The baht bus is only 10 baht (about USD 0.3). I've never seen tuk tuks in Pattaya.

I stayed there many years ago, and they were charging a guest fee. Has that changed? Or are you saying one can sneak in a girl without the staff noticing it?

Also, for folks who like to spend their evenings in WS, it is a pain coming back, just a bit too far from WS.

Need some advice re. Hotel walking distance to sois 7&8,budget 2500/3000 thb per night, pool is a must, the bigger the better. No need for fast, pussy is enough LOL. On a general note, mentioned sois have much to offer and after 3 visits to Pattaya I'm fed up of walking street zone.

1200 thb night is plenty Flipper House / Lodge, Sunrise Residence, Sunbeam (is best), Eastiny hotels all right there in middle pick one you can use map function on agoda to check out hotels.

Guys been e mailing some hotels and planning my next visit. Many hotels enforce a 20 years plus policy for the girls. So check carefully with the mamasan at the bar as the girl might lie about her age and you get turned away at the hotel if they check her age against ID. Some hotels are more relaxed about the age rule. Also check your hotel reception when you check in about their policy. Happy hunting.

Thailand has a legal age limit of 20 for girls in a hotel I wouldn't play around with that.

Don't think twice IndStallion31. Hard Rock Hotel, walking distance from all sois, nice rooms with sea view, fantastic pool, you don't even need to register the girl thanks to an entrance in beach road, on the opposite side of reception.

Right on! Have been going to Pattaya for seven years and I may do WS one night out of the eight I'm usually there, only because we like to go to the Beer Garden for a meal and nice view beforehand. Soi 7 and 8 are the best, as you allude to. We also like LK Metro; less traffic and no Chinese tourists. Our hotel of choice is LK the Empress which is about half way between WS and Sois 7 and 8. It has a nice sized pool too.

Lets see. I might finish the booking in couple of days. Can you sggest any beach road hotel option??

Having been there just once, it is difficult for me to recommend the ones I have not had personal experience with. From what I recall rom the forums, it seems the LK hotels are a good bet. Sure there is one on Beach road.

Travelodge is another good bet, a little tucked away on a side street and calm. Checkout the location, reviews and photos and decide if it suits you.

You are invariably going to find some of our noisy compatriots (sigh) but still we had a good time there and of course it is girl friendly and they collect the IDs as well which gives you a sense of safety.

Been reading through the various Thailand forums. Have RTFF. Have my only second ever punting trip coming up in Feb. First one was Phnom Penh.

Am planning to head to Pattaya and have booked hotel vista on beach road for about 4 nights. Wanted to know if anyone had any prior experience here? It looked good on agoda and tripadvisor reviews are also pretty good. Thought I'd check here anyway.

Nice hotel. Good and quiet yet you're a baht bus ride or short walk away from the action. A couple of so so beer bars nearby but Soi 6 is close. Soi 7/8 are bit farther. I usually stay on Soi 5 when I've had enough of WS and LK metro.

Sureena Hotel is an excellent choice for the budget minded. Located half a bock off Beach Road on oi 13/2, it has a myriad of massage parlors, cafes and even a 7-11 conveniently located across the street. There is also a Post Office located a few doors down. At the moment, there is construction going on with a new elevator being installed, so noise during daytime hours can be loud at times. The rooms are okay with the exception of the windowless, interior rooms which resemble, frankly, cheap, 2 dollar working girl accommodations. Avoid those rooms. The A/C worked fine for me and there also was a refrigerator. The hot water supply was adequate as well. They are chica friendly with no chica fees, but only max of 2 chicas, or threesomes are allowed. 3 girls, or more, are forbidden. The day manager explained to me, as best she could in her broken English, something about prior fuckfests involving shrieking, skid marks, etc. And the like. Anyway, it is a great location and one can actually pull freelancers just by sitting on the front stoop and chatting with the passing girls, especially late at night, when as business dwindles on Beach Road, dispirited Little Darling Spinners often wander to the 7-11 in search of refreshment (and perhaps solace when weighing themselves at the 1 Baht weight / fortune machine in front of the 7-11) and you can call out offers such as 600 Baht? 500 Baht? Even perhaps 400 baht? What can they say, it's 2 am, not like it's a bull market of buyers. I did try for the mythical $14.75 offer for academic curiosity, but found no takers. Alas.

I've stayed at the Hotel Max on the same block. Yes, that Soi is convenient if you want to pull girls from the Coconut Bar. Superior rooms were nice at the Max and they also posted a sign explaining two guests were allowed, free of charge. It got a bit noisy one night, when one of the clubs hired a DJ to set up right in the street. But, otherwise I liked the location and will check out Sureena when I'm in Patts again. However, other destinations in SE Asia are calling me now.
