Thanks Shark for the great reports on the casas and strip clubs. Just out of curiosity are there rooms for ST FS at Platinum or are the only options the $1500+ TLN's or the not quite as expensive option of having an accident by the third or fourth lap dance? I'm sure I will be more than satisfied with the regular casas on my next visit since I am fond of Latinas but your reports just got me thinking about the clubs.

I learned that SXM has these crazy crickets that, unlike North American crickets, make a high pitched noise that sounds like a really squeaky gate being constantly swung open and closed. If your hotel isn't well sound proofed, make sure you have good ear plugs because those damn things can get super loud!

Those are actually tiny little toads native to the Caribbean. In Jamaica they are called Whistling Toads. Not sure what the locals call them in SXM. When I hear them I know I am the islands.

Following my Christmas night debacle, I was able to enjoy two nights on the island before having to return back home. Thank you for to Mel for the "back door" recommendation when the clubs are closed on Christmas but I will have to leave the "breaking and entering" to you professionals, especially since I wouldn't know which rooms to knock on once inside since I didn't know any of the chicas on the island when I arrived on Christmas anyways. As someone else noted earlier, I am sure there is fun to be had on Christmas night on the island but only if you are there the night before and make plans with specific chicas for Christmas night.

So, I learned a few interesting things this trip. First, it would seem that the 25 year old age limit has been dropped to 22 years old. When one girl told me that she was 23 years old, I told her that no, this was not possible because the age limit was 25 years old. She told me that the 25 year limit was a rule from before but now it was different. Ok, so I didn't know if she was fibbing or not. So, later when I met another girl who told me she was 25 years old, I mentioned to her, "Ah, yes, this is the minimum age here, yes?" She also told me that 25 years old is no longer the limit, that the minimum had been reduced to 22 years old. I tend to think that she wouldn't be fibbing about this since she already told me that she was 25 years old and so had no reason to fib about the minimum if it were in fact still 25 years old. So, based on these interactions, I am concluding that the minimum age on SXM is now only 22 years old. Definite improvement!

Chicas at Carolinas must be present in the bar at 8 pm or else they have to pay a multa of $17 for being late on busy Saturday nights. So, you can generally be assured a full line-up at 8 pm or shortly thereafter but this is not true for the chicas showing up at 11 am. They take there time waking up and showing themselves in the daytime. Here are a a few quick stats for Friday, December 26,2014 to illustrate what I am talking about:

11 am: 3 chicas in the bar at 11 am at Carolinas.

11 am: 1 chica at Crystals.

11:46 am: 4 chicas at Hypnotic.

11:51 am, 4 black girls at Defiance.

12:24 pm: 12 chicas at Carolina's.

12:32 pm: 3 chicas at Hypnotic.

1:06 pm: 0 chicas at Crystals.

1:11 pm: 8 chicas at Carolina's.

I stuck mostly to Carolinas but did peek in some of the other casas at different times. As Sharks16 observed earlier, I found the Carolinas line-up to be superior to all the other casas.

I think the full line-up at Carolina during my two nights there was around 16 chicas at any one point in the bar during the evenings.

This is my third trip to SXM. I visited twice before during low season (on the cusp of high season, late October and late April). After being impressed with Medellin, Colombia, I thought it would be worth it to check out SXM during high season. Now that I've been here during high season, I found that the line-ups in Medellin are in fact better than the line-ups in SXM for my tastes. Since Latinas aren't really my thing, it's hard finding suitable candidates here. Me, I like the slim petite girls. That narrows the field quite a bit. Plus, I prefer a more European-look in the face, not so much the indigenous Latina look. So, that narrows it down even more for me.

From a facility standpoint, I much prefer the FKKs in Europe. While the facilities here are almost adequate, I find myself wishing for my FKK facilities every time I take a shower and clean up in SXM.

