Wanted to know if staying only 3 days is still worth the trip? I'm saving my last week of vacation days for Dubai but could still sneak away for a quick 3 day getaway and leave on a Sunday. Once again thank you for the all the replies and recommendations.

Absent some special event there isn't much of anything in downtown Philipsburg. As mentioned previously Simpson Bay and Maho are your best bet for everything. Simpson Bay. Lotus, Jungle, Bar Bamboo, Soggy Dollar, Red Piano and strip club Red Diamond. Maho- We, Sublime, Mykonos and strip club Platinum Room. While Carolinas, Defiance, El Capitan are reportedly having some new girls recently I've been told the free lance options in the Simpson Bay and Maho area are very good.

FunTime, I won't be there until Dec 13th, how long are you planning on staying? Would like to get together with you and our mutual friends again!

Hi, you should prob go Simpson Bay, there is a club between Toppers beach bar and Market garden, upstairs, thibk it's called Lotus. Ladies night on Wednesday.

You got Soggy dollar, also Simpson Bay, further down towards the airport, opposite Pizza Company. I think maho had nightclub too but can't remember if they rebuilt it post Irma.

There are few more nights clubs, late night bars I forget names of.

With regards strip club, you got Platinum in maho, most girls offer take home services plus they are the hottest girls on island but you pay the biggest rates, try get them on off day.

You also have Red diamond, in Simpson Bay. Decent girls in there that also offer out of club services for cheaper prices, my friend currently enjoying one from there at the minute..

Good day, all! I've been to El Capitan and Defiance. Coming in November with my wife, who's asking about strip clubs, and the potential to "pick up" a girl. She doesn't know of my "adventures" of the past, so I need to play dumb (it's kind of my strength).

So, first question, are any of the places couples friendly? Here in the states, some clubs are, and some definitely aren't.

Also, maybe you can help wkrh this. We always stay in SB. However, this year we are doing 2 extra nights in P'burg. Just realized, the city probably shuts down at 6:00. Any nightclubs, or places for dancing you guys know of, near downtown?

Empire club was known as defiance, from El Capitan head towards the French side up the hill, a few miles up the road it will be on your right, be like an archway over the car park. Used to be close to the old Dutch marine barracks I think.

Note that it's bit dodgy going there on a Friday / Saturday night.

I am not an expert in SXM but maybe others can chime in if I am wrong.

Best nightlife is in Simspon Bay area / Maho Beach.

My ranking for staying in Maho Beach Area 1) Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa 2) Royal Islander Club La Plage (budget friendly).

My ranking for staying in Simspon Bay Area 1) Simpson Bay Resort & Marina 2) Royal Palm Beach Resort (budget friendly) 3) La Vista resort (more budget friendly).

My ranking for stating in Philipsburg Area 1) Divi Little Bay Beach Resort.

My ranking for staying in Oyster Pond Area 1) Coral Beach Club 2) Oyster Bay Beach Resort 3) Dawn Beach Resort & Spa.

For Party Maho / Simpson area, for more laid back Oyster Pond area but is far from nightlife.

There are also a number of hotels on Front Street but no parking Divi Has great parking. A car is a must going to the clubs.

There are a number of hotels in Phillipsburg. In the past I have stayed at Divi Little Bay. You can also stay in Simpson Bay.

Thanks for the reply, yea I could be heading there Dec. 13 - 19 and I'm trying to make sure where is a good place to stay at. Is nightlife activities more prevalent in Maho / Simpson Bay than Philipsburg? I thought most of the adult clubs where in Philipsburg or is Maho is just better? Interesting about the bus stops, would I be a target for beggars or thieves?

Thanks for the advice Mel, yea I might want to do a TNL with a chick my last few nights and go out to eat and drink rather than drive all the way to the clubs in downtown Philipsburg.
