I understand, from airport, I have to take following route to reach Palace:

1. Flughafen Regionalbahnhof -> S8, S9 Commuter train -> Hauptwache (Towards Hanau Hauptbahnhof)

2. Hauptwache -> Frankfurt (Main) Industriehof /Neue Börse -> U6/ U7 Underground (Towards Hausen/ Frankfurt (Main) Heerstraße)

My query is:

- Going to, and finally coming back I will need two tickets? Or the 3.75 EUR ticket holds for a round trip?

- When using the ticket vending machine, if tickets costs 3.75 EUR, should I use all 4 coins of 1 EUR each?, or one 5 EUR note? Basically it comes to what this machine accepts, coins or notes, or both?

Getting on an S-bahn train at FRA without a ticket will cost a 40 Euro penalty fare if you are caught. There are no attendants on board normally. There are ticket checks on a random basis. I once spent a week in Frankfurt and was never asked to show a ticket once. Another time I was asked for it three times on a single train ride. You never know.

If you ever go back to the Palace, the U6 or U7 stop at Industriehof / Neue Boerse is only a few minutes walk from the Palace. The ticket from the airport to the Palace is the same price as the ticket from the airport to the Hbf.

Ok, here I go for my small contribution of report on The Palace.

First, I would like to thank whoever wrote about the Hotel Flemming's. Being my first visit to Palace (and Frankfurt), I had to choose a place to stay which would allow me to be close to central location for my business purposes and close the palace in order to avoid lazy reflex of avoiding the place if too late.

I got a great deal (85 Euro for a superior room). Very confortable and clean. Real 4 star Hotel (not 5 star).

But the most impressive was the location. When I got in my room, I actually opened the curtains and was facing the entrance of the Palace. I found my self stayin a few minutes in order to check some of the girls that were arriving.

Literaly "around the corner" of the Hotel.complete recommendation to anyone who wants to enjoy walking Hotel-palace-hotel.

And it also somehow neutralised one of my real negative view of the Palace, which is "not serving any alcohol" (other than overpriced champagne). To make it brief, I would give it an overall 7/10 for girls beauty.
