I agree, it helps a lot being able to communicate in Spanish. Attitude and service depend a lot on the feeling you create with the chicas. Yes, I was there once again. Some of the chicas from the previous time where still there. It was nice getting in that bar and being allready familiar with some chicas. The main airline for this route is DCA (Dutch Caribbean Airline) with a stop over in Curaçao. DCA is not a reliable airline. Here my report about my 24H experience in Seamens Club.

My flight was delayed for a day, so I decided to check for a hotel room and head for my favourite place. In fact, I started with the second one. 11 am, Seamans Club was just opening.

I like the atmosphere of this bar. Inside, you have some sea related items, reminding you the name of the place. During day time, there are only 5 to 10 chicas, and as much customers. During night time, there are around 25 to 30 chicas and 30 to 40 customers. The chicas are aged 20-25 and rated 5-8. There is a wide diversity under the customers: japanese and filipino seamens, black locals, white tourists, latinos, you name it. There is always some nice music, mostly latin music, as the lady behind the bar is from Dominican Republic.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, no hassling from the girls, no bad behaviour from the customers. I even noticed several local groups (white french from the french side) accompanied with their wife or girl friend pass along having a drink. It is true, their is really a nice atmosphere, something like the bar in the music clip from Justin Cimberlake.

I stayed all day long, and all night, till 3pm closing time, forgetting I had no hotel room booked. During the evening, there is a snack opening at the parking where you can eat some snacks. Appart from the sessions, I chatted, with the chicas, training my spanish skills, and trying to get to know all of them. Well, I had some really good time. If you are sincere with them, they open really their heart. One chica gave me some dance lessons, so I learned the difference between Cuban son, Domincan Merengue and Bachata, and Colombian Salsa. Another chica helped me by sewing my pant's in her room.

With my broken spanish, I still learned a lot about the chicas. Most are from Colombia (especially Cali), and some from Dominican Republic. They are on 3 month contract (for visa reasons). They work hard in order to bring back money to their family. Most have everyday telefone contact with their family in Columbia, as it is their only motivation. When I asked one of the cicas why I didn't see here during daytime, she told me she went shopping for bringging bach gifts to her family as it was her last days. I noticed also most have a child, although none of them dare to speak about boy friend or husband.

During their stay, the chicas live two in one AC room, every room having one large bed. The shower and WC is shared by two room. Lunch and dinner is offered in the kitchen area (not allowed for customers). The chicas are not allowed to get out, or they have to pay a fine at the bar, the same you have to pay to get her out (45$). At 9pm, they must be there, as they have to register themselves in a book at the bar. If you are at that moment at the bar, you are sure to see all of them.

The going rate is 40$ for 20 min BJ and FS protected. You may get down the price to 30$. Escort is also possible. Day escorting starting from 11 am till 9pm (as they must be back again at 9pm) or eevneing escorting from 9pm to 3 pm. Starting price is 300$, but you may get it down to 100$. You have to pay the bar fine (45$) seperately from the chica. I once managed to get a chica out for 50$ durying day time, as she just arrived and was currious to look around the island. But most of the time, she just will calculate the money she would have earned by staying at the club. The 8 rating chicas willl not go for 100$.

I noticed even a very nice looking chica (age 20 rate 9) I could never catch for a session. She was only doing escort. I saw here leaving at 11am escorting a middle east looking customer, and again at 9pm for a short period before leaving again alll the night for escort. I saw the customer paying everytime something that looks like 300$.

This is my favourite island in the Caribbean. You are free to enter and to exit of all these bars without paying anything (drinks starts from 2$). So feel free to check them all and make your own opinion. My opinion is allready settled.

Club 714, Le Petit Chateau, Kapper Bar are cattering more for locals. Don't feel unconfortable being the only white guy, as we are in Carribean. Most of the time as it will be noticed that you are alone, somebody will offer you a drink. But for the action you are looking for, it is not worth. A few Dominican girls, overaged and/or overweighted (rate 3-5).

Casablanca is really big with nice facilities (including a restaurant) and may be 30 girls. Most are from Dominican Republic. But sorry, I don't like it. I rate the girls 3-6, with most 4. See you are thinking of coming down to this part of the world. As Vagringo says Philipsburg is the area to find the action. His comments about the road and prices are pretty accurate.

The accommodation is were it all falls down, trying to find decent room that are chica friendly can be a problem in Philipsburg. There are places for that money, but I personally would not stay in them. Possibly a time-share or holiday apartment might be a better bet.

Roads can be a but tricky, but a rented car is a necessity.

You can get a take-out, if you pay a bar fine usually about $60-$70, plus what ever the girl asks for.

Just got back from one week trip to St. Maarten trip. Went to seamen's club. I was pleasantly surprised of the talents they had. Just returned from my favorite little island.

I discovered a new place. Actually, I found a couple of places, but would only recommend one. I THINK that the name of the place is "The Castle". If you are returning to Phillipsburg from the main drag of brothels, it woud be off the first street on the right after passing the Seaman's Club. Again, heading back to Phillipsburg, you turn right, and then left at the next street. "The Castle" is on your left, and a more seedy "club" is on your right.

Funny thing about the The Castle is that when I walked in, I initially thought that I made a mistake and ended up in a gay bar. I saw nothing but guys seated at tables, and a few of them were dancing. They looked to be locals. After a few dances......