I think this will be my last trip to SXM. I gave SXM three good tries. I had a good time each time and was able to find one or two chicas who satisfied me, but given my experiences with the line-ups here and my tastes, it's just too big a risk to take a trip here with those kinds of odds. From now on, I will stick to Europe and Medellin. One day, I would like to visit Argentina, but my trip to Argentina is probably 2 to 3 years in the future.

I regret I can't give much in the way of girl-specifics since I sessioned with only 2 girls during my two nights in SXM. But here is what little girl-specific info I have to share:

Valetina in Room 17 at Carolinas. 23 years old. Slim petite Colombian. Nice girl, decent BJ (willing to rise to FKK BJ standards) and good sex. Things started out good between us, but unfortunately, she developed a bit of an attitude towards the end of our stay together but I'm just going to chalk that one up to chemistry and no fault of hers.

Stephanie in Room 6, 25 years old, Colombian. Nice girl, great attitude. Good BJ, good sex. As soon as I sessioned with Stephanie, my only regret was, "Why didn't I try her sooner before my last night in SXM?" She was definitely more GFE than Valetina. While she was not exactly my type, she made sure I enjoyed my time with her. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie to anyone who finds her visually appealing. You can't go wrong with this girl.

I'll be going next sometime in the spring. One of my buddies is dying to take out an EE girl. I have told him that the pricing is off the charts. He is determined though, so I will report here if he is successful. Personally I'd rather spend 3 nights with a curvy Colombiana for the same $$ but I can't fault him for being drawn to the EE look, which certainly has its own brand of sexiness. $1250 though? Yikes.

I will agree though that Platinum is a very nice strip club. It's been a couple of years since I've been there, but I remember it being of a very high calibre, and one of the best I've been to anywhere. I'm no seasoned expert on strip clubs, so take this with a grain of salt.

I think the other guys already have responded adequately and I don't have that much to add. Nothing wrong with wanting to get laid with a Platinum girl of course. They are hot. The issue is the pricing, AND the risk that you can't retreat at a price of $50 if it turns out disastreous.

If you guys are stuck on the island, then your friend is the only one who can decide if it is "worth it" or not. He has to follow his instincts and consider the alternatives. Man, could I have some fun at the chica bars with $1250 in my hand! But maybe he is wealthy and don't care much about costs and just wants the experience? Or considers this as a "one-off" and never again? It's for him to decide.

If travelling other places had been an option, then EE girls can be found all over most of Western Europe from 50- 80 euro (I. E. $60- 100) at same optic quality as at Platinum Club. While I have no personal experience with Eastern Europe myself, there are many reports concluding that you will struggle MUCH harder to get same or better quality bang for your bucks in Eastern Europe itself (optic quality / service standards / poorer selection/ language problems/ risk of scams). A lot of homework need to be done. I think most would agree that the German FKK scene is the best meeting place for EE girls (easy / timeeffecient, safe, reasonable, good quality). I am happy to be corrected though (but maybe by pm to not clutter up this thread any more?).

However, if Russian / Ukrainian girls is the key factor here, then it may be too late at the German FKK Scene, as they mostly disappared some 4- 5 years ago. The German FKK scene is dominated by Romanian (and Bulgarian) girls at the moment, but IMHO without any drop in the over all quality. To find a broader selection of Russian / Ukrainian girls you probably need to go elsewhere. But this is a separate discussion not belonging in this thread.

In previous years I had some fun negotiating TLN prices with the Platinum girls, and always found some willing to cut it to $500. I never went for it though, and I assume there is a risk that it not necessarily with a top-shelf girl, or that there will be some shortchange of performance, time or service standards. Last year in Spain I easily negotiated a TLN with a EE girl from 1. 000 euro to 500 euro in less than 2 mnts, and this was with a top girl who performed very well. Many girls struggle with getting employed at these prices, although I may have benefitted from knowing this girl for many years. There are also many similar stories in the German section of ISG.

