Come to think of it I did not have much of a bone with the owner either, as she refunded me almost the entire charge after I had checked in, looked at the place and called her to say I cannot stay here.

Staying at at mind residence this trip. Great value for closeness to action and with good rooms and amenities. GF friendly and staff very helpful. Would recommend it and book direct with hotel as cheaper. There are a few at mind places and this one is in Soi 4 just back from 2nd Road.
Happy Hunting.

Posts: 2417LK The Empress: girlfriendly after all
An update on the concerns I voiced 2 weeks ago when I checked in. I've just checked out and no joiner fees have been charged. Note that I only had 1 girl at a time in my room. This hotel is well-situated about half way between walking street and Central Festival mall. It's opposite the stretch of Beach Road with the best Beach Road action.

Remember that many airbnb are simply individuals who are trying to make extra cash. If you like what you get and the price you paid, life is great. But if there is a problem, chances are it will not be taken care of in a timely manner.
There were 2 guys that I met in Pattaya who checked into Airbnb places where the A/C. Broke. They were stuck without A/C for days. Thailand is a hot country and it's hard to sleep without A/C.
Having said that, I met many others who were satisfied with their Airbnb places.
My advice is that if you are a bit picky, better to go to a well reviewed hotel. If you don't like your hotel room, or if something breaks, they will move you (unless they are sold out).

The hotel is brand new, like most hotels in Soi 10. Should be girl friendly, it would surprise me if it's not. Gets reasonably good reviews on Tripadvisor.
