Yes it is girl friendly so doubt that changed. Reception (later in evening just a random security dude or so) just takes ID. Don't remember them calling in the morning tho but maybe you can request them doing so.
Now price / value wise it's ridiculously bad. I travel 7/8 months a year and always think of this place when thinking of one that's overpriced by 60%. They charge double as most other places and I thought the rooms were very average at best. Imagine sleeping in some ikea room. Felt all a bit cheap and trying bit hard and just can't see why they ask so much for the rooms, except location or so. Doubt they try to target monger market and more the hipster crowd or something that think they want something fancy (I fell for it so haha). I like to mostly only stay in upscale places but this one def felt out of place considering the amount I paid and what you get. Note also that rooms facing beach road have lot of noise coming in. Doesn't seem well insulted.
So stay there if you'd like it is a nice place with lovely staff but it isn't anything really fancy if that's what you hope for.

Posts: 23Anyone recently stay at Wave?
I'm thinking of switching my reservation for LK Empress to be shorter and switching to Wave. Can't do full since it seems like some hotels are already booked the weekend I'll be there in August. Wondering if anyone has comments about it. It will cost twice as much as Empress but does look nicer all around. Wondering what type of people stay. If mostly families / couples etc. I believe it should be guest friendly but still would like to know.

Posts: 155So it seems that the LK Metropole Hotel is the winner. Is there anyone that actually stayed there and can make a brief review before I make the booking? Yeah, tripadvisor reviews are available but I want to "hear" the ISG member point of view with all the common interest that we share.

Posts: 3474Anyone have recommendations for a hotel that allows 3 guests in one room without having to pay for an extra joiner? Any recommendations for a hotel that doesn't check the id's?

Been to Thailand / BKK several times, but never got to Pattaya! This time in September, I intend to change that and spend 8 days in Pattaya, as well as BKK.
Looking at hotels, and after a lot of reading reviews, very much interested in Hotel Mera Mare. Modern, good reviews and a reasonable location. However, with all the recent reports of hotels changing their "Girl Friendly Policies", I wondered if anyone had any recent experience of this hotel, especially their policies on being girl friendly!
Thanks!
