Posts: 2415Hotel with a good swimming pool for swimming
I wonder if someone could recommend a hotel in the 90-110 $ range which, apart from the usual qualities a Pattaya hotel need to have, is ideally suited for keeping fit at the pool. The pool not only needs to be big and clean but also not childishly landscaped so as to hamper "serious" swimming.

So after 12 trips to Pattaya I felt the need of changing a bit the scenery, I'm 50 yrs soon so I don't frequent the likes of walking str, discos, loud music anymore so both Jomtien and Naklua areas are the perfect options.
Jomtien its surely more laid back than the mainstream Pattaya, everything is on a smaller scale but its quite enjoyable. Bar area is concentrated between Sois 4 and 7 , some live band bars in main road going down Jomtien big arch and obviously the Big complex. About 50 bars or so, some with live bands especially the ones in the middle. Others are the usual set ups of almost Pattaya bar complexes, pool tables, girls around and plenty of food stalls. But you don't see any girls dancing on stage Same like frog complex in walking street while its less louder.
Even beach area is more clean and relaxed. On another note there is a block full of gay massages and few bars in an arcade on the right hand side going down hill to Jomtien. Its not on level with Boyz Town in Pattaya but Even hotels / guesthouses in that area cater for mostly gays so if you book around and its not your piece of cake double check with hotel prior booking (as well an area on beach sort of designated for gays).
Overall I like Jomtien area, basically there is everything on a quite note, good food, massages, bars, 1 go-go (oldest go-go in Patts so don't expect beauties) ,and girls as well. I'm no longer a fan of the busy crowds in walking street and discos although occasionally I pay a trip to go-go's.
Naklua area (north Pattaya) is another gem, again you find anything you like with less crowds.

Posts: 6298I asked about Jomtien Complex last year and was told to skip it. Please provide a much needed update in the Pattaya Forum if you do go there. You may want to consider some of the gentleman's clubs like Kinnaree, Heaven, Venus, Winchester, Rioja, etc. Nearby instead. Other than Kinnaree Place, not even sure which of these are still open.

Need a recommendation for a good Jomtien hotel, in the middle of action, with a swimming pool.
Thank you.

Thanks very much. You have answered my query. I just want to bring one girl at one time but may be few girls during the same day.

The joiner fee policy is the same as many hotels in Pattaya.
There is no charge for 1 girl. You can keep on changing the girls throughout the day!
But there is a (I think 500 baht) joiner fee for the second girl, if you bring her at the same time. I hate this policy!

I will be staying at LK The Empress at the end of this month. Anyone who has stayed at this hotel before, is it possible to bring more than one girl (not at the same time) during the day?
Thanks.

For my second week, after spending a week with my Thai GF in BKK, I returned and stayed at the Dynasty and it was quiet. Much easier to sleep there, and it is less expensive. But, again, I didn't tend to nap late into the evenings, and I was out by 9 or 10 PM not to return until 1 AM to 3 AM, so the nose was not a huge problem.
That said, I just make a preliminary booking for November back at the Dynasty.

Posts: 17Thank you SirW. I saw your post before asking. I am not so concerned with noise that will stop at 2 am, as I am usually out and about at that time. More curious about room quality / comfort / overall value.
Thanks.
