Hi. I am confused after reading reports whether Brix is open? If not where has the quality action moved?

I don't know how you can be confused whether Brix is open or not? It's definitely not open, and no recent reports here sat it's open. Brix and its parent Grand Hyatt Hotel have been closed since 2022 for major renovations.

I'm hearing Brix and the Grand Hyatt will reopen later this year but nobody is taking bets on if it will be the same Brix as before. Especially as Singapore appears to be cleaning things up in the 'night life' arena, and without OT down the road to provide and encourage the flow of WLs walking between OT and Brix, Brix might just become a boring place.

But then again, look at Ipanema, which is the sole survivor from OT and moved to a downtown location in an office block, promotes itself as a live music venue but has turned out to be pretty much the same pick-up joint as before, expect that the prices are sky-high so most punters and WLs seem to walk away empty-handed.

So to answer your question, I'm not sure the 'quality action' has actually moved anywhere.

I had a total of five days to explore, opted for a combination of two days in Singapore and three days in Jakarta. Singapore is a great city with diverse food and culture, it’s definitely worth to spend a day or two to explore, but pricey just like Dubai to monger.

For local Transporation, Singapore MRT is extremely well connected to get around, I purchased 3 day tourist pass with unlimited rides on MRT, LRT, buses which proved to the best decision as I didn't take Grab or Taxi even once.

There were lots of pretty girls at the bar at Marina Bay Sands Casino. Obviously they are looking for punters. Mix of white, Philippine, Chinese. Thai girls. Not sure what the asking price. I am sure many who are staying there pay top prices. When I was a gambler and used to frequently to Las Vegas few years ago I have splurged on good looking girls at the bar depending on how much money I won. Same in Singapore I believe.

As for MRT, you do need to buy tickets anymore. If you have a visa debit card just tap at the entry and gates open. It is cheap. I traveled all over using MRT including airport. No need for taxis.

Although Singapore is known for excellent Hawker Food it is eclipsed nowadays by much cheaper and fresher varieties in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Everything is imported from surrounding countries, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Philippines. If your purpose is to monger and have the option, just skip Singapore and go straight to these destinations where they can be had for more authentic, convenient, and affordable experience.

If you are here on a short layover and want to explore local talent, I would stick to Geylang. Other places Orchid Towers, Ipanema, Little India, Chinatown are more expensive or more or less the same cost as in Lorong houses. See my Geylang Talent field report under Geyland forum. Orchid Towers or Ipanema can set you back by $200 for short-time and $400+ for long-time, whereas Geylang it's $50 for 30 minutes, $100 for an hour for Thai and Vietnamese, and double this amount for Chinese as they considered as exotic here. There are lot of massage spas in Geylang, Burgis malls, Little India, Chinatown -- standard rate is about $60 for an hour, extras are $50 for HJ, and $100 for FS.

One hour flight from KUL to SIN on Air Asia.

Took Singapore, s excellent MRT to Hotel Grand Central. Nice hotel, nothing fancy but close to subway and orchard road.

Went to harbor front area. Played Blackjack at Sands casino. Lost hundred dollars. There were some single western girls obviously looking for punters but I did not approach them in the bar. I am sure they are asking astronomical prices. Room at Sands cost upwards of $800 US.

Had a nice rest. Kudos to Singapore for maintaining and expanding MRT system, My previous time was 15 years ago.

Glad to see punters sticking to their guns. The half-now half-later is certainly a good safe compromise. When I used to frequent Brix my other approach was, let's say the girl wanted 250/ ST (back many years ago when pricing was more sensible), I'd suggest 200 plus 50 based on performance, if she really looked after me that extra 50 was hers (also made it clear this was the full amount, no 'plus taxi money' nonsense). Every time they put in a solid effort, maybe this was their normal form or maybe they were extra-motivated, but they'd always leave me very happy and walk away with that bonus in their pocket.

What I noticed is that a lot of guys don't leave with the girls. So either the pricing is out of whack or the marketing of the girls is terrible.

Well let's hope they all learn from this and adjust both their price and attitude. It was a lot less common to see guys walking out empty handed from OT or Brix in the old days, unless they were just tire-kickers.

Ended up calling it a night and went home to sleep. Next stop. Hong Kong.

I hope HK will prove a better experience than Singapore, while many or most of the better known old haunts of Wan Chai have reportedly closed there still seem to be enough pubs and clubs around, plus there's the fertile hunting ground of WeChat's People Nearby function, plus DHs on a Sunday, so looking forward to reading your reports in the HK forum!

This is the best advice especially in these days of rising costs and for WLs largely unrealistic pricing, and is also good for blokes visiting on business trips or holidays.

It was actually a strategy I adopted for Brie many years ago after picking it from here. My flight into Singapore would arrive in the evening, by the time I got to the hotel, showered, unpacked and had room service dinner it was pretty late, and I was pretty buggered from the early start and long flight, but of course Brix would be well into high gear and of course many women coming over from OT as well, so I'd head to Brix, grab a drink and a table in the corner where I could observe the action, take my time with the drink, and any ladies who approached me and I was interested in, I'd explain I had just arrived and was so tired but would love to catch up the next day or the day after, same routine for seeing one you were interested in on the floor and catching her eye and having her come over. So I'd get some numbers, head back to my hotel and crash. The next morning I'd start lining up some daytime visits for the afternoon. This is basically 'downtime' for them and they are usually not making any money at all, so they're usually willing to visit you and at lower rates because it's a 'bonus' opportunity for them, doesn't take away from their earning potential in nights at the club.
