Posts: 2421Heavy military presence over the weekend. Funny, but they were busy removing a lot of the homeless people in the area.

Posts: 703It's happening in Puerto Rico too.
I like most PRs people however too expensive for me to move my gringo ass there.
Also FYIs PR Govt. ruined their economy long ago with high taxes (internal business) and over spending so most PR people phucked and have long since moved from PR to Orlando (spicky mouse LOL) etc.
Bad Bunny a PR right? His music so cool!

Posts: 657Californians Gentrifying Mexico. . . NY Times
Californians and other Americans are flooding Mexico City. Some locals want them to go home, posting signs around the city that tell newcomers to go home. Here's why:
Sign by Mexican locals: "New to the City? Working Remotely" They read in English. "You're a fucking plague and the locals fucking hate you! Leave!
Commenters:
It was in an 'over-tourism' piece that I first read the term: 'social pollution' to describe the impact of having your social spaces in your own community being full of foreigners. Guessing Mexicans are tired of being overrun by Californian social justice warriors, feminists and soyboys from Frisco. . . There are limits to even what Mexicans will tolerate! LOL.

Posts: 2594Mexico needs to start investing more to improve their water infrastructure. One way to would be purify all that polluted water that flows down that smelly flood control channel. The water could be used for grey water or for taking showers & toilets etc. No one drinks the tap water in Mexico so this would not be a big issue. Another option would be for the US to build a treatment plant & charge Mexico for the clean water. Doubtful in the Mexican govt would go for this however. Personally I have not seen much water conservation restrictions in the Zona.

Posts: 140The youtube clip focused on Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Water shortages have been a known issue in that city for at the least the last month.
In Tijuana when they have shortages, zona centro, rio and norte haven't been affected up to now (or at least the commercial blocks).

People were commenting some homes are only able to use water at certain times. Anyone know anything about this? Will this affect zona Centro, zona Rio or zona Norte?

More news of the sindicatura not doing his job as only 10 police have been suspended in his tenure and many given their gun and badge back so they can repeat the same behavior and possibly retaliate against their victims. There is no Transparency as no police photos are ever published in the news with their criminal cases. The position of sindicatura is only for public relations Rafael Leyva Pérez not to provide support to tourist who are robbed as there are no English Speaking staff in the sindicatura office which I have personally been to. The process is a joke as they do not even get a inked copy of a criminal complaint from the victims of the heinous crimes committed against them. So if only 5% of officers reported are criminally prosecuted and a high chance of them returning to the same position, they will reoffend. So why not take a chance and rob an American tourist in Tijuana, Baja California or Rosarito Beach Uncensored! If the probability is your not going to get in trouble for your theft, doesn't this support more of the same behavior. Where are the police officers that are criminally charged ever posted in the paper? They have superior rights over all other Mexicans even as a member of the public who robs people is publicized in the news. The same accountability needs to be given to criminal police officers.

Pro Tip:
Bring quarters with you. If the customs restroom is closed you will need them to use the bathroom at the Mc Donalds next to the trolley. Jack and The Box is free but my bladder prefers Mc Donalds since it is closer.
