You can use the same reviews to filter on 'clean' and uhm... libraries, theaters and galleries of course.

Hi guys,
I'm planning a one week trip to Pattaya and I'm thinking to book either LK Residence or LK Metropole Hotel. As far as I understand both hotels are girl friendly which is condition #1. Also I found the Thai climate too hot and need a (clean) bathtub and both hotels have that. Also the bathtub can be interesting place when you came back with a girl for the night. The location also seems very good. I have never been in Pattaya, but it seems that around there is a lot of party streets. LK Metro, Soi Honey. Please can someone confirm me if my observation and expectations about the location are correct.
Both hotels seems perfect choice based on my criteria but what about the noise? I can not sleep when it is noisy and I'll need that to restore the lost energy So if you have been at LK Residence or LK Metropole Hotel can you comment on:
- noise.
- is it clean.
- is it a good location for the purpose of the trip that every one of us visit Pattaya. I mean libraries, theaters, galleries, etc.
Cheers,

I've found they have plenty of rooms and in most cases cheaper than if I booked August rooms in advance. I'd assume this may be a different story in December or in high season in general. I've had my eye on spoiling myself at the Hilton and Siam Siam last few days if I stay in Pattaya. Yesterday Hilton quoted me 7300 baht for end of August but I could get a room today for 5600 baht. That's actually closer than most of my quotes. I've been told they get even cheaper the day of. But is it worth the risk of missing out? Idk.

I know you're not the only one so this is meant as a kind reminder to anyone quoting prices in USD.

Posts: 90I'm guessing Pattaya's get's more and more fully booked. Mid-August a Monday to Sunday (6 night) Baraq is 850 +150 fees. Wave 820 and Hilton 1400. Pretty steep.
I feel Pattaya is one city you DO need to book further in advance as prices do raise pretty fast the closer it get's to your visit. As it's obviously not the biggest city it can get pretty extreme for what you get. I. E. Wave is def overrated. I stayed there a few days and altho nothing bad can be said about the place (super lovely staff) the prices they dare to ask for ordinary rooms is hilarious (from our point of view then. Business wise probably very smart as there might be a market for it).

Thank you everyone for you input. I booked a reservation at Areca using Agoda. I was able to book the Super Deluxe for 48 USD a night with free cancellation although you could get the same room for 43 but that rate is non-refunable. I am not sure which wing I am in as it didn't give a choice for choosing. I will try to post my thoughts on the hotel after my stay in September. Thanks again everyone.

If you have a bit more budget and are keen for a sea side location, LK Empress is the one to go for.

Under some way, given the Pattaya factors is similar to majestic grande in bkk, albeit MG has a solid business customer range you will not find at Areca.
But, Hey, pattaya is no business city vs, bkk.
