Day 11, Sunday March 9, 2014 Singapore Day 3 (Geylang):
Final verdict on Singapore: I wished I would have scheduled a few more days here. I was having such a good time. But by the time I reached Changi, I was already looking forward to my next port of call: Phnom Penh and something completely different. Day 10, Saturday March 8, 2014 Singapore Day 2 (Geylang):

It was an inconvenience, but not a major problem.

Shit, I remember the days when I use to travel without a computer or phone. I loved being out of touch and away. All that started to change in the 90's. Now we are such slaves to the technology. In less than ten minutes I was in Geylang. The taxi let me off midway down Lorang 20. It was still light out, but the place was starting to rock. I could see various punters walking down the Lorong and going into houses. The street walkers were already out too.

I love Geylang and I really missed it. IMHO it is one of the best mongering places in all of Asia. If you are a fan of Beach Road, Soi Six, AC, or the FL's on Sukhumvit and around Nana, I think you would really like this place. The quality of the FL girls is higher than Beach Road or the Six. The FL girls hang out on the side streets, called lorongs, in droves from around 3 pm to 4 am in the early morning. They congregate in loose groups according to nationality on the even numbered side streets between Lorong 10 and Lorong 22 south of Geylang Road. There you will see large number Indonesian, Thai, and Chinese girls. The prices for FL's range from a low of 30 sgd to a high of 100 sgd depending on the type of girl and her overall quality, but most girls ask between 60 sgd ($48) and 70 sgd ($55). It is less if you are a local or Asian. If you accept a girl's offer, she will then want to take you to her favorite ST hotel for minimal added cost. Some girls will only go to a certain hotel and won't go anywhere else. Make sure to bring your I'd or the hotel will not let you in.

But you can also choose stay to in Geylang for around $45/ night at decent, clean, quiet, safe hotel and take as many girls up to your room as you want. I stayed at the Fragrance Hotel Crystal on Lorong 18, in the heart of the Geylang action one trip for $45/ night. So Geylang can be fairly inexpensive and yet the quality and quantity of girls is high. It is what I mean when I say that Singapore is one of the best kept secrets of the punting world.

And another amazing thing about Geylang, aside from all the poontang, is there are great restaurants up and down Geylang Road where every night can be a different gastronomic treat. The local Singaporeans all know about the culinary treasure found on Geylang Road.

So personally, I think Geylang is actually better than Fields Road or Soi 6. It is at least, competitive and comparable to Pattaya and AC. I know that is saying a lot, but that is just how good I think this place is.

OK, My Night in Geylang: I got out of my taxi in the middle of Lorong 18 and started to walk around. I like the FL's, but I tend to do more punting in the "houses" or casas. The lorongs of Geylang are lined with houses which were formerly just small family homes. The houses have been converted to bordellos with a reception area for customers, a waiting room for the girls, and bedrooms. The bedrooms are roomy and clean and have private bathrooms.
