I don't use it but know many that do and have been sent many videos. It's very good for those wanting to view news that MSM doesn't let you see. It seems most news outlets now just spoon feed you what they want you to see and Tik Tok is another form of news that allows you to choose what you see.

I understand your point but I'm sure this incident will not mean any less guys in HK. It's funny I was listening to an LA sports show the other day and they somehow brought up Hong Kong the city and shortened it to HK, well in my head I thought of our HK. Just a few minutes later his phone is getting blown up from texts of listeners talking about HK in Tijuana and they need to do a show from the place. Almost everyone knows about it and it would take some serious issues to get guys not to go.

The tourism it will hurt are more of families looking to go on vacation to Ensenada especially those that go on the weekends. They were also supposed to start a ferry from SD to Ensenada this summer but now I'm not sure they will have many customers or it could be a good thing since people don't have to drive. We will just have to wait to see.

It's hard to believe banditos would kill 3 guys just to steal some tires, then they did not take the tires, just burned the truck. Hard to believe they could shoot all 3 guys in the heads if they were resisting, fighting.

The 3 guys were surfers. Why were they camping next to a stream in Santo Tomas, in the middle of nowhere 15 miles East of the shore as in this BBC article. They may be in or near cartel's territory where narcos produce and distribute drugs, looked suspicious and had to be removed quickly.

Many journalists have been killed in Mexico because of things that they investigated and printed so you might want to look up the information on this matter and reconsider your statement.

As far as them just reporting what the officials have said is really about the only thing they can do when a story is first breaking. Especially with this case since no witnesses were around. It takes time to do investigation. That being said I did see that the weekend edition of the Zeta will have a deeper look into this story and the possible connections the person they have in custody being part of a cartel. Also from other reports I've seen the guys GF is the one telling them most of the info and they suspect that more people were involved so they might not be giving all the information at this time since they are looking for more individuals.

Your link to the BBC report and the map they have were the tourists were camping was wrong. They were at the beach kind of on a little cliff overlooking the water from the pics I've seen. Also they did take the tires from the vehicle and put them on the GFs truck.

    Homeless Solution

Round up the hundreds thousands us homeless addicts, give them bus fares to Tijuana where housing, food, drugs pussies are cheap.

Let them screw around with the Cartels.

Will solve lots of us problems.

The lesson is simple. Life is cheap. An article yesterday said the killer put the tires on his GF car. If you watch tik tok there's many guys stealing cat converters in usa that pull out guns and shoot when the car owner realizes what's going on. The minimal price to kill someone for monetary reasons in mexixo is about $5 dollars. So yes someone will kill you for your tires especially if you walk up to them in the middle of it.
Sorry, I have to disagree, I would bet 85-95% of deaths of Gringos in Mxico is Drug related, one way or another. This can be as simple or family member owing money to the wrong person, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If you mess with drugs in a foreign country bad things will happen sooner or later.

    3 Surfers Murdered in Ensenada

Mexican press rarely does independent investigation. In this case they only repeat what the Baja Norte AG told them, and she did not have hard evidence, did not give out a lot of info, only a theory the banditos wanted to steal the tires. Wonder how she can be sure they just wanted tires?

I think there is more to this triple murder than just a random robbery. There were quite a few cases in Tijuana where Americans, including high school kids, tried to score some drugs, ended up kidnapped and murdered. I would wait for more information from reliable sources. May be the bros know people with inside information. Baja LE has incentives to spin crimes involving foreign nationals like this one. The Mexican press does not know everything. Even when they know big stories, they may be too scared to report them truthfully.

Random violent crimes of opportunities against tourists are far more serious than violence between cartels.

Maybe the US could try to discourage the use of heavy drugs instead of letting cities be over run with drug attics. As long as there is a demand criminal groups will find a way to supply it.

So I'm not sure your theory would work since the actual people that would be trying to fight the Cartels would be killed. So far this year in Mexico they have had numerous politicians or people wanting to run in the upcoming elections be killed. Right now the Cartels run more of Mexico than the government from what I see and hear.

I don't believe there's an easy solution and unfortunately both the US and Mexico have let it grow over the years instead of dealing with the problem in the beginning.

You guys should stay in the city as much as possible when in Mexico because cops stay in the city. The further from the city you go the less likely of security. It's like that across Mexico whether it's Mexico City or Tijuana. Most of the slaughter is outside the cities. The Mormon ambush, the student massacre. Shit usually happens on roads between big cities. If you are crazy enough to travel out of the city, take a backup with you and a couple of mags. And no. It's not cartel vs cartel only. That is a lot of wishful thinking. Good luck.
