    Why Not Disco

I did not try talking to the hired help becasue they appeared very clickish. Other than waiting the tables, the girls "circled the wagons" at the bar. The only ones who seemed to be chatting with them were the Filipino male customers. At one time (around 11:45pm), there were seven male Filipino customers at the bar, and myself.

This "Executive" room was in the back of the resort (not facing the sea), and you needed a guide to find it. The room smelled, the TV did not work, and there were bugs galore. Went out in the evening and when I came back there was garbage strewn all around my front door. I mean lots of garbage.

Went downtown and ate at "Why Not Disco's" restaurant (next to the Disco). Food was ok. Got some meaningful glances from ladies repeatedly exiting and re-entering the Disco, but that was it. Went into the Why Not around 10:30 pm. The crowd was younger (I am 56, but keep very fit). Did not get as much as a second look. Stayed for about an hour and left.

Since it was still early I strolled along the sea walk. It was very nice with a cool breeze flowing in from the ocean. There were literally hundreds of Filipinos sitting at plastic tables, providing by vendors, drinking beer-na-beer and listening to a free concert. The only come hither experience was two transvestites plying there trade. I passed.

The dock area were the tickets are sold opened up at 5:00am, I got there at 4:20am and was second in line. Glad I did because it was a mob scene trying to get a ticked. All order - as usual - broke down and people just rushed the window. When I put my arm in the ticket window to retrieve my ticket, at the same time, a Filipino guy (who did not bother standing in line) came up to the window and stuck his arm in the window with money in his fist. As a result, I could not get my arm out. It was like a Max Sennet comedy. He, being afraid he would miss his chance to get a ticket, would not remove his arm and, as a result, I could not extricate my arm. What a scene.

Since I inadvertently erased my Dumagette notes from my palm, any updated or old information would be appreciated.

Plaza Maria was so noisy in the mornings..

No problem bringing girls there but I checked out after 2 days and switched to World View near Silliman Univ. The sounds at Maria just went right into my room from the earlybirds chattering away and I am a late riser when I'm in PI. Bethel house is strict. There is a small Hotel by Bethel house I stayed one night. Honycomb or honey something or other. I had a small room that night but found a tight girl from the Boulevard.

    Plaza Maria Luisa

I did stay here once and had a girl in my room who wasn't with me when I checked in. It was the same girl during my whole stay, non-P4P. So I can't say for sure what it's like if you bring back a different SW every night. But I think I've heard before that this place is no problem.

    Girl friendly hotels & rentals

    Hi All,

I am coming to Dumaguete sometime between mid June & mid July on my first visit to PI. I hope to retire to PI and use Dumaguete as a base to see a couple of other towns I may consider settling down in.

Apart from the Bethel Hotel (which you all say is definitely not girl friendly), the only hotel I can find that has email booking is the Plaza Maria Luisa Suites Inn. Does anyone know if I will have any problems taking a girl back to my room at this hotel? Are there any other hotels which are definitely girl friendly?

I am also thinking of the possibility of renting a house or apartment, preferably in the $200 to $400 per month range. Will this be a problem and will there be anything in the lease that might dampen my sexcapades?

Thanks in advance & good hunting to all.

This is an unusual place in PI

Good to hear about your trip. However, it wasn't too encouraging to learn of the disappointments you faced.

Dgte City is where the first university in their country was established. Hence students are game. It is also a private and expensive place for the locals to study in. A little help with any sponsor would certainly be welcomed by the local student population. Getting into the campus required that you surrender some form of ID to the security at the gate and they give you a 'Visitor' tag. This way you need to come out of the same gate. WHen you walk around the campus, all you need to predent is an interest in some faculty or the other. WHen you meet students, you would need to talk intelligently to back up your interest. After that, you could organise a Tanduay-Rum party at your place and take it from there on. You are right about these girls being shy in public - but that is their national characteristic. Which makes them so much more appealing!