As to hotels: I don't mind if anyone is doing an effort here, but I am reluctant to contribute much myself, except for a quick review of hotels that I have recently stayed at (coming up). The risk is that any "hotel report" quickly can be outdated (or does take a sincere effort to keep updated). And wouldn't TripAdvisor or Google Maps always be more updated and reliable anyway?

ISG at its very best is IMHO when we are reviewing the p4 p scene (clubs / chicas) and how we can optimize our adventures at this places. On this topic TripAdvisor and Google Maps just don't have a chance to keep up!

I've actually stayed here in the past. It's not a bad property at all. Staff are very friendly, rooms aren't bad, casino downstairs with plenty of room at the tables (five dollar blackjack) and they are pretty generous with the drinks. Plus if you've had a late night at the casino, all you do is walk upstairs. There are some seedy characters on Front Street lurking in the alleys once the town rolls up the sidewalks. Even on the beach in dark spots at night. My only advice to you is be careful where you park at night in Philipsburg. Assuming you're renting a car. You may find a spot on Backstreet or a side Steeg and think you're golden. But years ago I stayed at the Caribbean hotel. Down toward Great Bay Hotel on front street and parked on the side street next to the school across from the hotel and awoke to find my piece of shit rental car from Budget stolen. Had to get a police report and the whole nine yards. Luckily the folks at Budget were very apologetic and accommodating. But again, parking is a bad in Philipsburg and with an are on your license plate (rental), it's like having a bullseye painted on the hood. I can recommend some overnight parking spots in Philipsburg for the car if you are renting. PM me if interested. I don't want to jam the forum up with parking info! LOL!

If you want to stay in Philipsburg and want to have a car there are two places to consider.

The Horizon View. Kind of crappy but clean, safe and really great folks that run it. No food but there are sweet rolls and coffee in the morning. You can park in the alley next to the hotel but leave the keys with the front desk so they can re-arrange as needed. At night just toss your keys to the security guard and he will deal with the car. Pick your keys up at the desk next time you leave.

Pasanggrahan A bit more expensive during season but more of a boutique hotel. Excellent restaurant and they have their own underground parking garage.

The boardwalk area near both of these places has plenty of food and drink options. On the weekends the entire boardwalk is hopping, often with live music and is quite salfe.

I always say for work. And staying in Marigot. And as Mel says, it works! For a number of reasons.

1) For most of the chicas, Marigot, about a stone's throw away, is like another world, or they've never heard of it.

2) You automatically get put into a category different from cruise ship passenger or tourist.

3) Since you say you're on island for a month (working) they now know chances of you being a repeat customer are big time.

4) TLN or TLD or excursion during down time just took on a new meaning, since they think you're on island and have free time. In other words, the pressure is off for the rush date.

5) Easy exit strategy, especially in a club like El Capitan. I say I just landed, need to get to Marigot and check in. But I'll be back later. You leave without pissing a chica off.

6) Chica thinks you will be a repeat customer, sooner than later!

7) You are thought of by the chica in an entirely different light.

8) It actually gives YOU a more positive mental attitude about being on the island, especially if your a long time visitor.

9) Chica thinks you are muy importante!

10) And last but not least, it's dam fun! . , you're on vacation, in our little paradise, you can do, be, say, act, impersonate, anything you want to be! The truth doesn't matter her! LOL!

Very good point. My most disappointing experience was with a DR chica at ElCapitan. I came into the club with couple of shipcrew members I befriended during my bar hop, and the girl assumed I was with a cruise and provided a poor service. When I complained to her she said she did not care. When I told her I was on the island for couple of weeks, her jaw literally dropped. She was shocked. I did not bother to take it any further.

Next month I'm staying at the SeaView hotel in P'burg. Two years ago they quoted me a rate about half of what's posted. I email them the old quoted rates, and they keep saying they'll have my room. It's kind of a dump, but the rooms are nice and overlook the boardwalk.

Next time, I may do a "homeaway" online apartment. If there's more than one of you, it works out cheaper, and probably makes for a cooler TLN destination than a hotel. I looked into it recently, but was already committed to the Seaview for this trip.
