I've already reported the newly developed noise problems with Sandy Spring now that Hooters has opened a short distance away. It's all in this forum if you search.

    Areca Lodge

WT. Areca Lodge is a decent place to stay. I liked my time there last April. However it's not super close by Insomnia and WS. It's very close to LK Metro though. It's a short mototaxi ride away from WS (I don't recall exactly, but around 30-50 baht) You can walk it too, but it's probably a 20 min walk. If you decide on Areca, I'd recommend the Evergreen tower (it's newer) with a pool view if you want. The AC works better too. The pool was populated with ages 50's-60's+ crowd.

My upcoming stay I will try out View Talay 6. I stopped by to check the grounds, location and rooms. I liked it better than Areca, but it's not the same thing. VT6 is an apartment building with some services available (room cleaning, legit massage BUT no breakfast or any of the standard services you'd find at a full service hotel) The rooms are big at VT6. 45+sqm. Good views on the south side and close to Breach Rd and walking street.

Just google "girl or guest friendly hotels in Pattaya"; a wealth of information there.

My friends would be staying there, I would prefer having something better in same range closest to walking street or Beverly Plaza. I'm getting a deal for 1000 baht per day. Which sounds quiet attractive.

Hope to hear from kind soul.

I have not stayed at this hotel. However, there are plenty of hotels near Walking street. Normally there are no charges for more than one chick but varies from hotel to hotel. See this link http://www.gfriendlyhotels.com/guest...s-pattaya.html#Walking_Street for details.

Insomnia is about 1. 5 miles from Areca Lodge. Not sure what your definition of best bars is. There are lots and lots of bars and gogo clubs near Areca Lodge, which is steps from LK Metro. However, if Walking Street is your goal better location may be Baywalk Residence, Aya, Page 10, Siam, Baraquda, etc. Or possibly something more budget friendly a bit further down Beach on Soi 7 or Soi 8, where there are a ton of bars.

There are plenty. I have stayed at Penthouse, Bay walk Residence, Diamond Beach and Jasmine. These are closest to Walking Street. There are many others, but I have not stayed in them. If you see reports in this section, you will find many more.

Almost all hotels in Pattaya are girl friendly. When booking a hotel room even though you are alone tell 2 adults otherwise there are chances of joiner fees. L K Empress is near to walking street and it is on beach road.

I certainly hope that, in keeping with local tradition, that you nailed the little buggers for a joiner fee.

I have never been there but on booking.com it is rated "8. 0 - very good".

Many reviews from single travellers and few from families. Main complaints are that the wifi is rather weak and location is not ideal for the night life. The hotel is in the northern part (at the level of Soi 6) between Second and Third Road and even a bit of a walk to get to Second Road (about 500 m) where you can take one of the many baht-busses to bring you to Beach Road and Walking Street. There is a free shuttle bus to the beach. Some guests remarked that the reception staff if not very helpful. Most reviews confirm the hotel was "good value for money".

You totally misunderstood this! It is now called an eco-friendly hotel with much respect for the local wildlife.
