Which would render "legal houses" technically illegal.

Does anyone know if Singapore has a law against discriminatory pricing based upon your ethnicity? Most advanced countries in the West have that, but I realize Singapore may be different. But in case they have such a provision, Singapore law applies to the legal houses as well, right?

Haha! How about you start a campaign in the localpress for equal pricing?
Take it to legal action. We would like to see the press reports and TV pictures of the court action...heheee!

My first time in Geyland I just read as much as I could in this forum and had a great time. I walked out of the hotel toward Geylang Road and had guys out on the sidewalk trying to get me to come into fishbowls before I even made it the block and a half to the main road :-).

Keep in mind, you pay twice the price and get twice the time so it is not really discrimination.

The legal houses of Geylang seem pretty nice. I've popped my head into many of the $40 fishtanks and found many doable Thais who also clearly signalled they had no problems taking on a laowai dick. The problem was the OKT's who were very firm about applying discriminatory pricing because of my white skin. Refusing to pay the price that befits our inferior race (as someone very nicely put it previously in this forum), I had to seek out other options. While discriminatory pricing exists in the outdoor as well, there is room for negotiation in a free market and local rates or near are clearly attainable for those who enjoy a little pleasant & fun negotiation.

Meanwhile I'm just lobbying the bar owners in AC to raise the prices to the double (ie EWR= P 2000-2500) for Singaporeans only. With the rising numbers of Singaporeans coming in on Tiger, they stand to make a lot of extra money

But the theory behind offical red districts is having safer sex, but have not heard too many complaints so guess plan is working for Sgn.--remember the SW are a whole different ballgame--unregulated sex.

Thanks guys for the great info but I have another question if you don't mind.
Since the government has sanctioned Geyland as an official redlight district, do they also regulate the houses ie medical check-ups for the women?
Thanks

There are 9 Hotel 81s in the GL area - anyone that's located in L8 - 14 would be very conveniently located.

Rooms are small but very clean with attached bathrooms. And best still, you can ask the girls to come to your rooms instead of paying for hotels for your actions.
Either get a hotel room from Hotel 81 or Frangrance Hotel in that area. It will not cost more than $55 Sing Dollars for 1 night's stay. And since you are only staying for less than 1 day, believe me, you won't go wrong on the location of this hotel.

Will be in layover in SIN for one night. Arriving at 1:30 AM and departing at 4 PM. Any hotel suggestions in Geylang (in middle of action) so I can relax before going to sleep and after waking up during layover time. PM me or post here. Thanks.
