Went to Geylang today. Walked every street from Lorong 10 to 20 (for exercise too). As expected, all brothels are closed. More importantly, they are just closed, not dismantled. Some houses seemed to be doing renovations with building materials and cement piled up outside. A couple had someone inside. I went in to chat with them. Both told me the same thing: Geylang will come back as soon as the Government gives the okay.
Going to Pattaya tomorrow.

Yes, another good feature about Geylang is the great variety of good and cheap food available in the area.

I will try to take a stroll next few days and see what is going on but I would not expect much and if anything on the down low.

I will be coming to Singapore in the middle of next month. Dose anyone know if Geylang has reopened?
PM me if you prefer. Before Covid, I usually visited Singapore 2-3 times a year and always posted a report when I visited Geylang. Thanks.

Posts: 1663I'd guess the situation is constantly changing.
Perhaps those members planning to visit could check it out when they get there and report back.

Is Geyland RLD open now? I see that SIN is opening up to a lot more countries including UK USA and Canada on 10/19 for fully vaccinated Travelers.

Would you be able to provide more details about what is available? I may be in country in a month or so and planning my adventure.
Thanks for any info you can provide!
