Excellent report Scubatoo.
Can you give any recommendation for car rental company in the island?
I'll visit SXM next month, normally I use Trifty / Dollar.
Thank you for your report and help.

I never want to leave the island, but reality sets in that you have to get back to regular day-to-day life while looking forward to returning. These are the surprises for me this year.
1. All the chicas I met were Colombian. Expected at Carolina's, but a surprise at El Capitan and Empire. As usual, an assortment of skin colors and body builts, and their incredibly abilities in the room and awesome demeanors.
2. Lack of cruise ship patrons. As the number of ships in port pick up as high season rolls in, a single large cruise ship in the past was good for filling Carolina's and El Capitan. Why not this year? I do not know. Will be curious to hear how things develop over the winter months.
3. Everything I needed was available on the Dutch side. Enough places to stay, plenty of restaurants to eat, beaches were clean, rental cars were plentiful and cheap, airline was regular and arrival and departure smooth, casinos operating, day excursions operating. Prices were very reasonable for everything, as they had been in the past. I thought some of this would not be the case, so it was mongering as usual for me. The French side is a total disaster for almost everything. But the clean beaches are still there, and there are a handful of good places to eat in Marigot and Grand Case to satisfy anyone. Given no clubs on the French side, for me it is just an area to pass some time between club sessions.
So anyone thinking of coming, or not, to St. Maarten, I can tell you that you can have a great time even while the island continues to recover from the hurricane.

The massive Allure of the Seas was in on Wednesday. With capacity of almost 7000 passengers, plus crew, again assumed the clubs would be packed. But they were not. Hit Carolina's first around 1:30 pm Only a hand full of chicas and about 15 patrons scattered around the room, none of them looking like crew members and only a couple like tourists. Left immediately. Over to El Capitan. Loaded with at least 15-20 chicas, but only five local guys. Went to the bar to grab a beer and immediately surrounded by half dozen Colombian girls. After a bit of conversation, I scoured the room and saw Yoanna sitting alone at a far table. I excused myself to go say Hello, as I had not seen her here since last Sunday night. I was drawn to her again this day, and went back for a wonderful hour with her. BTW, the room rates here are now $5 for 20 minutes daytime, and $10 for 20 minutes in the evening. No "enforcer" in the hallway this day, but door bangers at night. At night, if you think you will be longer than 20 min, pay the extra session fee up front to avoid rude interruption by the door banger.
Later on Wednesday night, I went back to El Capitan for another session with Yoanna. Yes, she was my favorite this trip. Another great session in the room. Said my goodbye, and left. The club was hopping. Lots of girls and patrons. I did not meet a single girl at EC from the DR, a big change from the past. And many attractive girls in the house.
Was going back to my hotel, but turned around and decided to head up to Empire again to see if it was less than a zoo that I encountered Sunday night. Arrived at a partially filled parking lot. Able to park at the door. No loiterers on the parking lot. No cover fee this night. Bar was loaded with chicas, but almost all locals. Spotted a couple of chicas alone at the bar that were attractive and immediately went to them, introduced myself, and bought them drinks. $4 was a small price to pay for two drinks. Adrianna, a very light skinned Colombian with meat on her bones soon had my hand feeling her ass, and then turned to me to have me caress her rock hard nipples on her ample breasts while she clamped the rod. Decent looks, nice breasts, firm booty, silky smooth pussy, bronze-blonde long hair. Wonderfully pleasant demeanor. In the room, ate her nice pussy before a long 69/ BJ and CG ride. Very affectionate as are most of the Colombian girls. All of the girls at Empire appear to be Colombian. This is a big change from past Defiance years, when most were from the DR. Quality was very good.
Another great day of mongering.

