Scuba!
Was thinking the same thing about the recent posts here. First, thanks BigRiddah and P (arty) boy for the great detailed reports. Will come in handy for me in December. You guys went through hell with that storm! PBoy! Can't believe the driving from Oyster Pond to Maho that you did! And leaving the car and making it back to Captain Oliver's. Under those circumstances. You basically had to make it from the westernmost Dutch point of the island to the easternmost! Excellent job! Glad the car was still there at least when you returned!
Seems like Caroline's and Seaman's have been pretty well covered as of late. Curious as to why either of you (BigRiddah or PBoy) guys didn't meander over to Crystals. I bop between clubs and walk out and in with the same beer with no problems. If one place is slow, I stroll over to the other. This scenario is the only one in which walking between clubs is safe.
I plan on dropping by El Capitan at least once to pay homage to the site of the original Seaman's Club. I'm not a fan of the inside. Pitch dark like LE Petite and super aggressive girls right at the doorway. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to get manhandled, but be alert as to hands that may make their way into one of your pockets. I'm not saying this is the case, just be alert.
Also curious as to why (BigRiddah and Pboy) you guys didn't head for higher ground and hit the top of the hill clubs during the storm? Defiance and Casablanca can present pretty decent lineups at times. Also, Sunset Retreat is a favorite of mine. It was one of the first clubs I ever visited, back when it was known as "The Border Bar". It's definitely a local place. But I never knew about the 4-7 happy hour in the smaller bar until mentioned by a poster here. Great music and a chance to scout out the talent for later in the evening. Not sure if it's mandatory for the chicas to be there or optional, but the DJ spins some great Latin music, and buy a girl a drink and you've got yourself a dance partner!
Will check out LE Petite also, just to see the paved parking lot! LOL!

I agree that the island is relatively safe, however, the reason I occasionally share these stories is to keep everyone real and grounded, especially newer forum members visiting the island, and to remind people that sometimes paradise does have it's short comings. I get the daily news feeds of the three papers published on the island, and I could probably be averaging a report a day with stuff like this going on. Crime among the locals is one thing, but when tourists start getting targeted, that's bad publicity. Last week 2 Venezuelan businessmen were robbed in their hotel room in Philipsburg. And let's not forget about what happened to the King's from South Carolina, over in Cupecoy a year or so ago.
When one lands on SXM, it's easy to get caught up in the tropical paradise atmosphere and think you're insulated from the outside world. Let's face it, SXM is a legal tropical adult Disneyworld regarding the casas. The story regarding the Italian tourist occurred in the Beacon Hill section of the island. Probably in the parking lot shared by Bliss nightclub. Not sure if that club is open these days, but the guy was middle aged, and not a young punk looking for trouble. Google todaysxm and read about the treasure trove of goodies from the 7 am Raid at the Point Blanche prison that was recently conducted. Even the Dutch now have marines stationed at the Point Blanche commercial ship terminal to help with civil matters (storm clean-up, etc.), but they were involved in the prison sweep as well.
I enjoy freely moving around the island, at all times, and yes, all the safety tips previously written are right on point. It just sucks to see shit like this happen. And things have escalated for the worse. Where in the past you may have had your car broken into and a bag stolen if left in view. Now things appear to be turning more physical. The issue seems to be centering around illegals entering the country. So SXM needs to get it's act together to stop letting the rif raf in.
And now, we return you to regularly scheduled programming!

