Is Page10 hotel really girl friendly? I have thought so but I just read on Tripadvisor review that a man was charged when leaving for having guests. Is it a good hotel still? What would you suggest for my 6 day stay next week. I have only stayed in Flipper House, which I will book again if I can't find or decide to have another hotel. I'd like to stay between sois 6-10. What about Sunshine on soi 8? I'd like to have a balcony, that's why I'm considering other than Flipper House. Love the location of soi 7 or 8 but on the other hand ID like a quiet room that I could also sleep when having a "day off" from partying.

I chose this location because it is close to Walking Street, reasonably priced, and had rooms available. I came down to Pattaya on a whim, and so did not have a reservation. I could have booked something on Agoda or the like, but my credit cards are being scrutinized by multiple authorities, and so better to keep a place like Pattaya off the books. This means I had to do a walk in, or book something through a travel agent in BKK and pay cash. I tried the latter, looking for a room at the Dusit Baracuda, but they were all full. So rather than try to book something ahead of time, I decided to just walk around and find a place.

I started with Aya, and thought I might do some of the other hotels around this area. But I walked in, asked for a room, and they said they only have the large room available, for 2500 baht per night. I popped this up on Agoda, and yes, it was listed at $71 per night, so no bullshit from them. I told them that I don't need the big room, can they give me the big room for the price of the small room? I said I also need breakfast and wifi. They agreed! So I paid 2100 baht per night, with breakfast and wifi.

The room (this is the 40 square meter one) is large and pleasant. I've been in the 30 square meter rooms, and they are a touch small and cramped, especially around the bathroom area. So this room was a pleasant surprise. They have a really nice lounging area in the room, which is like a flat built-in day bed, where one can fuck to one's delight, should you want that. In my field report in which I bring a gogo girl back, I will post a picture of her taking a little nap in this area, so you see what it looks like. Look for that in a couple of days.

The airconditioning sucks, so make sure to ask for a second key card, or what they call an electric card (can use this to put in the key slot ro run the AC all day, but it won't open doors). That way, you can leave it in the slot and have the AC run all day. Otherwise, when you come into the room, it is sweltering hot, and it takes at least an hour to cool down. This is important. Also, the airconditioning vents direct air right onto the bed, which is great during hot sex, but when you are trying to sleep, it is not terribly fun to have cold air breezing onto your face. And finally in this category, there is no air conditioning in the hallways. This may seem like a small gripe, but when you are coming back from a long trek through humid weather, you really feel the cloying hallways weigh on you.

Breakfast was not too good, to tell the truth. They had an omelet station, but their breads were very poor, and OMG, their coffee situation was just untenable. They did not have potted coffee, or an espresso machine, but instead, they had a Nescafe automatic dispenser machine. This allowed you to get cups of 'coffee' on demand, as well as mix it with 'milk', foamed or otherwise. For anyone that drinks coffee, and not 'coffee', this is simply amazingly bad. I had half a cup of the stuff and had to stop. Afterwards I went to a coffee shop in the mall next door and got my self some serious coffee.

But that is the major plus for this hotel, IMHO: its location. It is right next to the Marriott shopping mall, with that Food Wave on the top floor, and a Coffee World and Starbucks in there too. Within walking distance to WS, a moments from Beach Rd, it's kind of in a perfect location.

They are very girl friendly; she leaves her ID in the lobby and call up when she leaves. The only potential downside is that during the day, the hotel is frequented by a lot of non-mongers, but fuck 'them, right?

So overall, the hotel is a good one, at the price for the lower room. If I could get the larger room for that lower price again, I would definitely repeat. But at the 2500 baht price point, there are nearby hotels that might be a better bet. What I like the most is its location: within walking distance to walking street. What I like the least is the airconditioning situation, but I could live with the latter.

I trusted in you and was not let down! I was thumbing through the Pattaya Apartments thread and stumbled upon the sentence above. I did a google search, filled out all of the info on booking.com, and got to within one click of booking. I then read the rest of your post and hit "reserve".

I am happy with the decision. The room is a little small (but sufficient) with a queen sized bed, small couch, and a small counter. Everything was as you described with a swimming pool and gym. The gym has no weight machines but has a bunch of free weights and treadmills as well. They are currently running a deal, 3 nights for the price of 2. The daily rate is only $35 usd not including breakfast. I am going to be here for 4 days so that's $105 usd for 4 days.

The hotel is girl friendly and they register each girl at the front desk. I haven't had any girls so I can't say if they allow multiple girls at one time or per night.

Stayed in PJ Inn while in Pattaya. Its a very good economical hotel.

Its near to Central mall and from near by we can easily get baht bus to walking street.

Hotel Manager is also very gentle person.

Yes I still decide these places where to go.

I'm a bit surprised one chose a mongering destination based on the cost of cheap hotels, anyway if that's your take, as mentioned Expedia is your best approach. It has a large selection of cheap hotels in Pattaya, and I guess anywhere else in the world. The prices are often much lower than what you can get showing up.

FYI,

Stayed at the Page 10 on soi 10 and some of the reviews on Trip advisor was relevant like inconsistent hot water availability.

Overall stay was better than satisfactory.

Breakfast was ok but not much selection.