Historically this place is known for it's pretty women. In days of pirates, these bandicoots would raid the island to round up women for their pleasure. As a result, you find this old bell on a crumbling tower at one corner of Rizal Park. It was used to warn all the people of invaders so that the women would escape into surrounding areas. Now they have a replica on one end of the promenade.

This new structure has a little gallery upstairs and used as a place to exhibit crafty wares. This modern bell tower attracts women.

Almost every shop assistant I came across at the local plaza was available. If in doubt, move a little further out of city limits and you would discover how much easier it is to score.

I shall write again about my trip into the hills.

Well im back in Oz now and have to report a rather unsuccessful mission in Dumaguete. Despite getting maybe 10 cell phone numbers and in constant sms with these girls I met while walking around, nothing eventuated.

The ones I met mostly already had jobs and as such didn't seem to have much free time (but they sure had plently of time to sms all day long).

One cutie I met in Siquijor came over to visit, but that turned out to be just a "shopping trip" for her (or rather me).

To score one of those local student types I have no doubt would be possible, just takes a lot of patience or more skills / lying than I was prepared to do.

To sum up the experience in Dumaguete, I'd say it's a nice place to visit for a few days and try your luck with the locals. If all else fails there is a reasonable (not great) selection available from Why Not or on the promenade.

    Blink,

I think the clubs in Quezon City get lots of well-off businessmen and politicians so the girls are correspondingly hot. These clubs in Dumaguete (at least the 2 I saw, Lipstick and Chequers) are a few rungs down that ladder. Between the 2 places there was really only one girl that I was interested in. Most of the customers are in a different league also. (The toothless local brigade as one of my friends likes to call them)

About meeting the girls online, I have about 10 years experience with this. In fact when I got started letter-writing was still the norm, since internet and email was just then catching on. When this new thread gets started I'll be happy to join in. But I hate to see the Dumaguete thread get all filled up with a general discussion on something else.

In general you'll meet all types: pros and non-pros, virgins and nymphos, sometimes even virgin nymphos if you can imagine. Like X Man says if you meet a reasonable number you'll for sure find some that will....

    Online Forum

By the way, I'd like to see a thread on online meeting. I tried it the last trip and it was pretty much a fiasco. I'd appreciate any advice.

    Dumaguete July '05

This is a little late, but I stayed in Dumaguete in July 2005. It's a very pleasant, laid back city. I had a girlfriend in Cebu, so I wasn't really looking for anything, but my friend picked up 2 girls from the promenade who spent the night with us. So it can be done.

I stayed at the Gazebo Inn, which is very clean and reasonably priced, about 500 Pesos.

Blink 157 There's typically a Filipino price and a foreigner price for girls. I knew some Filipinos in Baguio who would get one of the girls from the outrageously priced bars there after hours for practically pennies.

My guess is that the trike drivers are picking up the "college" students from some brothel in town. The price they pay may be something as low as 200 pesos. Whatever you give the trike driver is gravy. Can I say authoritatively that this is so? No, but that's how the system works in Cebu City, only the procurer gets a taxi rather than a trike.

My eye-opener occured in Cebu City years ago when some Filipinos took me to a brothel and I forked over all the money I had at the time (about 1400 pesos). The girl later informed me that the price for any girl there was 200 Pesos.

    I posted this request:
Currently in the Philippines section there is a discussion about online dating and web chat encounters (in Angeles and Filipina threads). I think there is enough interest to creat a seperate thread for this growing method of meeting and wooing the objects of our affection -- without getting burned in the process.

    X Man
Good idea, I think many guys got burned by some filipinas there, specially on that paid chatsites ( I also had my experience on that and will share)and I think it would be interesting to exchange infos on that topic, specially to avoid the big scammers...hahahahaha..

But , you dont have to forget that those gurls also wana make a living....BUT....we should just avoid paying to much for that and I think this is also what this board is all about, to help mongers to get laid in foreign countries and share info to avoid paying to much and walk into traps, right?

I will folow ur intsructions X man and maybe we get the chance to have thread about that into the proper section :)

    Happy hunting!
