    Trip to Tijuana soon

Hello all, longtime global mongerer including some places around Mexico but never been to Tijuana. Until now. I've wandered around various SE Asian, African and European countries at night (and all around the US' hairy cities) and overall never felt too uneasy. But reading through these forums extensively the past few days and seeing the news, I'm getting a little uneasy.

For a first-timer who doesn't want to mess around, what would be the consensus safest way? I have a room booked at Cascadas already and plan on not leaving the premises of HK / Cascadas and maybe Adelitas. Strictly going to drink, eat and hobby. Don't do drugs or have any interest in them.

I was going to take the tram to the border, walk across, have some cash on hand in case a border patrol agent decides I look like an easy target and get an UBER not a cab to HK. Conversely, I am considering the HK private limo. Would this be the safest option?

And returning back to US, limo or Uber back to border.

Thanks in advance for humoring this old paranoid Tijuana noob.

    2 shot outside Chavelas

    Cocr,

Chavelas' back door was nailed shut with a metal door.

I did not ask HK 's security guys. Have no idea how those 2 guys do.

The pics show both shot in the chest, lying cold on a big pool of blood right inside Chavelas' back door. Shot at close range, waited for 15-20 minutes before EMT could get there. I think their chance of surviving is slim.

The mood at the club's doors was somber and scared. Will ask them this weekend.

Yeah, I definitely would not recommend wearing anything looking nice while on the trolley. It is not as bad as the LA trolley. But it is pretty close.
Yea I've felt more uneasy waiting for and on the blue line than I have ever in Tijuana.

I take the trolley blue line all the time from the American Plaza station to San Ysidro and never had an issue. Sure there are some batshit crazy people, but just ignore them and don't engage in even the minutest of chit chat. Having said that, if an idiot chose to test me (in other words physically assault me), they'd quickly realize that I'm quick and have power in both hands.

The middle income people don't take the trolley in San Diego unless it's for a Padres game just parking 3 stops away. AR the trolley station I saw 7 Latino guys have argument with 1 of their friends and then surround him, ready to pounce. He walked slowly as they surrounded him, till he got to the garbage pail and pulled out a machete from the pail he stored ahead of time. That's basically san Diego public transportation for you.

The last few times I was Tijuana there seems to far less dealers in the Zona & by Hotel Cece. I usually hang out by Hotel Cece to oberrve the girls and wait for my regular girl. Yesereday I only 2 dealers come out around 8 pm. The police and national guard have been arresting more of the street dealers.

    Hello,

I was nearby at Valerio when this happened. Heard all the sirens coming but didn't hear the gunshots. Walked around and saw the yellow tape and such. The alley was empty of Street girls while they were cleaning up but by the night time everything was back to normal. I feel like the locals see it as a part of life. There were girls on the side streets facing the alley as if nothing happened.

    HK's security

HK recently installed a lot more security cameras on all 3 floors in the club, also in Cascada, manned by a bunch of security guys in a central control room, just like big Vegas casinos. They constantly surveil clients in the club and record in HD videos.

Most likely security cameras detect a guy's irregular activities and alert security guys on the floor to check. If the guy did not cause any problem, security had no right to evict him. A wingman was acting wildly, dancing around in front of the main bar drawing attention to himself, interacting with a stripper without tipping. 2 beefy meseros grabbed him by his arms, dragging him out. I thought I was their well-known client so I told them, " he's with me, let him go. " Meseros barked back "We know. He pays or he goes. " I gave the guy a few $. Meseros dragged him to the stage where he tipped the stripper and was let go. She was watching the ugly scene while stripping, never missed a beat.

Twice I saw guys got grabbed and dragged out by security for jacking off at the stage. One beefy guy put up a long struggle, banging around on the floor against 5-6 meseros, grunting, groaning but not verbally protesting. They were careful not inflicting injuries on him.

The 2 dealers were shot in front of hotel Edouardo the alley, not inside Chavelas. They ran into the bar for cover. The shooter shot a few more round, got the one in black Tshirt in the right butt and thigh. No guns were brought into Chavelas. The tall security guy was unarmed, probably ran inside the bar to hide himself or he could be shot too. What could he do without guns? They risk their lives working 10-hour shift for $15. I feel sorry for them, give them a few bucks when I get in.

Adelita and Valentina have armed security guys at their doors. That may deter any attempt of violence at their door steps. HK may want to have armed security to keep violence away.

HK management have assigned most of its security to walking around HK and work with the meseros to force customers to either buy a drink or vacate a seat even if a customer sits at a bar. So HK have assigned HK security the task of selling drinks through a meseros. In the mean time, a single HK security guy handles the security at the metal detector, and no one to supervise to him ensure that a perp is not bribing the HK security guy with $5.

