The last Internations event I went to had 130 people show up. Eighty were women and 50 were men. Forty minutes into the event that evening approximately 30 of those guys (for whatever reason) decided to depart. So an hour into the event, we remaining guys were greatly outnumbered and smiling profusely. By my estimates, at least 60 of those ladies were Japanese women and the others were non-Japanese. I can't speak for other cities in Japan but other Internations events I've attended in Tokyo always drew at least 100+ folks and mostly those attendees were women.

I was a accepted as a member and saw some pictures from the last event as well as the members that attended. There is an event next week. Just from looking at the pictures, I would say that generally the guys that do well at these kinds of parties will do well. Personally, I'm not that good at nampa, but I'll give this a shot. Yes, from my own experience (looking for dating partners, not for marriage) Worldfriends worked out better. I don't know Soulmates Japan.

As for me, I got a paid one-month membership on Worldfriends twice and it was definitely worth it. This was the only way to write messages and I got some very ice contacts. After the initial contact I usually changed to writing emails using my (anonymous) email account. This year Worldfriends had a promotion and offered me a free weekend membership. This weekend allowed me to meet new friends without paying at all.

I had little success on JapanCupid when I payed once for a month. I don't think I would pay again.

The free memberships on WF and JC only allow you to browse member profiles, use the search machine and send smiles / interests. You can't send emails unless you or the lady has a paid membership. When you have received many smiles / interests it is time to get a paid membership.

OKCupid is free, I. E. You can write messages for free.
