I have been following your adventures and excellent reporting. Including your great summaries like this one. It is surprising that you have only been in the hobby for a year. After my first 6 months mongering I listed the things that surprised me the most (you might want to read that report before you read this one). Now it has been a year since I started in St Maarten. I decided to commemorate the anniversary by revealing the 10 funniest things that have happened to me.

Where are the Salma Hayeks?

1. On my first visit to Seamans Club, I expected to see 20 girls that looked like Eva Longoria, Salma Hayak and Jennifer Lopez. I didn't see a single girl that looked like that. I have not seen Diana and Lina in a week - perhaps they have gone back to Colombia even though they had planned to stay until December. Mel and I talk some more in English, while Estefania tries to distract me by cuddling up and stroking me. I am trying to let some time pass after my hour with Lucero, but my willpower is slipping away.

At last I pull out $3 for the bar fine, say good bye to Mel and head off with Estefania. On the way into the hotel I see Beatriz and Luna and say hello and turn around and try to signal Mel that he must get to know these two! About 45 minutes later I return to the bar and resume talking to Mel. He says I look totally relaxed now, which is true because I had a good time with Estefania.

I suggest we go to Defiance (dee-fi-yah in spanish) for a sandwich and a look around. Mel doesn't know exactly where that is so I give him directions (top of the hill on the way to Casa Blanca, go through the huge gateway on the right) and he follows me. We order a chicken sandwich and an beefsteak sandwich from the snack bar and walk into the bar. Almost no guys, but about 10 or 12 girls. "Dominicanas" he says, and I correct him "Dominicanas and Colombianas". I say hello to those I recognize and one tells me that my regular, Alexandra from Cartagena is still here, in room 211. So I got back to her room and knock on the door. She looks as good as ever and is ready to leave her room. She asks me what time it is and is surprised to learn that it is already after 3pm. Back in the bar I introduce her to Mel and he is collecting names and phone numbers from other girls. Then we head back across the parking lot for our lunch.

Sandwiches are good, Mel talks to me in English and talks to Alexandra in Spanish and admires her rack. She has a shrimp curry with vegetables - very tasty and healthy too. Mel gets Alexandra's room and cell number. I tell her I am sorry that I don't have time to visit her room today, but perhaps next time. She tells Mel about the time that I came to the Happy Hour party with 3 girls on my arms (see previous report). Mel picks up the tab for lunch and drinks for all of us - $26. Thanks!

At 10 minutes to 4pm, I say goodbye to Mel and make tentative plans to meet again on Wed or Thu. He says he has plenty of names now to keep him busy for the week. I head off to Casa Blanca for my 4pm appointment with little Nancy in room 1 (it was the perfect ending to the day-highly recommended).

So far Saint Martin, compared to Montreal, is
1) GFE is harder to come by and general level of service is lower. I suspect speaking more Spanich might change the situation.
2) BBFS seems more available
3) Chicas are cheaper by average of about %70. In Montreal, I can dream about TLN, here I can actually afford it.
4) I got DFK from all the chicas except Sandra of Seamen, so it's not as rare as reported to be.
5) Lodging and transportation costs more, for me. If you live in Miami or have time share here, situation would be different.

Finally I sat down to order a drink, then the one who was pursueing me introduced herself : Tatiana. ... Unlike other places, $10 for the house for exactly 20 minutes. One more minute, it's another $10. Maybe things are a bit more relaxed during the daytime... The way partrona, or whoever it is behind the cashier, deals with chicas, I dont like. But Tatiana gives me one of the best service I ever received.

Thanks for the reports. During the daytime, from about 1230pm on, Defiance is a different place from the evening. No accountant to collect $10 or keep track. And since each girl has her own room with no roommate, you can stay as long as she likes. However, a lot of the girls are not in the bar during this time, so you need to get phone numbers or at least room numbers (ask the girl if you can knock on her door, and at what time she gets up). And I think the girls can leave the property to go to the beach, shopping, etc. without a bar fine in the afternoon also.

You were wise not to give the name of the girl who gave you BBFS. The one hard and fast rule of the brothel owners is no BBFS, so if they read this forum or someone who did read it were to tell them about it, the girl would be kicked out and sent home immediately. Offers of BBFS are very rare in St Maarten, thought not unknown.

Excellent reporting Hardtocum. Sorry for day 1, but day 2 made it up again. Mind you, BBFS is not the norm in Saint Maarten, not even BBBJ. Chicas might do it only with some regulars they trust. What happened to you is quiete clear for me. The chica simply just didn't consider you anymore as a customer, that's why she didn't want also the money and prefered a gift. Keep in mind that she was new in the business and far from home without family and boyfriend. She seems to be a real gem, I appreciate you didn't give her name.

However, BBFS especially with thirdworld chicas is way too dangerous. AIDS and STD is one issue, but pregnancy is much more likely to occur. Hard to blame the girl to try to get out of her shit. Just imagine if she comes back a few month later with it, are you really going to turn your back and forget you have somewhere in the world your own child struggling with an unfair life?

Day 2:

At the end, she did not even get her $300: instead she wanted my i-pod knock-off(little less than $200). I gave her what she wanted but had to justify to myself that the music contained in the player was worth something to her. I will withhold the name of chica until, of if ever, I read some report of her 'hardening up'. I know what her priorities are but that does not mean girls like this will not get abused.

Did you give her a little more than the knock off? Sounds like she would have been worth a little propina.