This is not a theory. I was asked by HK security to buy a drink while sitting at a bar after her received a wink from a mesero. Yes, a fucking actual wink. It was surreal. And yes, I have brought contraband into HK even AFTER the shooting in Las Chevelas HK by bypassing a single guy working security. No, I didn't even use bribery. I just used some distraction.

The entire HK security set up is really a scam. It is not intended to actually work and stop anyone intending to bring a pistol in. It is more of a "show" to help mongers feel safer so that they can tell themselves that they are safer here than LOS Angeles, or Chicago or Houston, etc.

Yep, my username was actually taken from one of the characters in The Wire, LOL. Fantastic show. Those dealers are little more than "pawns in the game" as the show would say. But it goes without saying. This isn't just a Baltimore or Tijuana thing. This is more or less how the drug game operates in pretty much all major urban areas worldwide.

DEA busted 3,500-lbs $33 M meth in Riverside

    Ouch!

Area code 951 people in Riverside county have been working hard with Sinaloa cartel to feed Meth addicts in the US. Trafficos were probably flashing their cash, raining greens on ugly strippers in putas bars in Tijuana and Riverside, drawing attention from LE and enemy cartels. Some heads will roll for losing this $33 M stash.

If DEA caught $33 M, may be 10% of total, likely $330 M worth of Meth gets through the border into the US every year, not counting other drugs and illegal migrants. Sinaloa cartel is good with digging tunnels across the border. Areas under Otay Mesa and Mexicali are likely porous like beehives, full of tunnels of all lengths. Polciias and local politicians never noticed the million tons of dirt excavated and trucked out of these tunnels. They probably hold ribbon cutting ceremonies with cartels' honchos and hold their hands out for monthly payoffs with cash, drugs and girls.

Soon the US will be fully populated with drugs-crazed zombies who elect their cartel suppliers into all levels of local and federal government.

    https://kmph.com/news/local/los-ange...meth-bust-ever

LOS Angeles DEA makes largest meth bust ever by Stephen Hawkins Thursday, October 6th 2022.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. FOX26 — The LOS Angeles drug enforcement agency says it has made its biggest methamphetamine bust ever.

The DEA announced it seized approximately $33 million worth of drugs last month in a single bust.

We're told police recovered approximately 3,500 pounds of meth and 66 kilograms of cocaine at a home in Riverside County.

The DEA says the bust is believed to be connected to the Sinaloa Cartel, an organized crime syndicate out of Mexico that specializes in drug trafficking and money laundering.

    Cartels' control

    Travv.

Mexican cartels control factions of both local politicians and policias in Tijuana.

Most Latin countries are so corrupt, everybody from peasants, street dealers up to ministers, commandants, generals, presidents, takes money, gifts, drugs, girls from the drug trade.

Before 2008 drugs sales here were brisk. When the dealers showed up at night, 2 dozens men and women would jostle in a long line to buy their 50-peso packets of rock cocaine. Dealers would hide their stash in the utility holes on the sidewalk, sometimes on top of the air conditioner inside Las Chavelas.

In the last 5 years drugs sales here has gone down drastically. Typically a team of 2 dealers would run back and forth across Callejon Coahuila, mumbling "Cuanto, cuanto," selling to pedestrians and cars small 50-peso packets about every 15 minutes. They sell about 10 hours a day, 40 packets for 2,000 pesos or $100, out of that they would earn 30% commission, $33 a day for both, or $16.50 each.

A number of dealers have been shot to death at that and other nearby spots in La Zona over the year by rival cartels for the right to sell. Dealers know they will eventually get shot to death but still take the death risks to earn $16.50 a day. That's the price of a human life in Mexico.

This is Moiss Antonio alias "El Moy", 26 years old, who had been arrested on at least three occasions for various crimes related to drugs and weapons, but who was released.

"El Moy" was not only identified by the intelligence areas of both the Prosecutor's Office and the Municipal Security Secretariat as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of the municipal agent, but at the time of his arrest yesterday, he was carrying a squad-caliber pistol. . 40 with which he tried to kill and injured two men in the bar, which tested positive for ballistics with the weapon used in the murder of the Municipal Police.

Also, the truck in which he was arrested, a black Ford Explorer, is the same one he used the day of the crime against the municipal agent and which was videotaped by security cameras.

Carpio Snchez confirmed when asked by Punto Norte, during the morning session of the governor, Marina del Pilar vila, that "El Moy" will be accused of the attempted murder of the two subjects in the bar, but also for the murder of the policeman.
This all sounds like reckless disorganized mayheim. Keeps the same gun and car from a police shooting? Shoots up these guys right outside Hong Kong back door? Just that info alone would make me think it would never be the cartel. At least not the one in charge. It would have to be a new cartel that wants to make the news in a big way. Like purposely sacrificing 1 dude for some media attention. Most likely it's not a cartel just low level unprofessional, minimal experienced criminals. Who put as much planning into their crime as the LOS angleles mom dad and 17 year old who killed pnbrock while he was eating in a restaurant in LOS angles a month ago.
