Just a quick note that Herpes is due to a virus (HSV-1/2 [primarily 2]) and antibiotics have no effect on viruses. At one time I found an article written by a Doctor on Curacao whose specialty was communicable disease and performed the weekly exams at Campo. In his 8 or so years of doing this he found that the cases of any STDs were next to zero at Campo, but otherwise quite high in Curacao's general population.

Unlike streetwalkers or escorts in the USA, brothel workers in St Maarten get checked every week for STD. And if they test positive, they cannot work.

They may be less risky than the new girlfriend that you met in a bar last week.
