I am one of those that does mention View Talay 6 and for the last few years have stayed there. Sometimes up to a month or so (I live in Nongbulamphu other times).

I have used dancewatchers. Com but you also should check out.

    http://wwww.honeyscoffeehouse.com/.

She rents condos in VT 6 too. Her inventory is not quite as large as dancewatchers (they also offer in VT5) but she is much more personable than DW. Just my opinion.

If you want a full kitchen, multiple rooms, then you probably need to rent a condo: The view talay properties are popular :

[I've never used this website, it just came up first on google]. Dance watchers gets mentioned in the forums quite a bit, but I've not used them :

Many of the smaller guest houses have very reasonable monthly rates [such as 10, 000B + water / power]. It really comes down to what you mean by "nice". If your happy with a room, ok internet, and reasonably quiet, then the guest houses are fine. If you go this route, and its not the middle of high season, I'd suggest just staying for 2/3 days in a hotel, and walking around the various beach soi's and soi bukhaow and looking at whats available. Its quite hard to get a good feel for these smaller guest houses over the internet.

My wingman has just had an artificial hip put in due to an attack while serving in Afghanistan in 2009. I would like to find a decent Pattaya hotel near the beach and in the area of the action.
WHITEHOUSE CONDOTEL: Perfect central Pattaya location on Soi 13. Walk to beach is roughly 100 meters on a flat street that gets little traffic. Then baht bus to Walking Street. Walk to Second Road is about 50 meters, then baht bus to Soi 6. Soi LK Metro is best reached on foot. It's a total trip of about 300 meters. But there are motorcycle taxi guys who will run you up there in about five minutes for 50-60 baht. The Whitehouse is quiet and reasonably priced.

LK EMPRESS: On Soi Diana, within staggering distance of Soi LK Metro and the Soi Buakaow scene. Easy baht bus to Soi 6. Slightly longer trip to Walking Street and the beach. But again, motorcycle taxis are everywhere if your wingman gets tired of walking.

SEE ME SPRING & SEE ME SPRING TWO: On Soi 10, about 50 meters from the beach. Newer properties. Some rooms have an ocean view.

If being close to the beach is a priority, I'd go with the See Me hotels first, and the Whitehouse second. If you're looking to save a few baht the LK Empress is a good choice.

Your major problem is that it is very late to be booking for the upcoming holiday season. Good luck.

Anything on Beach road [or any of its soi's] will be just fine. With the Baht buses going constantly its all basically interconnected.

Highend. The Marriott / The Hilton. Both located in malls.

Mid. Most hotels on Soi 13 / Soi 7 [Like InnHouse or Eastiny]

Low. Nobel Place on Soi 13/2. [Or really any of the small guest houses you can see walking up any of the soi's]

All of the above hotels are in the middle of the action, easy access to all of the city, and have quiet rooms [for the smaller guest houses you may want to request a room not facing the street]. This forum has many details to fill out the above summary.

Need convenience info for Pattaya locations.

I will be in Pattaya for the first time Jan 3. 22. Then to Phuket Jan 22. Feb 8 and then to AC and Subic Feb 8. 26. I go to the Phils 3 times a year so that easy. Phuket is a little trickier as I have only been once. I do have an I quiry in the Phuket Hotel forum. However I do not know anything about Pattaya. I am 45 and fit. My 2 wingmen do not join me until Jan 16. I will be solo in Pattaya for a a week+. When they arrive it will change a bit as my wing has just had an artificial hip put in due to an attack while serving in Afganistan in 2009. I would like to find a decent Pattaya location near the beach and in the area of the action. From what I have researched here there is action all over. We just want hot chicks with no dicks. GFE preferred but we switch them out every few days to prevent attatchment. I would prefer a little quiet while sleeping but not a far walk. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. You can post or PM.

    Thanks,

    Diveho

I tried it again for may 15th, still coming up $65. March is lower but April's coming up $65 for the deluxe room. Try may 15th for this hotel on both booking and agota.

Don't care about the price, but my buddies are somewhat more frugal.

    Here are our choices:

    1) Miracle Suite $48 per night on Agoda, they are calling it a 4 star. It looks pretty similar in design and room quality to Lk Empress, but photos don't tell much as they could have been taken when the hotel opened.

    2) Aya Boutique Hotel is $67 per night for a nice looking modern deluxe room. Looks like the Aya is closer to Walking Street (only 1. 4 km vs. 2.6 km for Miracle Suite).

If anyone can respond about either of these hotels, or preferably if you have stayed at both we would much appreciate it.

    Thanks
I have stayed at all three hotels Lk Empress, Miracle Suite and Aya Boutique Hotel. The lk is the best IMO of the three. I know the deluxe room can get pricey when it is getting closer to high season. But I have stayed in both the Superior and deluxe rooms. There wasn't any different between the Superior (cheaper rooms) and deluxe rooms. The Superior room are also in the main building and are newer rooms.

I have stayed at Aya hotel a few time in all there room types. The rooms are small and the cheaper deluxe rooms only give you a view of an concrete wall. The hotel is nice in a good location about 200m from beach road and 5 minute to the Walking Street on foot; the WIFI is not very fast. The pool layout is odd its on the 3rd floor and does not get much sun I never seen anyone swimming there. Over all great location, the friendly staff, and no joiner fee for your 1st guess.

I only stay at Miracle Suite one time the overall service was bad the staff was kind of rude to the guess. I had a few issues with them also, while I was staying there. Most of the hotel amenities where out of service and the wifi was very poor. The rooms are large and look VERY nice. But the hotel location is quite far away from the beach road but near the walking street. The hotel is off 3rd road it is in a surrounded by a lot Middle East restaurants and shops. Its a little to far away from the action area for my taste. Also no joiner fee for your 1st guess.

Sounds like a great deal CM. The company pays for your whoring! BTW. I know receipts are not requited with per diems. So my failed attempt at humor doesn't really count as it wasn't!

    Thanks for your reply.

The BF in Pataya seems to be much highier than BKK? In BKK its normal for all bar at 600bht. How about the LT and ST rate there?

My budget per nigh range between 2000 to 3000 BHT. I have been staying at Majestic Grande in BKK with corporate rate of 2700BHT only. But this time wish to spend 2 nights in Pataya instead.

    Cheers,

I wonder like Dusit, LK or Areca or Marriot will be the best option? Are they girlfriendly? Accessible to WS?

By the way, what is the on going market prices for BF and LT or ST in Pataya. As my last visit is BKK the BF there is 600 bhat, LT range between 3500 to 4000 BHT and ST at 2000 BHT. How about in Pataya recently?
