There was some talk about the $50 charge when it started about a week ago, and it is in the "General Info" thread for Panama. (The top thread in the Panama forum.) Yes, it is a chica fee. There are some ways around it, like bringing the chica up before or after the security person is by the elevator, which is maybe 9 pm to 3 am.

Interestingly, one of the chicas told me that she had to pay $15 per night to the Veneto, in order to work the casino floor area.

Definitely if the girl is going to the reception thex want to charge you $50.

So on the sneaking past this part: if the chica is dressed like a hooker they stop you. If the chica is dressed like a normal person they don't stop you even late at night. After hooking the Panamanian in for full day hang outs and fucking, I would routinely go up and down with her as we picked more destinations to do things at. The security guy just completely ignored us. I think he's told not to fuck with normal guest activity. Just the mongering and he's careful about it.

BTW, he speaks no English, and I think he's embarrassed about it. Otherwise he seems like a nice guy just doing his job.

It's going to become even more hardcore after the canal in Nicaragua opens up, and the economy in Panama takes a hit. I spoke to a friend who has mongered for many more years than me. In his own words, Panama City is about as insane as going to Thailand. He might be exaggerating.

Unless I can confirm another proper hotel (room service, room safe) that is chica friendly, I think I will book the Veneto in February for a week.

First off the Veneto is an absolute dump. It is my fourth time to stay there and it progressively gets worse. The hallways stink and floors are always soaked in water from rains. The rooms are dirty. With that being said I was able to sneak by multiple times. My first night I picked up a smoker (9 in my opinion) from Habanos. We agreed to $100 and we took a taxi to Veneto. We walked straight in the bottom floor elevators as the guy was sidetracked. Lucky me.

The next night I was talking to every girl in Veneto. There was about 30-40 I believe. I kept asking them if they knew any way to get past the security. The basically said no but its possible if they find a key to go up by themselves when the guy isn't looking. I negotiated for a busty black chica to come up to my room for $50. (As far as I know I broke the record for actually getting a chica under $60 in Veneto. Most start at $150 and few will ever go under $100).

So I went up to the room on my own. The chica found a key from a friend and met me up there. Lucky me.

Another night I had a successful sneak attack on the large black security man because my girl was hip to the game. She took me to the slots on the opposite side of where all the action is and we sat near the door. We waited till it was open from someone getting out and made a break for it. This place is packed as ever with smoking hot Colombians. I couldn't count them all, but there is a lot. They all start at around $150 and demand $100 at the lowest. Plus you have to pay an up-price for taxis. Beers range from $4 to $5 here.

(I may have broke another record for getting lowest toda la noche for a chica from Habanos.) It helped that we hit it off and were about the same age. This is the hidden gem of Panama and I almost do not want to talk too much about it. My buddy Biff Dangler (a Panama expert who is on the forum) took me to this place on my first night. The only reason I am going to write more is because I do not think many gringos will feel safe here.

The bar is near Casco Viejo and is next door to La Mayor. You walk in the saloon like doors and instantly smell feet and puke. All you see if local Pana men pounding beers and leaning against walls. They do not look to happy to see unfamiliar faces. The music is bumping and you wonder what the fuck you are doing here.

Then you walk 40 feet forward. At any given time there is between 10 and 80 chicas leaning against walls and tables near the back. At night they range from 4's to 8's. During the day they are hotter. The busiest time is happy hour (5 ish) because lots of locals go to get a fuck in before they go home.

It is true that girls in Panama are more business than in Colombia or Nicaragua (in general). The sex is more routine. In some other places, you get the feel they want to date you. If I had to pick a country to return to monger between Central America and the northern section of South America, I would still go with Panama. With that being said, my personal circumstances line up better than some others (language skills, looks, knowing locals, ect). I also am not looking for a wife or girlfriend.

Yeah, I got burned once by the white cabs in front of Veneto. This was a few months ago, but one night I went with a chica from the Veneto to Via Argentina, and the cabbie wanted $10, and he got it, too. The gal I was with was Panamanian, and was confused as to why a 2-3 dollar fare was 10 bucks, but the taxi driver said it's a tourist taxi, and more safe, blah, blah, blah.

Remember to avoid the white taxis. I did use one to go to the airport, for $30, instead of getting a yellow taxi for $25. That was fine by me.
