Dr. Skank as someone who uses Photoshop professionally there is no better programme. One does not need CS though - any of the other programmes 7, 8, would suffice.
It is the programme of choice for graphic artists and pro photographers, lay out artists, etc, etc. Of course there are others but there is no programme on the market that gives you as much bang for your buck when it comes to minipulating photos.
Photoshop does have the element that you are looking for but I do not use it as I never have any reason to soften or mask a picture. True, Photoshop is definitely a very complicated, not so user friendly programme but it has endless combinations. I use a mixture of Fotostation Pro and Photoshop 8.
If you ever used more then 10 precent of the programmes possibilities, that would be a lot.
( I am no in any way associated with Adobe, the company that develops the Photoshop software)
Cheers.

Well, I think you may have "similar" results in PS-CS2 by using "actions/image effects/soft focus", but you are definitely in more control of the texture correction degrees in PaintShopPro9.
In PSP-9, you can try entering some parameters manually and see which suits your taste best. After correcting and "softening" the picture as a whole, you may retouche and sharpen some areas like eyes and hair or whatever you want to be seen clearly again, of course except the skin texture.
Honestly, I find PS-CS2 more user friendly in adjusting contrasts, levels and saturations, but also believe that this correction function of PaintShopPro9 is nearly unbeatable.
So, when I try to correct and modify some pics, I use them both. Though I have not posted any facial images here, please keep in mind that skin texture correction works at its best when applied on a portrait image.
I must admit that I am not a pro in this post-processing and some PS expert member of ISG might point a similar function of it. You know that PS is so complicated that it is nearly impossible to be aware of all it's functions.
One thing more, try using "aged photo" effect in actions menu of PS-CS2 and you will also have a nice dreamy image, though not the same as the ones I have exampled here. But, possibilities are endless as well as the tastes in photography. You never know before you try
Best,
U.

Very nice Ufbebaba !
I am also a photo buff and use Photoshop regularly to adjust saturation and contrast, or add details.
Like what you've done with skin texture... does photoshop have such a function or do you really have to work with PaintShopPro9?

Posts: 121Modifiying by Adobe PhotoShop CS2 and Jasc PaintShopPro 9
I post the following to see the difference in raw and modified pics.
The modified ones are retouched in lighting conditions (by setting new levels), added saturation and slightly enhanced contrast by CS2 and skin texture was corrected by PaintShopPro9.

Posts: 416The best free video editor for masking and many things is:
http://www.debugmode.com/wax/
Many features are better than those found in not-free editors, those bundled with your camcorders, even better than some expensive ones.
The function you are looking for is 'keyframing'. You can easily mask the face if the person isn't moving much, or even walking fast in a straight line.
Overall wax is as easy to use compared to entry level editors like ulead, but a lot more powerful. Wax also absorbs all the public domain filters of virtualdub, and many more.
Most of these public domain editor doesn't write, sometimes read, mpg files, because of the license fee. But you can download a free codec such as xvid, which produce higher quality video with smaller file size using mpeg4 technology. Anybody watching pirated free porn movie on the net knows how to view the files, and videolan VLC media player plays them all, including H264.

But just some advice as you get into digital movies, after you have shot them, loaded them, edited them, etc, you have to render them, i.e., compress them and change format to eventually burn them to DVDs. Here is where the difference between the cheaper products (Pinnacle (easier to use), and the more expensive products Premiere and Vegas -- each now retail at $500 plus, and throw in Canopius Procorder and their editor--- manifests itself, the rendering codecs. The better the rendering codec the better the DVD end product (if indeed you want to burn DVD's). Since the "Thai" price is the same, don't cheat your end product. It will take you more time to familiarize yourself with either Vegas or Premiere--they are not intuitively obvious-- and you should read/use their user manuals (available free either with product, from website, or find online (Kazaa, etc)

Dear videotechs,
I'm thinking of taking the leap from naughty pics to naughty vids, but want to know how to mask faces on vids (technologically, not physically). I remember Sugababa had some advice on this, but can't find it now. Any tips much appreciated.
cheers
Piper
PS - wrong thread, but I think links to www.sexuploader.com is the way to go rather than slow down ISG. Jackson - good opportunity for cross-marketing.

Posts: 4050James D - if you look very closely, the girl in the pic "ouch" is actually trying to check the time on her watch. Kidding - nice shot. And congrats to you and Asian Rain for the guidance on vid techniques.

Posts: 240I understand your decision James...can't understand how little interest there was. The movie you put up was great!
Personally I still prefer the real sound, no matter how crappy the quality is, it adds to the atmosphere. But if you make music vids out of them of course you won't need it...

Posts: 416Sorry, not enough interest for me to go through the hard work. Someday. 1st I have to edit out myself, and for some discreet girls, their full frontal faces. Hosting is another problem. I don't like mpg1 sized tiny videos, no point. For DVD sized video, the hosting that I used for that 30 clip is about the most flexible, but the maximum size is 30 MB, which is the size of the clip. I can post unlimited files, but there's too much trouble to break up into 30 sec clips. I can use Mpg4 and break into a multipart file, but it will discourage further people who want to watch it.
My video has no sound. I like to make music video. Another reason the sound from the cam is not good and too far away. Someday I'll get a separate digital voice recorder and put it on the night stand or beside the pillow, to capture all the pillow talks.

Actually I don't get high from the usual pussy shots and tit shots here. But whenever I saw this video with me in action, I get a erection and lead me to call her more often than I wanted to. Attached is two screen shots. The link to the 30 sec clip is here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/1907970/beer.mpg.html
Scroll to the bottom, choose free (or not if you want to pay) to get the page with the link. Scroll to the bottom again. If the file link appears, you can click and download it in about a minute, for 30Mb with a fast connection. If the link doesn't appear, you will be told how much sec you have to wait. Or if the system is busy, you have to come back later. I have a lot to share if enough people are interested.