We don't hear too much about Defiance, Casablanca, Sunset, LE Petite Chateau or Crystal. In the past, I have had excellent TLNs with some girls from Defiance. You could pay a bigger bar fine and take the girl out at 8, but had to be back early morning. Or, you could wait until 2 am And pay a $50 bar fine, but still had to have the girl back early morning. Had to show passport to get takeout. The later was more of a favor to the girl, who was tired and wanted a nice place to sleep. Only reason I considered this was that each time it was with a girl I had sessions with previously. All the TLNs I did from Defiance the girl did not want to take any money from me. Just wanting to feel normal for the night. Last year at Casablanca, a statuesque DR woman named Kendra offered to come overnight with me for $250 and no bar fine (perhaps already included). Went back for her a couple nights later and she was already out. I also spent some time with the girls last year at Sunset. They do not have early hours, just a 4-7 casual session at the small bar, then 7 until? In the larger bar. I had a lot of fun there hanging with the girls, but it is definitely a locals hangout and you have to get a comfort level with it. The parking lot is dimly lit and across the street from the club in a barren area. As such, I only stayed an hour or so. Definitely take out on the menu at a cheaper rate. Both clubs have mostly DR women, so Spanish is very helpful. I have never had a session at LE Petite Chateau or Crystal, but have little doubt take out is on the menu. I just have never found any girl to my liking at either, although the reports on LE Petite now raise my curiosity. I was also offered take out at Bada Bing last year. I think it was $120 bar fine and $400 for the girl. I passed on that. Heard some of the Eastern Euro girls wanted $600 at Bada Bing, and closer to $1000 at Platinum Club.

Posts: 91I think I know who this might be. She's all natural but very cute. If that's her, she was there last January. She also had sister working at the same time at carolinas.

Posts: 91ClubTed, these are horrible stories but do not represent safety on island. There are worse crimes even at world's safest cities.
I suggest read forum on how to avoid trouble but mostly is common sense -- be aware of your surroundings at all times, avoid late night driving and walking in dark area, park very close to entrance of casas -- if you do not feel safe to go back to your car, ask security of casa to walk you to it, etc.

Vanessa: is petite long black hair who is slim and small natural boobs. She is very girl next door looking. Cute and sweet type. I think she mentioned she worked here last year.
I know the Vanessa from last year. She was the hottest girl at Carolina's and a genuine smoke show! I took her for a spin. She kind of of looks like Shy Love if you know your porn stars.

I am sure paths crossed many times while we we in Carolina's.
By the time I got to Carolina's on Saturday, the door was closed. I am surprised you were able to get in.

Its not like I am a spokesperson for the forum, but I accept your apology. I am not OCD, but I am obsessive / compulsive when it comes to certain things like cleaning up after cooking or gaining knowledge for free through a forum (cars or cooking or culture) so I really really take the RTFF idea to heart. I don't expect anyone to be a nutjob like me, but before I arrived on the island the first time, I read 75% of all the posts in this entire thread (so 3000 in 2012). Then I finished reading the rest (843) during that first vacation.
In this thread I have found random people helping each other out, a bunch of crazy & almost unbelievable stories (but then verified by others as true), super friendly personalities, great discussions on the culture of the chicas / casas / SXM island, plus tons of tips & info shared. Simply incredible, so I try to give back as much as I take.

I have taken chicas out from every club for TLN or TLD except Sunset retreat. The only reason I have not been out with chicas there as the parking security sets off my radar and I have never been there at night.
The only club that is difficult for take out is Casa Blanca-you need to speak good Spanish to even try.

Heading down next month and not digging some of the stories making headlines. Weather (heavy rain) is one thing. But this stuff really sucks. Doesn't matter if it's midnight or 12 noon these days.
Female casino robbers shoot security guard.
Posted: 11/18/14 12:09 AM.
St. Maarten Three armed robbers dressed as women shot a security guard in his leg at the Atlantis Casino in Cupecoy yesterday around noon. The robbers entered the casino and went straight to the cashier, threatening this employee with a gun and demanding money.
The security guard confronted the robbers and was shot in his one of his legs. The robbers did not manage to get any cash and they fled the casino, possibly in a small car, after they shot the guard. Paramedics treated the shooting victim on the scene. Later an ambulance took him to the St. Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
And even more disturbing.

Posts: 8The level of information and detail on this board is incredible. Thanks guys. Maybe it's the legality on St. Maarten but it's amazing to read the posts and compare to circumspect Atlanta thread. I'm in town finally on Thursday and hoping to grab a thin young natural cutie for a TLN or maybe right before siesta if she's game. Any final advice, interest in meeting up or recommendations on cuddly flat tummy girls?
As for my original snap for being told to RTFF, I apologize. There really is tremendous information here.
