Is it normal for them to charge 20 baht (per customer) if we tell them we're going to a specific destination (e. G. Soi buakao, soi 6, WS)?

Well then I guess they charge different prices for different people just like the ladies do (knowledge from Mr E). Because I've never been charged more than 10 baht and I've asked to be let off at Soi 6 many times.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but just reporting my experience of riding baht buses for many years. I've never asked a price or been quoted a price, I just jump on and hand them 10 baht when I get off.

I always paid 10 baht pre pandemic. Nice way to get rid of the 1 or 5 baht. Your specific points are on the main route so nothing to worry. Sois signs are all visible as well.

Did you happen to prefer one over the other? I'm deciding between these two condos.

Leaning towards Grand Avenue as I'm reading mixed feelings regarding The Base.

I got in touch with an agent via AirBnB. I preferred Grand Avenue since high speed internet was more consistent and the room was about 50% bigger.

The hilton is probably the best 5 star hotel in Pattaya and nicely located. It was renovated during covid so all rooms are nice and new.

There are no problems with bringing back girls. You just hold their hands and make it look like they are your girlfriend as you walk into the ground floor reception and no one will bother you. They will hold her ID if they think they are working girls, but I have entered with 2 girls and they did not have a problem.

Rates double on Saturday night, so if you avoid that you can get rooms for 4000 per night during the week.

I stayed in The BASE for 1 month in May and Grand Avenue for 1 month in June. Both had safes. There were no issues bringing in girls. They do have a main entrance area where they will ask for a girl's ID if the girl is not accompanied and they believe she's working. But if you're with the girl, or you drive in via taxi, I don't think they will ask for her ID. I've never had safety issues with the girls I brought over, and I usually brought someone over about once every 3 nights, sometimes 2 girls.

I will be traveling to pattaya next week and I just had a question before I make my living arrangements.

How safe are condos??

Last time I was in Pattaya (2019 pre-covid a. K. a good times).

I stayed in a hotel. A modest hotel, but clean and near a lot of things. It was not too expensive. Unfortunately, that place has shut down now due to losses in Covid.

Anyhoo, I am thinking of taking a condo instead of a hotel this time. Grass Serviced Suites seem tempting. I am just concerned about how safe are these?

I mean do they have a safe in the rooms to keep my camera and other stuff safe if I have company coming over for the night?

Also, are condos better in terms of girl friendly? Do I have to check the girl in?

And lastly? What kinda options do I have in case someone steals cash or electronics from my condo?

All help will be appreciated with a cold one as soon as I arrive in Pattaya!!

That place is in the boonies why don't you stay closer. Dynasty Inn is nice on soi 13 I usually spend several weeks there. But I'd be looking in that area. As far as safety always best to put whatever can be easily carried away out of sight. Dynasty does have good ID checking system and they called guests in past before girl got ID back.

Hilton best location. Hard Rock isn't near anything. LK Empress is 3rd best hotel but best location.

LK Empress had one major problem for me and one nuisance. The floors were so highly polished that they were dangerously slippery when wearing socks. The nuisance was that the shower temperature control didn't work worth shit, it cycled between way too hot and too cool at about 20 second period. That was 5 years ago, so maybe it's better now.

I appreciate that they held my guests' IDs and called the room before they gave IDs back. Two girls allowed at the same time without fee, though I do tip whoever held the IDs.
