Since I am traveling with company I do not want to be "in" Geylang, just close to it so I can sneak out and walk there or take a brief bus/cab ride. Is this possible? Cost is of no big relevance since it is just a short stay.

I concur entirely. Without wishing to queer their pitch business wise, I'd like to hear some stories about good experiences with the Indians / Sri Lankans.