Posts: 345Tuesday with One Cruise Ship in Port
No cruisers first two days here, so I was curious how the clubs would be this afternoon given that the MSC Seaside was in port with a capacity of over 5000 passengers and as big as a small city. Went to Carolinas around 1:00 pm Expecting the club to be loaded with passenger / crew man excursion and lots of girls. It was not. Probably 15 patrons in the club and a dozen girls. A few were occupied at the bar, but nine sitting around the perimeter firmly engrossed in their cell phones while patrons sat waiting for one to approach. I'm sorry for repeating this, but these girls just don't get it. All the more reason that you have to be the aggressor to engage with the girls. I grabbed a drink and turned around to find Catalina coming out of the back, and she came over immediately when I smiled at her. My kind of girl. Catalina is a medium colored chica from Cali, with very curvy figure, nice fully enhanced breasts, but no silicone in the booty. Just natural and very nice. Limited English, but good enough with my limited Spanish. Pleasant demeanor and very cute with GFE qualities. Back to her room with an extended DATY that worked its way to two Big-Os. She started me with a CBJ, then a good CG ride, then off for BBBJ. She was non-demanding. At the end of our session, that was almost an hour, I gave her $100. She was reaching to give me $50 back, but I had her keep it as the session was clearly extended and she worked very hard to give me a great time.
When I returned to the bar area, several additional girls were on the floor, but not mingling. Very attractive and will go back tomorrow afternoon to see if they are back on the floor. Overall, my rating for this group today was a 7.
Stopped over at El Capitan after this. To my surprise, the club was empty- no patrons and no girls. Chatted briefly with the bartender and then two aggressive girls came out. All over me wanting to do a threesome. Had they been lookers, I just may have done it. But I was not particularly attracted to these two. In the past, this club has been mobbed on cruise ship day afternoons. Did not look elsewhere since I had my good session at Carolinas and would be heading out again in the evening.
Allure of the Seas will be in port tomorrow. Passenger capacity of almost 7000. So we will see what happens during the afternoon sessions. If lucky, there will be more chicas than patrons.
Tuesday evening I headed out around midnight. Hit Carolinas first, and it was dead. A handful of patrons and a handful of girls, again sitting around. Left immediately for El Capitan, which was fairly busy, 12-15 girls and more than that patrons. But these guys just don't seek to approach these girls. I grabbed a bar seat and motioned Camilla to come over. She is a dark skinned Colombian from Cali, nice natural booty and boobs. No English. A bit older with a pleasant demeanor. She immediately gave me a Colombian handshake with the rod, as I felt up her nice booty. Not a great looker, but good enough for the room. In the room, a spirited CBJ, but I hate condoms. Then into RCG, doggie and mish. Another very tight pussy. Overall, an ok session. When I came out, several other girls were on the floor. And they were very attractive. Too late to stay and mingle, so I will hit this again tomorrow night. Before going into El Capitan, I took a quick ride up to Empire to see if the craziness from Sunday night was the norm. It was not. A mostly empty parking lot. No loiterers. I did not go in, although I may check it out early tomorrow night.
Right now, my favorite collection of chicas is at El Capitan. Mostly Colombian. I will go back there Wednesday night. Carolinas is running second with its group of Colombians, and I will hit it for the afternoon session.

The Pelican had three buildings blown over by Irma, were condemned and torn down. The Villas, F building and Marina buildings are open. The other buildings are coming back online by Nov / Dec. Another web site said of the approximately 10,000 rooms available pre Irma, about 56% (how they got that number is beyond me) will be available this high season. Sonesta at Great Bay has been bought by Sun Wing Canadian airline and will re-brand it as a Planet Hollywood, to open in 2020. Weston in Dawn beach hopes to have one building back next year and the rest in 2020.
People are hurting on the island because so much employment has been disrupted, lack of rooms to rent and airlines have jacked up the prices because of low demand. At least the cruise ships are back.

For those who frequent these clubs, Bada Bing is destroyed; Red Diamond (Simpson Bay) and Platinum Club (Maho) are operating. I did not frequent these places previously because of the expense. I do not know what talent is in the house, number of girls or current prices.

Posts: 345Monday Without a Cruise Ship
Went to El Capitan around 1:00 pm Knowing no cruise ship was in for the second straight day, my expectations were not high on the number of girls in the club. Maybe 7 or 8. Only a couple patrons. Approached by Jenny, a mid-20's light skin Colombian from Medellin. Small frame, nice ass, long dark hair, pleasant demeanor. Girl next door looks. In the room, classic Colombian GFE experience. CBJ, multiple positions including nice CG ride. Worth repeating this week if time permits. Overall, El Capitan up a notch to a 7 rating.
Decided to go to Sunset Retreat for its Happy Hour 4-7 pm In the upper small bar. Arrived around 6:00 pm Three girls in the room. One sitting with the boss, one doing something with the bartender, and one sitting along by the door. Asked to boss how many girls he had right now and he said 7. They go to the larger bar downstairs starting at 8 pm I have had some good times here in the past, although it is not reported on very often. I decided to leave, but said Hello, to the girl at the door and she asked me to sit and chat. I did. Cathy from Medellin. Dark skin, big tits, nice hourglass figure. After some chat, decided to take her to the room. No air conditioning in the room, just a fan, but comfortable. Munched on her big boobs on my was down to a nicely shaven pussy. Huge clit. From the doggie position she looked fabulous, and was a good fuck. Stayed for an hour. Gave her $100. On the way to Sunset, I noticed the front door of Empire was open. Do not know if any chicas out on the floor or just open for a beer stop.
After watching most of the GB-SF game, decided to head back to El Capitan around 11 pm About a dozen girls in the club, and some decent talent. Immediately went to Daniella, a dark skinned Colombian from Cali. Really nice rack and firm, rounded booty. Pretty face. Decided to take her back for a go. Started with a nice CBJ. She pushed me against the wall and knelt down to suck cock. She positioned the mirror at an angle for me to watch her. Very nice. Unfortunately, my girth is big and her pussy is very tight. Tried multiple positions but could not get my cock inside her. Nevertheless, she did a great job with PM / BJ / HJ without complaint. Turned out to be in the room for two sessions. The 90 year old guy in the hallway is the enforcer and banged on the door every 20 minutes. He will keep banging until you leave, or pony up another $10 room fee.
Stopped in to Carolinas on the way back to hotel to see what was happening there. Probably a dozen girls in the bar. Most occupied with patrons sitting around the dance stage while a few chicas danced naked. As for the other girls, no circulation and heads clearly focused only on their cell phones. Talent was ok, but not enough to raise my rating of 6 the other day. Lots of silicone injections in the butts of these Colombian girls. I think they will all regret doing that years down the road. Personally, I don't like the look. I accept the natural junk in the trunk of many of the Latina / Hispanic girls.
Overall, a pretty good day. Right now, my go to is El Capitan.

