They do tend to be busier as it is a holiday so I would book in advance

    Ma Maison

Trying to find first hand info, little on the net about this small hotel on soi 13.

I know it is GF, has WIFI (comp), pool. Any reviews?

    Appreciate it.

    Mercure

As nice as this hotel may be, give it a miss. First, it is pretty tucked away, so you will need to catch their shuttle or take a good 10 minute walk from 2nd road.

Secondly, the staff stopped me when I tried to bring a lady in and I got stung with a 500 baht fee.

    Green Park Resort

Stayed here for 7 nights just recently, (13 /3 - 20/3). Its located at the following address; 240/5 Moo 5 Soi Ping Pa, Pattaya City (North), Chonburi 20150.

Not a bad place, abit out of the way from all the action, but still aright. Overnight guests are not welcome, or so it says in their booklet, but I bought home a few ladies and had no troubles. Had to pay the extra charge for a guest and all it was was 100 baht!

This resort though is German owned, so 98% of the guests were naturally German. I was the only Australian. Would I stay there again, probaly not, I'd get a place a bit more central to walking St. etc. Still pretty cheap and nice facilities.

    1. Around 1, 000 baht/day

    2. In-room safe (preferred, but not a must)

    3. Shower is western-style (I. E. Not just a shower hose over the toilet and spraying everywhere)

    4. Bed is actually one piece and not two small beds pushed together

    5. Located near Soi 8 bar area (I wouldn't want to be wandering too much while [CodeWord140] drunk in a new, strange, yet incredible place! )

I've searched this forum rather thoroughly for such a hotel, but couldn't find a place that met all criteria. Flipper House seemed perfect, but then read they push 2 single beds to make a queen size. That seemed like an uncomfortably bad idea, especially since I intend to use that bed to its fullest!

Many thanks in advance for everyone's help. Also, much gratitude to Mai Yao, Gwailo and especially RetiredForever for guiding this newbie. If you guys are there in May, I'm buying you a beer!
Gren, the Queen Victoria Inn seems to meet most of your requirements. It's not on 7 or 8, but soi 6 is very near and is not a quiet soi in it's own right. I've only eaten and had drinks at this place (English pub-style and 6/10 IMO), but friends have stayed there and give it the thumbs-up.

    Crown Pattaya Beach Hotel

Can someone confirm if this hotel is GF (Girl Friendly)? Do frequent the area and would like to try an area outside of Soi 8 but don't want to end up in a non-GF hotel. That would spoil my entire holiday!

    Welcome Plaza Hotel

Has anyone stayed at this Welcome Plaza Hotel ? The location seems to be convenient and price reasonable.

i would appreciate information on how the room is and whether it is GF.

    Thanks.

I always stay at the Flipper House and they are very guest friendly. They post the security guard at the entrance at night to collect the girls I.D. but they don't charge a joiner fee.

    Tomling,

The All Seasons may fit into your description. It's not directly in your described square, but very very close to it, situated in the corner of Pattaya Klang Rd / Second Rd.

It's part of the Accor Group, not fancy but sufficient, newly renovated, clean rooms, nice enough bath. Only deluxe rooms have an in-room safe, but there are still the safes at reception available 24/7. Breakfast buffet is OK but gets old after a few days, not much variation.

Pool and sun-deck are on the 5th (?) floor. Not big but nice.

Hotel perfect for swimming-exercise et cetra

Can you help me to find a hotel in Pattaya located in the rectangualar area of Pattaya Klang road, Beach road, South road and 2:nd road that is 100 % perfect for me? I have been RTFF and looking around a little bit myself in the area, but this far no luck.

These are my preferences: Maximum about 1 500 baht per night now in March, silent surroundings, non-smoking-room, air-condition, room with the floor made of either tiles/marble/plastic material, safe deposit in the room, American breakfast buffet, girlfriendly, both hot and cold water in the room, refrigerator, and a swimming pool at least 25 meter long for my daily exercise.

    Grateful for help,

    Tom Ling
