As far as RTTF. I have been. I read a little bit each day, I keep a tab open on my phone and I'm currently on page 155. I'm a reader and the stories are better than any adventure novel I could pick up right now. The stories from Mel, Routard, Zing, Scubatoo belong in a book. Hopefully someday, someone will tackle it. I only have a few questions and I am not going to be super anal about planning my upcoming trip minute by minute. I have learned in the past that when I get all crazy with my expectations it's hard for them to ever be met.
I do want to thank all of the guys who have come before me and contributed to this forum. It's a weird thing, in America at least, being a hobbyist. I think we all are indeed a special breed with a thirst for everything this world has to offer. I am a place in my life where experiences and making memories are better than any car, art, or retail therapy can provide. I am counting the days and the research, the reading, the intel, and practicing my chica Spanish to the cleaning ladies at my office are part of the fun and experience. Again, Thanks for all that contributed.
P.S. After reading way to many of Mel's post I will never not call an ass, Culo, again. LOL. I have even been singing that old Pitbull song where the course is an enthusiastic, "culo!

Posts: 9Headed down first week of November
Haven't been to the island in 10 years and I'm excited to go back. First time poster here, very active in the US forums. Thanks for all the intel. Hopefully I am getting there at the start of high season and the superstar chicas will be there. I am traveling solo for the first time and damn excited everything I do will be on my time. A happy 40th to me if you will. Love to link up with any fellow mongers that are there and share a Carib and some tall tales. Staying over in Maho at a boutique hotel, renting a car, and ready to party. I plan on trying it all. The chicas, the strippers, and maybe scooping a local out of a club or beach bar.

My friend in the island was out last night and ended up in Carolina. He said that there are so many hot women in there at the moment, he mentioned two by name, Lorena from Cali and another chica called Karen. He sent me a photo of Lorena and I agree she is very hot.
Hope this batch of Chicas is still there over Christmas and New Year.

Sailor Jim,
I also miss the old seamans. It was what you thought about when you thought of a brothel. The good old days were great.
The chicas in most of the clubs don't seem as wild as they were years ago.
I agree with you about Bogota. I really miss the Mansion and Casa Luis. They had the cream of the crop.
Medellin is a little dangerous for me in the last 6 months and I have avoided it. The bandas I feel are out of control.
Do you know of Florida Norteamerica in Bello?
How do you rate Campo Alegre?
I take a room there and many times there are some smoking hot crazy chicas there. I do have a local friend who keeps me posted of the caliente ones.
One time I went to campo, met a chica and was with her for a week, I followed her to Aruba twice, and then flew her into Bogota for a few days.
Do you actually sail?
If so what do you sail.
Best,
Mel.

Past few years and now definitely after the hurricane I am only hitting Capitan, Crystals and Carolinas. Always with a car and I'm always out of those places before 10:30 PM. Man I miss the old Seamans and Casablanca of yesteryear.

And it's safer and a paradise and speaking only English is not really an issue. You can rent a car and do your own thing more or less without constantly looking over your shoulder.
I agree with Routard in that having these girls far away from their homes and problems really loosens them up. In Colombia Bogota (chilly) has the best mongering but the weather is better in Cali (hot) or Medellin (Spring).
Girls from all over Colombia are beautiful but in my experience the girls from Cali are the most easy going, cool, chill and lie less. They go with the flow whereas Paisas and Constenas are more drama, headache and games. YMMV. In Bogota and more so Cartagena the girls travel from all over the country to work in those two places since there is more action to be had from tourists and locals. So In Bogota and Cartagena there are girls from Medellin, Cali and the coast working there. Costenas are more apt to take it up the pooper if that's your thing.
In SXM you get a good mix of Colombianans, Dominicanas a few Jamaicans and Venezuelans. Skinny, fat, natural, boob jobs the whole nine. The two higher end places have stunning European women but they cost more. Good luck.

