Many times I have seen chicas from the casas or EE girls from the strip clubs around on the island (on a beach, going shopping, eating at a restaurant, dancing at a night club). At this time the reports are too few and the questions too many:

- Are the freelancers there regularly?
- How many freelancers?
- Who are the freelancers? Latinas from Colombia / DR? EE girls from the strip clubs? Locals? Age? Looks?
- No shower or private rooms like at the legitimate clubs?
- Is it tolerated by the club / local authorities in the long run?
- What's the going rate? Quality of services?

My guess is that you will have a better time at the legitimate p4 p clubs.

I had posted previously #6799 in regard to Lotus and some of other other higher scale clubs (no flip flops, shorts or t-shirts allowed) where some of the still unemployed local girls are selling their ass to make ends meet. They're going where guys on a beer budget won't be. FYI, these are nightclubs not *****houses, so no rooms, showers, etc. It is pretty much ignored by the clubs and police for the moment. Still a no, but in my effort to stimulate the economy and the fact I knew them personally myself and wingman would do $200 ea. If you don't want a chica that is fucking and sucking a dozen dicks everyday this might be a good thing for a few readers here. Other than that your best bang for the buck is over to salt pond area.

As I am a dusk to dawn guy I went to Platinum Room about 7 nights in a row after sessions at Carolinas or Defiance. Everything there is as before Irma, good looking Eastern Europeans with a Pinay, DR and Colombian to round out the cast. IMO the Colombian chica is the hottest girl in club but at the moment she isn't doing take out. The others are and want to play the $1000 TLN tactic although all are willing to negotiate (no matter the end price you're paying $250 multa to the bar). It used to be called LE shore nightclub, and then jungle club or something like that. After Tantra got trashed by Irma they setup Lotus. It's above Rythem and Booze and right next to Toppers. Never went in it but a number of freelance hoes hit it on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.

I have been trying to plan a trip to SXM and / or CUR. Earlier this year, I could fly to either with one stop for about $800 without excessive layovers. I am now looking for late April or early May, and ticket prices to CUR haven't changed much, but preferred flights to SXM have almost doubled, to over $1500. Does anyone know if this is typical for low season, or perhaps related to the airport's effort to recover after the hurricane? The round trip flite between the islands is only $300, so I will probably book to CUR for 2 weeks, with a week in the middle in SXM. Mongering is part of the reason for the trip, so I will report back. I also want to get to know the islands regarding a possible 2-month stay next winter. I'm recently retired.

Unless something has changed since I was there in Nov / Dec after the hurricane, Casa Blanca and El Capitan were also open. And Petite Chateau was under construction with repairs on going and I would hope it open by now.

First and foremost rent a car! Taxi use just to and from club will exceed daily rental cost. I always use Safari / ACE rental, cost is $12 a day and I always get the insurance $19 a day, never had a problem with vandalism or break-in even when parked in some sketchy areas. In regard to sketchy areas you need to know there are many people still not working and without money on the island so crimes of opportunity are rampant, be aware of your surroundings and watch your back if you're out at night. There are anywhere from 20-30 people hanging around outside Carolinas and Crystals lately, I never saw a single person outside Defiance and felt safest there. Don't even think about walking past the pond you will get robbed or worse, in addition the smoke from the constant fire at the dump would nearly kill you. Best clubs at the moment are Carolinas, Defiance and Crystals in that order, all others are still closed or should be. Costs still remain the same $50/60 USD and $5 multa. Girls are plentiful and many will exceed your expectations..

Simpson Bay area bars Lotus, Rhythm and Booze, Soggy Dollar, Red Piano all have local girls free lancing but they think their pussy is made of gold. Carnivale is in full swing through April so check out those events too for something to do as well.

I did rent last time & would only do with full insurance. But the prospect of a drawn-out local legal issue is unappealing and going up the mountain to Casa Blanca the storm culverts were open and I saw a disabled vehicle that had dropped a tire into the culvert and was stuck. Love the reference to Ace / Safari, sounds familiar might have been what I used before.

I much prefer the relaxed atmosphere of Carolina's. If that is the one with the eat in restaurant. I like establishing a rapport and having longer term fun with the girls better than the more business-like atmosphere I saw at Casa Blanca. Also I like the idea of health checks over free lancers.

Overall I was treated extremely well and think the Dutch format very satisfying. I try to treat them well and in turn they, almost always, treat me very well.

But to each their own.

Never walk between clubs (except between Carolina's and Crystal's). It was never recommended for safety reasons. Not prior to the hurricane hit the island, and certainly not after. Not that it can't be done (the island is small), but you are playing with your luck (in particular after dark).

I have never used Uber on the island, and will let others respond to that.

If not having a car rental, my preferred choice would be taxi. If noone is around, then let the hotel or bartender call one for you. Once you have found a good driver, tip well, get his phone number, and make appointsments for pickups later in the night.

Seaman's? It's still closed as far as I know.

I've been going back and forth to Miami and SXM now for about a month.

A few days a week or so.

My favorite Colombiana who I met in Medellin is working for a few more months, and then hopefully retiring from the biz.

I'm with you, I always rent a car, and get full insurance for peace of mind.

Usually runs about $35 a day with the insurance.

Way better than taxis IMO.
