So Casa Blanca and Defiance (and perhaps Petit Chateau, and Sunset Retreat, which has the least secure parking lot) are among the few late night/early morning places for bad guys to congregate.

Daytime - no sign of any danger.

Nighttime - use big city precautions. You are probably slightly safer in a taxi than alone in your own car late at night, I would guess, since we have not had crimes by taxi drivers in St Maarten yet (as in South America).
