It is funny you mention VM, the only people I have heard of going their are taxi driver's, the guys selling things at the beach, cooks, and security guards. I would not recommend it but each our own for the other member's.

right - if you want Caviar and Champagne you have to pay for it. The best of Rio is certainly not for the budget traveller. Maybe you have read my comments about people going to VM! You get what you pay for. That is everywhere in the world the same. The women in Rio are so hot and I really want a high standard of a woman to go out with, to have fun.