Posts: 76Carolina's / El Captain / Crystals
So thanks for the advice. I actually hiked it from downtown PB up Suckergarden. It wasn't bad and since I went just past noon, I felt pretty safe. I got to in front of El Captains and kept going, misreading the previous posts that Carolina's was the first right before El Captains but instead it was past. Walked and ended up at a little market where I bought a water and was going to ask directions however the person behind the counter was a younger staff member or family member. I did not think it was appropriate to ask her. However, across the street there was a little hair salon. I noticed a motorcycle parked there so I ask the owner of the bike we're Carolinas was. He said it's about 5 minutes away drive. Offered to give me a ride so I jumped on the bike. He got me there no problem and didn't want a cent but I have him $5 anyways.
I went into Carolina's and was immediately approached by an very well proportioned Columbian. A bit older but was right in me. After the walk, I just wanted a beer. So I bought one and surveyed the bar. Lots of cruise ship staff for sure, about 8 chicas. Finished my beer and went across to Crystals. Ordered another beer. Surveyed the action and there were about 6 free girls. Again, nothing that I thought would interest me. Finished the beer and went back to Carolina's. While drinking my 3rd beer of the day I noticed two chicas coming from the back. Bother we're quite nice and shot one a smile. She came over and I bought her a drink as well. Chatted for a bit. She was 31 yo and nicely proportioned with a really pretty face and smile. Asked her the price and she said $50 for her and $10 for the room and so I agreed. The forum info was bang on.
The walk to the room was surreal. There's like an back room where the girls keep their kits and it seemed to me like walking into an Indian family hotel lobby. Weird.
So my time was with Lily, 31, from Columbia. Maybe 5'5", 120 lbs, nice see cups and honestly, a very sweet face. Gave me a cat bath then a CBJ before CG to completion. Lots of eye contact and just a nice time. Offered me a nice message to fill out the time. This girl is a keeper. YMMV but for $60 all in IMO, you can't get better. Other observations, the drinks were cheap. Lady drink and my beer for $10. Nice value.
Took a $3 ride offer to El Captain. Spent maybe 20 minutes talking to a beautiful black columbian. She said she was 23, could speak French so I was was confused. But she was nice and very flirty. For her johnny walker black and my beer I paid $10. Cheap again. She got a drink ticket (same at Carolina's) for a $1 bonus from the bar. She pulled up her shirt and presented me the perfect ass. Nice the cups. Did a bit of a lap gyro. I said I was too tired to go but I said, keep me company and I slipped her a $20. While talking she gave me little pecs on the cheek, access to those beautiful breasts and gave me a constant cock rub. So it was worth her while for sure and I honestly loved her company. Took a van bus for $2 back to Philiberg.
Awesome day.
That's my report.

Walking alone in SXM is reckless. There are still many, post hurricane, desperate people. Even the short walk from your parked car to the entrance in Carolina's is reckless. I have personally been harassed, walking from the entrance, to the adjacent sports field. The taxi drivers, coke dealers, and normal cast of characters which loiter the entrance will offer little support. Always swearing I'll never go alone again, only failing to heed my own advice. Same with the nighttime walks from Chesterfields in Aruba to the G Spot. Towards the end of the block. They too have have had shootings. Santo Domingo is even worse. Evan a short nighttime walk around the Marriott Jaragua or Crown Plaza is dangerous.
I don't understand why I place myself in these positions, and yet, I believe, many of do. This most recent shooting in SXM occurred in a super busy tourist area. If it can happen there, it can certainly happen near El Capitan, Defiance and Carolina's.
We should always think with our heads and try to never Monger alone.

Posts: 282Sad news coming out of SXM.
As DennisMP mentioned in his post titled "Walking" a tourist was shot and killed last week in the Beacon Hill / Maho Bay area. I did some digging. It was a 48 year old Canadian father leaving the Driftwood Bar with his daughter around 11 pm he was shot in the head, taken to St. Maarten Medical Center, and then evacuated to a hospital in Florida, where he died from the gunshot. And as I think Dennis stated, this is a very touristy part of the island, right adjacent to the runway of the airport, a bit past Sunset Beach bar, I do believe. Just when I thought the island was making a recovery from the Hurricane, this event gives SXM a real black eye, more so for tourists than mongers, but nevertheless for all thinking of a tropical getaway. You can google the key words and read some of the press releases coming out of St. Maarten and more details about the crime.
I always carry a "give up wallet" in my cargo shorts that has some ones and some of those fake cardboard type credit cards that the credit card companies used to send to entice you to sign up. Helps give the wallet some bulk and if shown a gun or knife to your face, you can hand it over with peace of mind! Also, always just carry a copy of your passport with you, and don't worry about carrying your license. The rental car company has seen it already and has given you the approval to drive the car. Leave the bling at home, even if you always wear that favorite gold chain. Get a 10 dollar throw away watch from Walmart before your trip, preferably a black one. Pseudo diver type, that won't shine or stand out.
Some pretty sick and desperate people out there, and to shoot someone in the head is pretty much as ballsy as you can get. If confronted, always comply and give up what's requested. Even the keys to a rental car aren't worth getting killed over.