Posts: 345General Conditions of the Island
For those wondering what the state of conditions are on the island at this time, let me give you some insight. I looped the entire island on Sunday morning. On the Dutch side, Philipsburg is looking ok. Lots of storefronts are back in operation. Sonesta Great Bay has been torn down from the casino to the town side. The newer far end is still standing. Very little activity on site. Little Divi, Belair and Holland House are operating. Cruise ship docks are all rebuilt and everything looks normal. Cruise ship schedule shows a busy late fall docking schedule.
Simpson Bay is looking pretty good. Lots of restaurants are open. Storm damage is noticeable, but lots of repairs have been made. Bada Bing is destroyed. Red Diamond Cabaret is open. Atrium and Simpson Bay Resort are operating. Royal Palm is gutted with no activity. Flamingo is a wreck and Pelican has been demolished. At the airport, the entire building is not being used for any public purpose. Roof appears to be new. When you arrive, de-plane on tarmac and bussed to a temporary immigration center. Luggage is off-loaded to a room. Exit directly to outdoors on right side of building. No canopy of any type, so got drenched Saturday waiting for rental car shuttle when I came out. I am told that departures are in a tent away from the building.
Maho is a train wreck. All the shops on the bay side of the main road are unoccupied and in varying states of repair. Cherie's is not operating, nor is the casino. On the ocean side, Sonesta was torn down and new high rise being erected. Only steel framing is up. Royal Islander, rumored to reopen shortly, still appears to be weeks if not months away from that. Sunset Beach bar is open.
Cupecoy is dead. The monstrosity of retail, I. E. The mall, is shut down. Damage to the high rise condos still apparent.
French side to Marigot. Almost all of the hotels / resorts on the beachfront are shut down with little or no activity ongoing. Ghost town atmosphere. Almost no signs of construction materials or construction equipment or personnel.
Marigot is a mixed bag. Market area is functioning, but many of the restaurants that got flooded out have done nothing to re-establish. Some have cleaned the lot, but nothing more. I will head into the center of town today and check out the marina to see if any of the restaurants have opened.
Friars Bay looks good. Both beach bar / restaurants are operating again. For me, this is a little gem of a place to take a chica out for the day. From there, you can walk a path up to Happy Bay Beach which is often deserted, and is clothing optional. In the past, the bar on the far end would offer free chaises and umbrella if you bought lunch. The food was very decent, and prices were reasonable for food and drink. Good service and friendly staff.
Grand Case. Pretty much a train wreck. Some of the good restaurants on the inside of the main street have re-opened. But almost all of the beachfront restaurants remain in shambles. Little sign of any construction activity. The commercial businesses on the main road outside of town are operating. And my understanding is that the airport on the French side is operating.
Orient Beach: It is truly amazing to stand on this beach and look both ways and see virtually nothing but beach. Gives you an idea of what it originally looked like. The clothing optional far end had a lot of beach umbrellas up. Given my observations in years past of women who should be naked are not, and those that should not be naked are, I chose not to explore that any further. The Bikini Bar is operating, but nothing else is rebuilt. One building on the beach is under early reconstruction, but nothing else. The housing units there are a mixed bag. Some are occupied. The vast majority are not. Very little noticeable major repair being undertaken. The small cluster of shops has a number of stores / restaurants open.
Oyster Pond / Dawn Beach: Some units at Oyster Pond appear to be occupied. I think Captain Olivers is gone. The marina is in shambles. The Westin at Dawn Beach is completely abandoned and nothing appears to be underway to restore it.
French Side impression is that it will be years before it is back on its feet. Reconstruction of rental units / hotels is almost non-existent. My guess is that less than 10% of former units are back on line. A smattering of restaurants are open. Beaches have been cleaned and nature has replenished them, but virtually no services available at them.
Dutch Side impression is that things are working their way back, but it is a very slow process. Simpson Bay is clearly the place to stay if you come down now. I think it will be a few years before all the units are back on line, but probably 40-50% are available now.
Overall I am surprised at the lack of construction activity at the hotel / resort sites, and the limited signs of construction material and equipment dispersed around the island. I can understand why businesses are hesitant to rebuild or reopen until the rooms / condos are again available. From a monger's perspective, it still has everything I need. A decent place to stay in Simpson Bay, an assortment of restaurants to choose from, most all of the clubs open and stocked (thanks to a return of the cruise ship schedule), and beaches that are as beautiful as ever. Rental cars are relatively inexpensive, and plentiful. So, for me, it is pretty much business as usual. I am happy to be back. I am just sad for the local people who have to endure years of continued rebuilding and lack of economic opportunity. And as I reported previously, I am seeing a decline of respect for the tourists by the younger male population.
Set reasonable expectations coming here now and you will avoid any significant disappointments.

