I just got back from my first visit to St. Maraterns. I thought I would just post my observations. First I think St. Maartens maybe one of the hidden jewels for our hobby.

Let me start by saying that I do not think going on a cruise, is the best way to enjoy St. Maartens, you just seem rushed and not able to really enjoy the fruits of SM. If you do go via a cruise do not walk, it just is not worth it. If you get a cab make sure you strike a deal before getting in the cab. I find this is good practice anytime you are in a diffrent country. I paid $6.00 to goto Seamans, and $5.00 to go back to the cruise dock from Carolines. I did walk from Seamans to Carolines, even though there were cabs waiting.

Both Seamans and Carolines open at 11:00 AM. If you go to Seamans goto the back of the bar, and sit buy the back door. This way you are the first to see the girls come and can catch their eye as they come in the door. They have a dressing room off to the left of the stage. By 11:30 there were about 6 guys and 6 to 7 girls, not too bad of selection. I ended up hooking up with a young lady from Venzula, and paid $50.00 for FS. She was nice and very pleasant. One of the reasons I like to go early to anywhere was she had just showered before coming on the floor and seemed to be clean and fresh. I asked her about a all day date, she seem very excited about this $200.00 plus $50.00 for the bar. However because I was on the cruise was unable to take part. The negative of Seamans, was you did seem rush, right on the door was a sign limiting you to 20 minutes and good luck. After I was done I ask used her shower, she said I had to be quite and then locked the door, but allowed me to shower. All and All worth the 50 + 6 for the cab ride. After that I walked to Carolines, I got there about 12:15 there were maybe 12 ladies and maybe 6 guys. I got a beer here and just watch, I believe the beer was $3.50 not too bad. The selection of ladies was much better quality and the place seemed a little nicer. I finally picked a young lady, she said it was $60.00. So we went back to her room which was a little nicer than Seamans. She also indicated that take out was available but did not seem excited about it nor did she tell me how much. Over all Carolines has nicer girls, the place seem cleaner, but the service was not as personal just mechanica,. Might have picked the wrong girl. By 1:15 the place was backed with guys so I do recommend getting there early. There were cabs right out the door waiting to take you back to town.

All in All worth another visit when I have more time to enjoy the island, but would not recommend going on a cruise with just the intent of visitins SM. Forget the cruise fly down and get a hotel and enjoy the island.

I think I'd like to add something :
DFK is for me what's really make the difference. I cannot consider that a GFE can be done without DFK.
I have asked in SXM every girl about it : not a single one had committed to DFK, most of them making some disgusting mimic. I tend to be like Zing23. At least because I have been promised so many times this and that and did not get the expected service that I finally felt useless to ask beforehand. The good thing with SXM and Curacao is that the prices are so cheap that you can try many girls and figure out who's the best.
Furthermore there are also both a chemestry that can start in the room and a "repeat" factor. With a regreted chica in SXM, first session was good but not fantastic, second better, during the third something special really happened. Actually I am still in contact with her, after practically falling in love with a couple of other ones during my 3 years stay in the Carribbean.
Of course, if you are there for a couple of days, who do not want to spoil your few session so negociating is mandatory : my advice : negociate and pay the regular price and promise a tip if you really get what you want or more so that the girl will have an incentive.

If you read all the threads on this web site, the universal advice is to make your requirements clear before you go to the room.

However, I don't do that - I just let them know that I expect a GFE session. In the room, if she reaches for the condon before the BJ, I ask her "mi amor, possible chupa sin condon, por favor". If she still puts on the condon, I still enjoy the rest of the session, but I do not repeat. If you are a regular visitor, I think this is a reasonable strategy. I agree with Zing that Carolinas has better looking girls than Seamans. However, I feel safer at Seamans than Carolinas. To me, the only time I feel "unsafe" is when I am parking and walking in. Carolinas feels like its more in the ghetto, and there is a house/club across the street with lots of locals in it that makes me feel uneasy when I walk by it. But, there is usually a security guard outside of Carolinas. At Seamans, the parking is surrounded by gating, and there usually isn't too many people out in the lot, and usually there is a security guard.

Most comfortable seating, safety, atmosphere: Carolina, then Seamans. Cocktails: don't know as I never order them, but both have fully stocked bars. Girl quality is usually the same: Carolina first, then Seamans. The major hindrance to atmosphere in both places is that the music can be loud and if you don't like reggaeton/hiphop, it can get irritating.

Casa Blanca has only stools, nowhere comfortable to sit.

Defiance has padded benches and stools and the music is usually not too loud in the afternoon - this can be quite relaxing. however, the rooms are more basic than at carolina. at night, this place is like a noisy strip club.

I was there on wed after the murder on the weekend. I went to Seamans and Carolina, not to Petit Chateau. There did not seem to be any new restrictions or security at Seamans or Carolina, but the girls at Seamans at least thought that security could be better. They would like a panic button in the room! And the murder caused them to bring up other problems they have had, mostly thefts from the room and purse snatching. I saw no sign that girls were leaving those 2 clubs to go home, but one told me that she always thought Colombia was more dangerous than St Maarten, but had now changed her mind.

I have not heard anything about suspects/progress, etc., but I don't actually
