The migrants are holding noisy, agitated, violent protests on Tijuana streets, hoisting up national flags of Honduras and Guatamala, assaulting policia, rushing the Us borders.

Migrants are taking over Tijuana. This is a defacto invasion of Mexico by Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, spearheaded by migrants, organized and probably paid by their governments, to destabilize Mexico and the United States. Border closures will do lots of socio economic damages to people of both see ountry.
Mexico should round them all up, fine them for the damages and punish them for the troubles they caused, pack them 100 each into buses or cattle trucks, and ship them back to where they came from. Only 50 buses or trucks are needed. Mexico can easily do it. It's the best way to prevent further security problems and potential bloodshed along the border.

Posts: 2569Are the caravan migrants wandering around Tijuana or stick to specific areas. ? When I was in Tijuana on Friday the week before Thanksgiving I did not see any of the migrants. I wondering because I am a bit concerned we could possibly see a rise in ratero activity. All this craziness may make it easier for the ratero's too rob people. !

Posts: 2569The border is open now. You can check bordertraffic.com for more updates for free. The webcam shows a long line. Really makes me angry that the migrants are screwing things up. If the migrants try and rush the border they should use pepper balls and tear gas on them.

Hello,
Can reliable people confirm exactly how long the border will be closing for each time? Also is there a website on each report and time interval the border is closed? I'm sure many of us want to know this information seeing as being stuck in Tijuana is going to make trips down there extremely inconvenient! Multiple people and I already have to take precautions now before the next trip. Thanks guys. Stay safe.

Anyone know if the border is back open? Have a feeling this game of cat and mouse is going to make the border situation suck. Lots of people are going to be pissed on both sides of the border!
People will lose jobs and business if these shutdown continue. This may turn very violent with the migrants on the receiving end of violence for messing with so many peoples livelihood.

Posts: 6522The UN Convention and Protocol on Refugees.
The UN Convention on Refugees was adopted by 150 countries in 1951. The US delayed and addopted the amended UN Protocol on Refugees in 1968.
By both the Convention and the Protocol, refugees have to seek asylum at the first country they arrive at. If they don't, they become illegal migrants subjected to local immigration laws. Legal refugees then stay in the second countries and wait there for adoption by third countries, on basis of family ties, persecution risks, education, skills ect.
This protocol has been followed by all countries for refugees of war in Asia for the last 40 years. Central American migrants, who refuse to seek asylum in Mexico first, made themselves illegal in Mexico and subject to denials of asylum by the US. Immigration lawyers, drooling of loads of high-priced legal cases, will tell these migrants different stories to enrich themselves, but the migrants' chances are very slim, next to nil, after breaking the laws of Mexico and violating the UN protocol.
Immigration courts are responsible to filter out illegiitimate asylum seekers, who may become social burden and criminal risks to society. But I have seen US courts make many exceptions for truly persecuted individuals and families, also for educated, moral, high-potential individuals who can contribute positively to the US and to mankind. Individuals like Dr. Albert Einstein, Andrei Sakharov were always welcomed and protected by the US.
