Thanks to everyone who posts on ISG. Using that information I planned and executed an amazing trip around the world in 2006. One little detail from that trip will show you how everyone's ISG posts help everyone else who reads ISG:

I was in a little outrigger ferry going from the island of Mindora in the Philippines, back to Manila via Batangas. The ferry picked up a lot of people in the little diving town of Sabang, because the power was out due to a typhoon and the tourism was way down. I knew from the ISG that Sabang had working girls in discos and how much they cost and how they compared with girls in Manila, etc.

The ferry was packed and a cute girl moved her bag off the seat and invited me to sit next to her. Today I ma back from my cruise and been to St. Maarten. I was there on Dec. 26th day after christmas. My sincere thanks to MEL365 and SMXman for the help and Router for giving directions on the map.

At about 11:30 a.m. I took cab and went straight to the Carolinas. As described did not have any sign but the door was open and was just accross Crystals club which has sign on.

As soon as I entered the bar, there were a few attractive chicas from Colombia greeted me. I set at the bar and in no time there were more than 10 beauties around. Most were from 7to9. very difficult to decide. Funny thing was that I was the only guy with very little speaking knowledge of Spanish. The room was nice and clean with A.C.and bathroom with tub.

i think the defiance and casa b girls do okay in the season. plenty of local guys, some tourists, esp at casa b, local white guys. and the local guys have money. in the dead season, no one has extra money for chicas (except me).

at casa bl you pay the bar before going to the room, even during the early afternoon. but no one checks on the time in the room. girls say they cannot leave at all without a bar fine.

at defiance, no one checks anything in the afternoon. there are probably still some cute girls there now, which i saw when i dropped in at 1am in mid dec.

in general, i did not feel that having the girls really desperate made for better service. the best is an unrushed time during a period when the girls are generally doing well (i.e., they feel positive that they made the right choice coming to sxm).

just my opinion. could be wrong as I cannot read their minds.

Zing, since you've been a constant presence and our "eyes and ears" on the island for over a year, do you think that without the "cruise ship crowd" girls in Defiance and Casa B. make a lot less than in Seamans and Carolina, and would that translate into better service (attemt to get repeat business?)

I think you make some excellent points here, and it could explain some of my own mistakes on my SXM trip. BTW I had an absolutely fabolous time the first ten days of my vacation, but something went wrong the last few days. I addition to what Zing says, may I add a couple of similar experiences made:

- Try to limit the selection of girls you go with. If the girls get the impression that you go with new girls all the time, after a while they will not work so hard to get their repeat, and trust me, you will miss the attention from the girls(!) and get a less rewarding experience at the club.

- After a TLN, be sure to treat the girl respectfully upon your next visit to the club. It can be difficult to change partner. I know I tried to do it respectfully, and still "failed"; in the sense that the relationship with my TLN got cold and affected my relationship with the other girls (less attention/less friendly attitude). This is also a question of language barriers. The more Spanish you know, the better communication, the lesser misunderstandings, the more fun you have, the better sex you get .... What better motivation can you ask for to learn a new language? ;-) Anyways, next time I will be more selective in my TLN pick. Once you have had a TLN with a girl, it may be hard to move on to the next girl.

Can anyone report a successful trip to Carolina with two TLNs with different girls? I am not sure whether this is possible, but I sure would like to know! :-) Anyone?

defiance opens in a very relaxed way about 1230pm, but there is never a crowd there in the afternoon. and almost no cruise ship people. this is a perfect time to visit defiance (in the winter mainly, rooms are quite hot in the summer, as there is no a/c). no time limits, no bar fee, pay afterwards, no bar fine to take a girl to the beach, etc. only downside: some hot girls don't bother going down to the bar at this time. so go at night and get their phone numbers, then call them about 1pm! another tip: you can slip into their room earlier thru the side gate, if you have prearranged an earlier visit, say at 1130am.

casa blanca opens about 230 or 3pm, but there are only a few girls in the bar. check the restaurant too, and outside (why are there girls outside, sitting on the rocks around the parking lot? because cellphones don't work in the bar!), if you want to do a survey of available talent. have never seen a cruise ship passenger or crew there.

after carolina, i did some errands and entered seamans club about 215pm. The place was jammed with guys, standing room only (4 cruise ships in port today), plus local guys (many people in sxm take the entire xmas week off, at least no work ever seems to get done). it seemed like there were no girls, only guys.
