If this is the Travelodge on Soi 15 behind Avenue Mall it looks like a very nice new hotel. Never stayed so can't comment on guest policies. Good location cutting through Avenue Mall to 2nd Road, through Areca Lodge to Soi Diana and near Soi Buakhao.

    Travelodge feedback

Travelodge Pattaya is located close enough and has a good price. More importantly its got good reviews on Agoda and other sites.

However I couldn't find anything about it here. Can some one shed some light before I book for 4 nights?

I had the following in mind: LK Metor / Empress / Areca but either they are sold out or a little bit beyond budget.

In case I missed earlier reviews, pardon my bad search skills.

    Thanks!

For reference if you are familiar with Angeles City, which is my usual destination, I stay down Perimeter Road on Malabanias to get a cheap room and hit the bars in that area, never even venturing to Fields.
If you are not interesting to venturing down to Walking Street you can stay in soi7/8, soi6 or in soi Buakhao near soi LK Metro, soi Honey, Soi Chaiyapoon.

Naked girls in the bar? You will find naked girls in some agogo bars. In some places like LE Telephone or LE Poste girls will take off their panties or strip for ladydrinks. You can find girls with miniskirt and uniform in soi6 and in the clubs in soi Full Love Inn. Sometimes clubs with the swimming pool (like MClub and Heavens) have a bikini day.

Depends on the hotels. For some hotels you can find a better rate on booking or agoda, for others you can just email them. I never been a walking guest just show up and asking for room available, but many guys do it.

I don't need to be in the zoo of Walking Street again and if I remember correctly I found better bars and girls further east down the beach anyway and I know it is just a short baht bus trip to go back and forth to the different sois.

Soi 13 is a good option. Inn House is clean and cheap. The hotel opposite, Sandy Spring more expensive, but larger pool. (some nice from Hooters at night) Use agoda or trivago and go to the map and see prices. Remember to book for 2 persons (same price as 1 person as breakfast is not included) Both girlfriendly and no fee. In Soi 12 with beachfront you have a more upgraded hotel LK The Empress.

    "best" Pattaya area

LOL McDonalds, KFC, and Burger King are not in my good food category desperate yes. There are a ton of good restaurants right there. The Golf Club, Harrys and others are also very good.

I think it's not possible to make a reservation for two guests when the room is for double occupancy only.
You would have to find and reserve a room that is suitable for triple occupancy (eg. with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, or with 3 single beds).

Good question. I had booked the room for double occupancy (myself + 1 guest); no issues when I brought one girl back, but extra fee when I brought two back.

I've just realised they gave me 2 breakfast vouchers per day so that at least is a good sign.

In Thailand, Hotels have this shitty rule to mention the number of persons will be staying at the time of booking and while checking-in. I don't know what's the reason behind this, but it's always a wiser choice to mention 2 persons if you are planning to bring over a lady.

At most of the places while checking-in, when you say 2 persons are going to stay they would ask you about the second person to which you could answer that - "She would join later". No questions asked further, however they would collect the passport / ID card of the lady while going in.

For your case, while checking-in say you are on double occupancy. Should be fine irrespective of what you have mentioned in Booking.com.

With LK properties you simply cannot go wrong. Everything is good. Well appointed, large, clean, elegantly decorated rooms. Good comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a WC that has a water jet (quite common in Thailand). A decent balcony, for smoking. A large fridge that is well stocked, a microwave and reasonably well stocked crockery and cutlery units. Yes, there is a safe. All the electrical work in the room can be controlled by an electronic master unit next to your bedside, so it is super convenient. Decent pool, not too big though. Very efficient and friendly staff. I had trouble with the aircon one of the days and the staff resolved things very quickly.

The biggest drawback of this place is there is no restaurant, so calling in room service is out. But with a location like Soi Diana you are never too far from some good places to eat.

Lee's Diner serves fantastic Thai and European food. Thanks to Banana Boi for the recommendation..
