In preliminary research I have been unpleasantly surprised how expensive Pattaya has become. Number shows average apartment cost in the city over 500 USD.

I am on a strict budget. I need information on cheap hotel rooms in or near (within 15 km) of Pattaya. Specifically I will be looking for a clean, basic room with good bed, not real noisy good air conditioning and good water pressure / shower. Private bath only and honest management. I want something no more than 500 Baht. I can go to 650 B, but I'd rather not.
I also need to know the cheapest, comfortable way to get from BKK airport to Pattaya, without a lot of walking.
If you want to stay right in the action try Metro Apartment in LK Metro. Rooms above a good sportsbar. Nice large rooms. Big refrigerator, Balcony. Clean, good service, nice and friendly staff. Good food (from a nearby reastaurant). But no pool here. A bit noisy in the evening, but quiet from 3 AM. It is around 600 bath per night in April 2019. Smack dab in the middle of the action! Transport from the airport; try Bell transport. (www.belltravelservice.com) Book online. Only 300 bath or so. Includes the bus trip to Pattaya and onward transport to your hotel. Very convenient.

LK Empress in Pattaya is a good spot. Good breakfast, Girl Friendly, walking distance to Walking Street, Also action to be had across the street along Beach Road.

Only way I see is to either not respond to posters with that specific question or just post the 4 letter abbreviation RTFF.

I stayed at LK Empress my last trip to Pattaya. I much prefer the Penthouse hotel over LK Empress. Penthouse is cheaper, closer to the action, and so unique. I think it's the perfect hotel for mongering.

Glad you caught the sarcasm that HpHash missed.

Perhaps you could also read the forum to trivially get the answers to your questions on your own time.

    RTFF?

Friends I need some info regarding my travel to Thailand in mid June!! My company has booked my hotel citrus grande Pattaya.

Guys please tell me if this hotel is guest friendly or not? When I emailed the hotel they said they only allow extra guest only if I book this hotel from their website? I will be booking the hotel on double occupancy but now I don't know what they will do!! Any suggestions on the nearby hotels so that I can take the girl there if possible.
    Bro,

The LK Empress is your best choice. Location is great too. I think as long as you book double occupancy there shouldn't be any issue in Pattaya. Why else open a hotel Pattaya, if there is no guest allowed. Getting around places is very cheap by Baht Buses. Good luck.

    Hello brother,

"Desi" is a Hindi language (Asian Indian language) word. It means an Indian. Lot of people from India visit Pattaya so he may be trying to get answer from an Indian brother here.

P.S: Some places treat Indians differently in Pattaya.

    Hotels That Are "Centrally Located"

The Base condo is on the east side of Second Road, opposite Soi 11 and the the Mike shopping mall. It doesn't get any more "centrally located" than that.

This sub-forum has literally dozens of reviews of hotels that are located in central Pattaya. Go back 50 pages and read forward. You'll see five or six hotels with multiple reviews. Those hotels are popular for a reason. But you've got to do the work and read the reviews. Finally, your inquiry suggests you are a trifle hazy on Pattaya's geography. Google "Groovy Map Pattaya" and buy an old-fashioned map. Spend some time studying it to get the lay of the land while you are planning your trip.
