Geylang has changed alot in the time between my 2016 previous visit and my November 2018 layover. In that time a couple of quality Chinese 150 houses have been demolished and replaced by hotels and or apartment buildings and other former 150 houses have changed over into much cheaper Viet & Thai houses. And in addition, there are no more hordes of SW's roaming the side streets which used to be quite common after dark in the good old days.
