Did a tour of brothels so i could report to you guys. no cruise ships. not many tourists. quiet time for the girls. not making enough to even pay the house fees. i feel like the chamber commerce.

I think that it is now the end of the busy tourist season (Nov-Apr). Few cruise ships and fewer visitors at the hotels and resorts. Most of the girls that arrived from Columbia in Feb are now gone...I will keep an eye on the quantity and quality of summer chicas and report here what I discover.

Although the tourist activity in St Maarten has decreased drastically (several days during the week with no cruise ships, especially Sat and Sun), there still seem to be a lot of Columbian and Dominican chicas in St Maarten. The beauty is down a bit in my opinion. The girls at Seamans and Carolina don't start very promptly at 11am when there are no cruise ships in port.

At Carolina, Viviana and Karen and Valentina (see previous reports) are all gone. Yesterday there were only 2 girls that I remembered seeing at all in the past. All girls from Columbia. Step 1:"Who?"

It would be a good idea (although a little time consuming) to tour each club individually to draft the right girl(s). Doing this between 10A-12P is safe, but may not guarantee that she's working that evening. We started at 8:00PM.
Select a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft pick. Getting all 4 girls from the same club simplified the process, but we could have likely done 2 and 2.

Step 2: "What?"

Make your intentions perfectly clear. A TLN for one guy is self-explanatory. TLNs for multiple girls would lead to the assumption that each guy has a different room. TLNs for multiple girls in a 2/3/4 bedroom suite is still a safe assumption. But TLNs that swap rooms every 1 1/2 hours in 2 adjoining 2-bedroom suites is tricky. We made our intentions relatively clear at the club, and they likely thought we were kidding. We grabbed a bottle of KettleOne and some Cranberry Juice on the way to the Suite, and had at least 2 drinks in each of them before we got to the (secluded, quiet) suite. We listened to some Reggaeton, talked, laughed and got drinks #3, 4 in them and jokingly offered a $30 propina (tip) for each additional room visited. When I pulled out the wallet, and dropped 3 bills on each of them, they pretty much figured out that we were NOT kidding. For those keeping track: $200 each + 3 swaps at $30 each = $290 each. (plus a $10 bonus)

Step 3: "When?"

A nooner until 9:00AM the next day will cost alot, and may be ideally suited for lonely, lonely single guys who have never spent a day lugging a girl around. Add Lunch, Dinner and gifts to the tab my friends $$$.

Early evening 8:00PM until 9:00AM the next day would run from the $250s up.
This option might be good for Day 1 of a multiple day visit to knock the rust off.
Late Evening 2:00AM until 9:00AM did the trick for us. We drank like fish and went on a recruiting spree all night long.

This option is good to negotiate the lowest possible cost. They pretty much already made their money for the night, this is a BONUS.

Step 4: "Where?"

Most hotels frown on bringing "new friends" into the hotel. 4 and 5 star hotels do not want other guests seeing a bunch a guys lugging in their newly acquired acquaintanaces into the facility. Some prohibit it completely, some make you pay more for the new guests, and others don't care. I did the research and chose 2 adjoining 2 bedroom suites at MBBPH. I used the acronym on purpose, but most of you will figure it out quick. Do the research.

We dropped them off at around 9:30AM, went straight back to the suite and crashed until almost 6PM, we only hit the Casinos that night. I'm still a little dehydrated and my back hurts alot, I honestly think I have a herneated disk. Tylenol helps, but alcohol works better.

so would you say it is safer for a black tourist to get around without having problems. I am black, and I did not feel in danger at all when I was on the island. i have also traveled many places, and never had a problem anywhere. But you do have to be cautious everywhere that you go.

I just got back,... I also talk about the amazing "Todo La Noches".

Thanks for the report - of course we still await the TLN report.

I noticed yesterday that there were no cruise ships in the Phillipsburg harbor,
and only one cruise ship on several recent days. In April there were many days with 3 or 4 cruise ships and the brothels were packed during the day time.

I think that it is now the end of the busy tourist season (Nov-Apr). Few cruise ships and fewer visitors at the hotels and resorts.

Most of the girls that arrived from Columbia in Feb are now gone (they are on 3 month visas) and I wonder about their replacement. I would expect the brothels to cut back on the number of girls they import during the off season, as they won't have as many tourist and cruise ship crew as customers. But when I started visiting the brothels last september (the most dead month for visitors, due to it being the peak of hurricane season) there seemed like a lot of girls at the clubs, most not very busy.

Thanks a lot Rack Addict for your report, can't wait for your TLN report too. Sorry to hear you also you had some bad experience. However I think it was most unlikely that those guys were planning to attack a group of four men, epecially if you tell me that you were a former marine. And at least not inside the brothel. There are easier targets. The guys could have been pickpockets however.

Security issues in brothels and in Sint Maarten have allready been discussed before. Security feeling are very personal feeling, so everybody will experience it in a different way, as everybody will compare it to his own situation at home.

However the chica gave the exact answer. Inside the brothels it's 100% safe day and night. I know more or less some of the owners of these brothels, and believe me, they will let nobody from Sint Maarten mess up their business.

The parking lots of Seamens and Defiance are secluded and safe day and night. Carolina is a very discrete brothel as well as the parking lot, day and night. The parking lots from Petit Chateau and especially Sunset Retreat on the other side of the road are not secured, no problem by day, but things may happen by night (like the chica said). I have mixed feelings about the Casa Blanca parking lot by night, but no problem by day of course.

For the rest of Sint Maarten, I will put apart the internal crime and especially the one involving drugdealing. Sint Maarten is safe for tourists. I stick to my opinion. Crime against tourism is seldom, and the few times it happen, you will hear from it in the local news. It's nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands of tourists that visit each year Sint Maarten without any problem.

I have always lived everywhere around the world and being part of a white minority. But I can understand that some people coming from the US feel unconfortable when they are in a black neighbourhood. I realized this when somebody mentioned about bad guys haging around the parking lot in Seamen's. In fact those guys are there every night. They indeed have a "Bronx" look, but they are just the taxi drivers waiting for customers. Also inside the brothels there are lots of locals, especially by night. But believe me, they are more interested in the chicas then about you. I have never experienced any agressive attitude from a local in a brothel. Have a relaxed attitude, say hello when entering, make a small joke with one of them, and he will most probably offer you a beer. Relax, you are in the Caribbean!

Of course like everywhere in the world, usual precautions need to be taken. I have never had any problem even in some of the most dangerous countries in the world. I have been robbed only once, it was in one of the safest coutry in the world, simply because I forgot my usual precautions.

And if security is a major concern, try all the brothels by day. By night, stick to the safest only, Seamens and Carolina.
