1st time heading to Pattaya. A group of us all have single rooms at Secrets Hotel. What are your opinions on Secrets? TIA.

Clean basic type rooms, relatively quiet soi, close to Walking street. No pool though, which is a must for me in Pattaya. Stickman reported in his column this week the Secrets bar is being rebranded, and scheduled to shut on 3/7 and reopen on 3/29.

There's a laundry shop on every soi just use one of them.

1 day turn around. Maybe 2 if they lag.

Have been there 26 times within last 6 years. And l love it. It's getting more and more expensive but you have to realize that it's worthy to pay for it, unless you go mad, like l did before. Soi bukkao soi 6 7 and 8 top spot. Looking for any advice or help, please drop a line and l help you. Happy mongering.

And has anyone actually stayed in Chada Thai house? The price seems very decent (like 1300 thb / night), it doesn't have pool but seems like location is good, rooms are big, balcony, etc. They confirmed they are GF (no joiner fee), but I've only found a report about that hotel on this forum from like 10 years ago.

I stayed there last August for 3 nights for THB 2,880, so THB 1300 per night seems high. This was my review of the hotel on the website I booked it at:

Good value hotel.

· Nice staff. Comfortable bed. Good air conditioning.

· Bathrom sink did not have hot water and water in shower was not hot enough, even when only the hot water was on, to shower comfortably. Some slight noise from nearby bars by the door and in the bathroom but not when lying in the bed.

Does someone have any tips for specific AirBnB places or at least the condo buildings? I've seen discussion about airbnb few pages back but I don't think specific places were mentioned. My next trip is going to be on a tight budget and I'd prefer bigger chunk of it to go towards supporting Isaan economy, hence wanted to save on a hotel.

The Base is still hard to beat and believe me I try. 30-40/ nt if you look and book early. Getting into the 20/ nt range doesn't really help that much budget wise and is a definite step down.

Never stayed there but this hotel has 49 reviews on Tripadvisor and the majority of them is positive.

The Centara near Soi 6 is also girl friendly.

Hard Rock Hotel and Centric Sea would be 2 other options very near Soi 6.

Thanks BB. Hard rock seems to be for the late night party owls which I am not. Centara was the closest to corner of Soi6 but many reviews indicated they put all Indians in one block. Enough said!!

I can positively confirm At Mind Serviced Residences is girl friendly.

Thank you very much Allover. I ended up booking At Mind Serviced Residence. They did not respond to multiple emails and neither did Centara Pattaya and Agoda messages went unanswered as well, so I had to get some feedback before booking. On the contrary Amari Nova Suites answered affirmatively within a few hours on their joiner friendly policy however it was just a bit off soi 6.

Though there are many websites out there that list girlfriendly hotels and both hotels were indeed listed on them.

On a side note, I stayed in WH Condotel last time (which also happened to be my first trip) based on your feedback and was satisfied. Not a modern hotel but very quiet and and that was important for me. Hopefully this time works out as well.
