Regarding HIV tests, I understand that there is relatively new oral based test that provides a result in about 20 minutes. In the USA, this test can only be administered at a health facility. Perhaps some other countries permit this test to be purchased for use at home.

The ladies at Carolinas said they have a mandatory STD sceening (blood test and pelvic exam) every week. The proper use of condoms, coupled with the sex workers' regular testing makes me feel that the odds of contracting a STD are very low in SXM.

PCR tests are far superior to other tests because they can detect HIV much earlier than the standard test which is key if the person was just recently infected. I went to Seamen's Club a few years ago. Ran across an absolutely beautiful chica. I don't remember her name. In her room, as we were 'doing the deed', the condom broke. Guys, be careful with the STD's. Don't let their beauty make you do things that put you at risk. These girls are certainly beautiful, but beautiful doesn't mean clean.

While we are on the subject of STDs does anyone know of a doctor in SXM who can do std tests? I would perfer HIV PCR DNA. While I'm down in SXM filming I would like to bring each chica to get tested and inspected visually even if we wont get the results until after we shoot.

Yes, there is a risk for many STDs. HIV -> get AIDS, and die. Hepatitis C -> get cirrhosis, and die. Herpes -> get busted by the wife when you have an outbreak, she kills you, you die. Also, you give the wife Herpes, and then if she wants to have kids, can pass to the kids and cause all sorts of problems at birth, kid can die.

The bad thing is that the STDs you really have to worry about, we don't have a cure for. (and that's why you have to worry about them!) Taking prophylactic antibiotics *will not* help you in any of the above cases (they are viruses, antibiotics are against bacteria.)

You run greater risks with bareback sex, less with DATY, and even less with DFK (a lot of people maintain that DFK is extremely safe, but why take the chance? It is your life, afterall.)

And for those of you that like to lick the "culo", just be careful. So many parasites, viruses, and bacteria are spread through this way, called "fecal-oral." That's just a world of trouble waiting to happen. Just be careful with whatever you do!

I think perhaps the "danger zone" Routard is speaking of is emotional rather than physical. It can be easy to fall for a chica. It can be also easy to fantasize about breaking up with a wife to hunt the perfect chica and live happily ever after.

But that rarely works out and can sometimes cost you a broken heart or an empty bank account. (or both).

Good question Mel. There is the question of the level of risk for HIV. But there is also the risk of other STDs. I know. I know. There is nothing better than BB anything. Can you remember your last BB encounter? DATY is also dangerous for the same reason.
