St Maarten follow-up, staff detail – sorry long winded and belated.

Here are some personal notes of staffers I was fortunate to meet and spend time with.

As most know this is very much a YMMV circumstance and I have a strong preference for funny over any other attribute. So what matters to me is having a good time with someone who is nice to me and makes me laugh.

Defiance and Carolinas were my favorites, each with similar characteristics. Defiance was always less crowded and thus easier for me to get to know the girls. Carolinas has the largest staff and on the 3 cruise ships in port days busy during the daytime & evening.

Carolinas is Grand Central with the most staff and okay restaurant. Likely the girls here make more money than the other places as it is busy. Lilly was my godfather at Carolinas who was very nice to me with a major sense of humor. She helped me meet some of her equally nice amigas – Maria, Natalia, Marianna, Alexandra, Paula (o), Amy and Viviana.

I met some other nice girls there who were more business-oriented – Angie, Alana – nice, but I didn't gain the rapport I like.

Two of my favorite experiences were at Crystal. Juliette (a) showed me a ridiculously good time. I doubt I've laughed that much cumulatively in most months in the States. Petite Chateau is a bit off on the attractiveness scale with all due respect. I was there early evening and spent time with Caroline / Carolina who proved to have quite the sense of humor – which I like. No English, coal black Columbian, younger for Petite Chateau and treated me well.

Casa Blanca was dead empty when I was there. I drove into the parking lot looking for signs of life and Rosie was walking up from the lower accommodation area up to what's left of the bar / restaurant. It was early like 7:30 and she said their business is midnight on and they are open to 7:00 am – perhaps weekend hours. She walked me in and it was literally empty. She worked the bar and rounded up the male bartender. Later 2 other girls came out. Food was good, but took forever. No customers the whole time. Rosie was transactional-oriented but warmed up a bit as I bought her a matching meal. Very high asking prices, but the room experience was good and she was fun.

Overall I was treated very well and felt safe most of the time. Had some anxiety when I was the only gringo but no overt problems other than a local at Defiance who complained bitterly to the girls (in front of me) about going with the white boy over the black man– yes I speak enough Spanish to understand what he was saying and also the girls told me when he left. It was an isolated incident and he did not physically threaten me, although I was uneasy.

P.S– Not all the clubs have drinking agua even if they have shower water. The government has setup public water stations at locales around the island. Nearest to the clubs is on Pond Island in front of the Little League baseball stadium just off Soualiga Road with parking on the street or behind with multiple taps which are free & 24/7. The girls need to tote their agua containers to the public station for drinking water using big plastic jugs which are very heavy when filled to take back – in addition they don't like to walk Soualiga Road as it is not safe. I did a mercy run for them filling up my car with water jugs which they would have had difficulty doing otherwise. It could be a big help should you notice the need.

I had two very good experiences at Crystal, but staff selection was limited.

El Captain was not my comfort dark, loud, limited staff with transactional attitude. I was told 12 staff.

Casa Blanca is open including the, pretty good, restaurant but only 6 staffers.

Petite Chateau still operates and I saw about 8 staff but they are mostly plus size ladies with little English.

Stopped by Sunset in the afternoon and saw 5 staff but did not engage..

I'm pleasantly surprised that inflation has not increased prices much. Fifty to sixty USD for 30 minutes was the case in Carolinas & Defiance – also Crystal & Petite Chateau if memory serves me. Everywhere there is a room charge of about $5, maybe one was $10.

El Captain & Casa Blanca were more and both were 20 minutes versus 30 minutes. Captain I believe was $50, Casa Blanca more I think asking price was $70. However, in each case the girls extended for me as we had a pleasant time.

My style is really informal and I like to gain some sense of relationship by talking, buying drinks, playing games such that we can have a "human" time together versus only physical. Perhaps because of this I had almost no pandering for "propina" or other crap. Frankly nearly everyone treated me extremely well – although by far best were on referrals from girls who already knew me and liked my orientation.

I had posted previously #6799 in regard to Lotus and some of other other higher scale clubs (no flip flops, shorts or t-shirts allowed) where some of the still unemployed local girls are selling their ass to make ends meet.
