Booked a trip for early next year, excited.

I've read the last 10 pages but can you help me:

1) If I'm planning on spending most of my time at Carolina's / Crystals, do I need to rent a car? I'll be staying near Arch and AT Illidge which is 20 minutes walking. I'm not sure if it's safe to leave the club and walk home alone at night.

2) These places don't seem to have websites, how will I know what their hours are? I know there's a siesta around 4 p-8 p but not sure how I would know when to arrive for the morning shift.

3) It looks like everyone is talking about prices in USD. Is there any reason to exchange for Dutch Guilders? My plan was to spend money only on food and at Carolinas and Crystals, not sure if there's anything that I'm missing that would require currency exchange.

Glad I was able to give you some limited guidance! LOL. Been a long time traveler to SXM and every visit I rent a car, so didn't know about the local bus fares or structure. I knew the cabbies were going to soak you going from Maho to Carolinas. Guess I quoted the conservative dollar amount. Nevertheless you achieved your objective. And you got really lucky with the chica you hooked up with. Usually (especially early in the day) it's standard f / s and the add on's you got are extra. So consider yourself a lucky guy. Or Brad Pitt's brother! LOL.

I ended up taking the local bus to Phillipsburg for $2 at 10:30, then grabbed a cab for $10 from there to Carolinas.

The second I walked through the door I had a hot little Colombian girl on my arm taking my up to the bar, paid the bar fine and went back to a room with her. She was gorgeous and really enthusiastic. I got BBBJ, DATY, and anal for $60. Needless to say I didn't last long but that was fine, it was a hell of a time.

Grabbed a cab back to Phillipsburg market for $10 and hopped back on the local bus back to maho for $2. Was back by 12:45 or so.

The $24 transportation I paid was definitely worth the trip.

So if you are staying in Maho with no car, I am guessing you are either with wife and or family and have taken the hotel provided shuttle from the airport to whatever property you are staying at. Hopefully you get to read this in time. You are looking at about an hour ride to Carolinas, purely because it's a week day and the traffic that it presents. Factor in the schedule for the draw bridge opening and you can be sitting for a bit. You're looking at the same on your return. You may be able to google Simpson Bay drawbridge schedule to help with the planning but seems like you have a short window to duck out. You need to be on the road around 10 am And get back in the cab no later than 1 pm To get back to Maho by 2. Tell the wife you want to go to Philipsburg alone to buy her something and then buy something at one of the shops at Maho. But you will pay more at Maho.

And on the subject of paying. I don't know the pricing structure but since it's an hour out and an hour back. You may be looking at at least 50 bucks for the cab fare. Maybe more. I would get a legitimate guy. This way he can hang out in Philipsburg and do some work from the taxi stand in front of the courthouse, while he's waiting to pick you up at one. Make sure you get a plan in place with the driver. And don't worry about directions. Every guy knows where Carolinas is in SXM!

Plenty of cruise ships in port this week. It means most chica bars open at 10 am.

Head to Carolinas. If you are staying in Maho and taking a cab, get a jump on the traffic and the draw bridge opening and leave an hour early. Negotiate a round trip fare with the cabbie and pay him when he picks you back up and drops you off at Maho. If he drops you and leaves, you will have to rely on the guys hanging out in front of Carolinas which usually are gypsy cab drivers and you may pay dearly since they have to get you all the way out to Maho and then come back with an empty vehicle. If the bar appears empty duck into the Chinese restaurant next door and see who is up having breakfast. If cruise ships are in port the place will be jumping by 11:30 or 12 noon.

I'm in Sint Maartens this week and was hoping to visit one of the establishments tomorrow (Wednesday) but I can only go late morning / early after noon (like 11-1). Was wondering what if anything would be open during this time Fran and where you would recommend someone new to the scene to go. I don't really speak any Spanish unfortunately.

Does either Carolinas or Crystals have TV's at the bar and show sports? I'll be in town on Sunday of the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. I'm coming in on a cruise ship, and we're supposed to dock at Noon. My plan is to head over to one of these spots and catch the chicas before siesta time. It would be nice to hang out at the bar afterwards, drink a few, and watch the game. Then maybe hit up another chica for round 2. We don't leave until 8 PM.

There are TV's at both clubs. If the game is not on just ask the bartender if they would mind changing the channel. They are usually pretty accommodating.

I myself generally prefer to watch the local talent.

Went to Crystal and Carolina's Sat night around 10 pm. Crystals had several girls sitting around and about 2 girl to one guy ratio, but none caught my eye. Went across to Carolina with about a 3 guy to 1 girl ratio, which is the most guys I have ever saw there. A couple unattractive girls came up to me. I sent them away and then a very pretty girl (name Lada) came by and I took her to room for $60 (room fee was $10 for 30 minutes which was $5 more than last year when I went). She was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Carolinas still has more attractive girls.

If you don't know where these places are, google Club Crystal and it will take you there. Carolina's is right directly across the street but there is no name in the bldg. Someone can direct you if you don't know.

Quality is hit or miss, but I have always found one to my liking. Just have to sift through the weeds. Also I always make a quick decision and go on my way.

I am on the island for a week.

I brought a few of my friends to view the roundup. First stop was Carolinas it was a SXM holiday the club was jammed. I guess the really hot chicas were out TLN.

There were some very cute chicas but one chica quoted 200 for BBBJ and sex with condom for 1/2 hour. Crazy!! MAny chicas must have been working hard as when they came out from the back. They went to the walls or corners and got on the phone. A few cute ones I made eye contact buy they seemed disinterested. Of course the fat ones are all over me.

Nothing floated my boat. I think in a week or two it will be high season and there will be more chicas. I estimate about 25 chicas at Carolinas.