Requested room on back side of hotel so can't comment if noise from beer bar was obtrusive. Beer bar has a Thai show and other side of beer bar had live soft rock music.

Room would not past American safety standards (OSHA) but this is not America LOL.

Overall service by maintenance and room service was great. When checking in found out my balcony door was broken and expected to be charged for it but wasn't.

Front desk was just satisfactory. Got more help from travel agency 50 yards down the road for non-mongering touristy attractions. English speaking and very helpful. She took us around in her personal POV.

Also don't use Hotel laundry as at the end of soi 10 near beach road there is a laundry shop.

Will try Stay Hotels next time.

Has anyone stayed at the Sexy In The City guest house on Soi 6 and, if so, would you recommend it? On the surface it sounds great - 24 hour bar, good Wifi, AC, 900 baht. But it'd be great to hear of the experiences of others before booking.

Since it seems no-one has stayed here, I'll give some feedback after my recent stay.

SITC is located on Soi 6 and is well known as a popular bar with short time rooms upstairs. The rooms being rented out are spacious and clean and a completely separate class to the short time rooms. One benefit of staying there is that you're right in the middle of all the Soi 6 fun. One of the drawbacks of staying there is you're right in the middle of all the Soi 6 fun. Generally the bar (and the others on Soi 6) quieten down around 1 am so, on the whole, noise wasn't an issue for me as I think there was only one night in which I came back to my room before that time. However, there was one night there were customers downstairs and the music continued on until 3 am. AJ, the bar manager, is a very personable guy and a good host. On the price front, I thought 900 baht / night was a bit high when compared to what else is available in the same sort of area and also on Sois 7 and 8. I enjoyed my stay there but would probably be looking for somewhere a little cheaper and quieter next time.

You are going to have a hard time finding "nice" accommodations for what equates to 700 baht per night. Asking repeatedly will not change that. But I will offer a couple of Pattaya suggestions to help out a punter:

Good evening friends, my next visit to Pattaya in on June last week. Need few suggestions. In my last visit I stayed at the LK Metropole. I do not have anything to complain about it. But I'm thinking to change the hotel this time. Last time we three friends took individual (three separate rooms) so that.

We can have our own timings and plan. I'm little bit confused this time whether to have same plan or rent a villa?

The would it be fine to rent a villa with three separate bedrooms as my friends suggest we can party with a group of chicks who we befriended last time on one day or two. My stay in Pattaya would be for 4 nights.

So I just need this piece of advice.

1) I'm getting a good deal of around 2 k baht for a superior room with jetted tub and city view at the LK empress. I found this to be good deal. I need someone who has been in the near past in LK empress to review about it?

2) is there any villa option with 3 bed rooms and a pool for 7 to 10 k baht nearby the main action area (to say second road or central Pattaya)? If anyone has used something like that, kindly suggest with a review of the facilities?

3) if not LK empress, can someone suggest a similar good hotel in 2 to 2.5 k baht per day in central Pattaya or second road?

Great location, good value for money. Central Featival Mall, with grocery store and very large food court with tremendous food/ cuisine options a big plus. Expect to pay about $70 a night for a studio, min.

3rd floor laundry and some Masaage places make for a nice full service building, if you go for maid service options. Huge number of massage places right outside on 2nd Rd.

50 baht by moto taxi to Walking Street and 100 baht, if you are returning with company in the early am. Taxi to WS 150 baht. Return in the early am (when it was raining) by taxi was 200 Baht.

Hawk, the Dusit is in North Pattaya but an easy ride by baht bus to walking street. Just walk out the hotel door and you can hail a baht bus. Centara is further away.

I just booked the Baraquda for B3100++ including breakfast. Arriving in about 10 days. I could get Baraquda and an ocean view room at LK Empress for the same price. The Ocean view room didn't have a balcony. I love the ocean view but without a balcony I picked the Quda. May try VT6 for a few days also.

Sure you won't regret it. Service, reception, end concierge are first class. Food is very good. When I ate there, I was offered 30% discount on the meals, I still don't know why, but the waiter insisted! Well, You can't refuse that.

They keep ID of joiners. No joiners fee. And they call you in the room to check everything is ok before giving the ID back to the girl when she leaves.

The suites with jacuzzi are just unbelievable!

Appreciate the advice, and warning about Dusit Thani. I'm not a first-timer, and I absolutely wouldn't want non-GF. Actually got a bit of hassling at the Hard Rock a few years back, even though I booked a double and they attempted to extract a joiner fee. With Dusit and Centara, I'm aware that the location far north is not ideal, but I have stayed in further-flung places like Jomtien, so I am aware of the transit issue and assume those are quite a ways off the baht bus route. So. Baraquda looks like it might fit the bill. It's on Agoda with availability in October (when I'll be there) at about USD 87 with no cancellation penalty (no breakfast; the upcharge to the next level with that king room is ridiculous, unless someone could advise that the food is scrumptious). The Sofitel website itself has got the hotel at $377, nonrefundable and no breakfast. Insane.

I've always kept the Baraquda Pattaya in the back of my mind if I didn't have a nice place one night and needed a very nice hotel for a special girl. Anything with the Sofitel label has to be first class.
