was running his mouth. And trying to figure out who's who in his group and who was leader.

Or conversely, the coordinator is from Honduras and the wife Nicaragua.

He says a Honduran; a chubby guy is the coordinator.

There is no word if he is alive, but doubtful as he could identify his kidnappers. But that is just my guess.

Trump: If Mexico doesn't control the caravan, I'm closing the border.

Washington President Trump issued a Thanksgiving Day threat to close the "whole" southern border if Mexico can't control the migrant caravan, which the president claimed is filled with at least "500 serious criminals. ".

"If we find that it's uncontrollable," then "we will close entry into the country for period of time until we can get it under control. The whole border," Trump told reporters at Mar-a-lago Thursday.

Sorry I had not posted sooner. Got my log-in wrong while in Sun Diego but now have it back home in TX.

Went down for two afternoons / early evening La Zona the 17th and 18th. On the 17th while crossing new PedWest noticed what looked like military construction equipment placing an earthen barrier in the very wide drainage canal. Coming back on the 18th confused at the ped re-entry back into USA Because there was placed on the Mexico side large vertical metal barriers constraining the entry point. Luckily no issues and made it back without being swarmed by the refugees. Now the chicas in the calle swarming another plus also very abundant in HK. Wanted to splooge (I mean splurge) a little with a HK girl on Sun. But just too tired due to the several SGs along with concerns of getting a "bleeder" now. Wanted to go back down yesterday but just not feeling it due most likely to the increased attention on the border and them shutting it down for several hours early Mon. AM as reported on the local news. The ped entry was open during the shutdown but from what I saw Sun. Night know they could shut it down real quick too.

A hundred demonstrators trying to confront migrants from Central America clashed with riot police, telling the newcomers they aren't welcome here.

TIJUANA, Mexico—A crowd of demonstrators clashed with anti-riot police near an emergency shelter where thousands of migrants from Central America have taken refuge in recent days.

Waving Mexican flags and singing Mexico's national anthem, a bristling crowd of a hundred or more descended on a municipal sports complex the city government has converted to a shelter to accommodate the surge of migrants who arrived here as part of the famous caravan from the south. Their ultimate destination is the United States where many plan to apply for asylum.

Young men in the crowd overturned concrete barriers set in the road for crowd control and threw plastic bottles and trash at a line of helmeted police with riot shields. Some got close and hurled insults and profanities at the police, calling them anti-patriotic for protecting the migrants, whom they variously referred to as drug addicts, thieves, gang members—even [CodeWord127] and murderers. It's the same rhetoric used by President Trump about the caravan during the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections.

Trump's Army Threats Fail to Stop Caravan.

The tension started brewing on Wednesday night, when angry residents from a more affluent coastal area known as Playas de Tijuana confronted migrants who had gathered there to spend the night at a local park. A city official and several migrants present at the time said the confrontation began when men and women in the crowd attacked with stones; some of the migrants reacted aggressively.

In a video clip from the confrontation—seen widely in Tijuana via Facebook—a young man from Honduras threatens to "machine gun" anti-migrant demonstrators in the crowd.

Viral videos and memes on social media have fueled much of the sentiment against the migrants.

In another viral video, a Honduran woman complained to a news crew from Germany about a lunch of refried beans and flour tortillas migrants received at the shelter. "Look at it, it's all refried beans, the sort of thing they'd feed to pigs," she said.

Several protesters referred to the video as an indication the migrants were ungrateful. There was one sign in the crowd to the effect that Mexicans proudly eat their beans. Groups of protesters in the crowd chanted that Hondurans were "pigs. ".

Protesters decried the migrants in the caravan as "invaders" and "ingrates. " Several said the migrants overran the border checkpoint in southern Mexico.

Cristina Gómez Sandoval said she attended the protest out of concern for the threat she feels migrants in the caravan pose to public safety in Tijuana. Gómez, 40, an employee of a public relations firm, attended the protest with her 11 year-old son, Yolotl.

"They're not people in need," she said. "They've come here to destabilize the country. ".

Yolotl joined in, saying, "Get them out of the city so they don't cause harm. ".

Several motorists who drove past the protest honked their car horns in approval. One woman leaned out the window of a passing car and shouted that protesters were culeros ("assholes".

A young woman who waded into the thick of the crowd and loudly proclaimed her support for the migrants was ejected by pushing from anti-migrant demonstrators.

Later, in addressing a crush of reporters, she pointed to a tattoo on her arm that said "Pueblo unido," and said that she had acted in accordance with that sentiment.

Some 80 percent of the migrants who have arrived to Tijuana this week hail from Honduras, according to a city official who oversees data from the shelter's registry. Other migrants in the group are from Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.

They have come to Tijuana after fleeing violence in their home countries and say they intend to apply for political asylum in the USA, a process that due to more restrictive policies under Trump could take months. Others say they are driven to find higher-paying work to support their families.

Children account for approximately 21 percent of the migrants in Tijuana, according to the city official. Officials expect some 3,000 more migrants in the caravan to arrive to Tijuana from other parts of Mexico in the days to come.

It began when a Central American migrant was interviewed on video, threatening to Mexicans who are protesting against the caravan. It is unclear where this took place but most likely in Tijuana Mexico, near the POE with the United States.

He threatened to shoot Mexicans that interfered, saying, "If they want violence, that is what they will see. What are 30 assholes going to do against 30 k migrants?" he asked.

He is heard about next in a video posted on social media, after he is kidnapped and is being interrogated.

Tuesday night soldiers were posted on US soil in front of the metal turnstile at PedEast, but they were not armed.

I saw something similar, but thought it was before Tuesday. Unarmed construction group was at the sidewalk level, but plenty of armed US military personnel on top of the retaining wall to the left as you walk up the hill to the first set of ped east turnstiles.