Posts: 345Empire (formerly Defiance) on a Sunday night
Thanks to a great NE-KC football game, I did not get out until post-midnight. Drove by El General (formerly Petite Chateau) and there were a handful of cars parked in front. When I got to Carolinas, the parking areas were packed. I did not attempt to park further back on the side street as this is where I had a late-night confrontation with a group of 10 or so local teenagers a couple years ago. So up the hill I went to Empire. I passed El Capitan, and there were a number of cars in the parking lot, but not packed. As I turned into the arch at Empire, it was clear that parking was packed and cars were jambed. I backed out and parked along the main road next to the wall and walked in. What struck me was the large number of young locals hanging in the parking lot and steps of the club. And inside, after paying a $5 cover charge, there must have been 50 young locals. There were probably 20-30 Colombian girls scattered around the club. As previously reported, this is a very large bar. And it was packed. I found my way to the bar and realized that I may have been the only tourist patron in the place. In the past, late night would find a number of solo patrons, along with small groups of guys checking it out, and a handful of older locals having a beer together. None of that existed this night. While ordering a beer, a light-skinned, blonde Colombian approached me named Paulina. Nice see / the rack, very attractive face, and some junk in the trunk. The music was so loud I literally could not here a single word she spoke. She suggested we go to her room, and I agreed. In the room, lots of DFK before DATY. Then, reversed with a CBJ, CG ride and HJ finish. She also gave a really nice massage after the finish. Ended up spending an hour with her. $120 total. She said the girls were walking patrons to their cars because some of the locals were shaking down some of the patrons earlier. As I was about to leave, several of the young locals attempted to block my exit. I had a stare-down with one of them, and he backed off. Not sure what their intent was, but it was the first time I ever felt threatened inside a club in St. Maarten. Apart from this drama, the overall quality of the girls was pretty good. A solid 6 rating, with several very attractive girls. Paulina told me that Saturday and Monday nights are more tranquil at the club.
I have been to St. Maarten at least 10 times. Everything is telling me that daytime mongering is the best way for me to go. And if I go at night for more variety, to go early in the evening. Most of these clubs get started around 8:00 or 9:00 pm After midnight is when many of the young locals show up.
By the time I left Empire it was almost 2:30 am Too late to consider going to Sunset so I will check it out another night. They do not have daytime hours, but do have a 4-7 pm Happy hour session in the small bar off the back side street before moving to the lower, larger bar for the remainder of the evening. I have found occasional gems there, including perhaps the most beautiful girl I have ever seen a couple of years ago.
Let me say that until most recent visits, I felt completely comfortable with the local guys whether they were hanging outside or sitting inside. There were no attitudes and conversation would flow easily. That has changed in a large way. Just be careful and keep your guard up if you are going to a club late night.

The chica that walked by you with long straight black hair, pretty face and great overall body with 6 pack abs could be Angie. She is very sweet and great in the sack.
Let me know if she is there. She was supposed to arrive about this time.
You will not be disappointed.

Too bad about Hypnotique. There were some stunning Colombian chicas in there in addition to Carolinas. Guess we won't have to worry about anyone not heeding advice and walking there through the tall grass path anymore! Also sad about Casablanca. That place used to stay open till around 5 am walked out of there a couple of times with daylight on the horizon. Curious about the status of Sunset Retreat. Not the most appealing from the outside, but what lies within the walls is what counts. I passed on SXM this year. Heading to Aruba tomorrow. (Monday) for the second time. Will see what talent is around San Nicolas these days. The nighttime scene is a ripoff with drinks, room fees, and night time pricing. I do my tour during the day when it's pretty dead and no time pressure. A friend of mine I met in SXM is in Aruba, working behind the Brooklyn Bar. She's expecting me. We'll see what kind of reception I get! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
