Can I get some opinions about the Trump Hotel in Panama City? I went there on a weekday afternoon, last year, just to check it out. Seemed like a very nice place! But all I did was buy a coffee at Juan Valdez, and walk around the lower floors. And I checked out the 66th floor, which I thought was great. I'd be curious to hear more from others with more experience there than I have. Or any opinions about it, really, such as about the condos in the same building, etc, etc.

I wouldn't be asking about it, but something strange happened about a week ago. I was on a travel booking website, and for some reason, the Trump Hotel was showing cheap rates! When I say cheap, I mean $45-65 per night. I haven't seen these cheap rates appear since then, but on that day, I did make a reservation in August, at $59 per night, including taxes.

I'd love to get some opinions about this place. It does seem like a winner -- the poster RacShack wrote here last month, and said he had a great stay, and that there were some chicas on site. That sounds promising to me, since I think that the location is a bit remote. Also, I've read here that the hotel is chica-friendly, which was nice to read.

If you were able to book a room at the trump for $59 including taxes per night by all means take it. The Hotel is very nice. I prefer the hardrock. A little bit more of a younger, hip crowd, more going on and I prefer the rooms but, certainly the trump is very nice and that price is outstanding. Yes just walk to the road and yellow taxis will pull down the cul de sac. It's literally 20 feet past the white more expensive taxis. Make sure to Enjoy the tub in the room with your new found lady for the night!!

Depends on what you want. Golden Times is a *****house, not a massage parlour although it bills itself as one. Relax massage in El Cangrejo is pretty good.

On a side note the other day when arriving back in PTY I walked upstairs to arrivals and got a cab to the city for $20.

You're learning but you can get it for $15 as someone other than me recently confirmed. Although, he got in quite late at night. I got it for $15 last time I went into town from PTY, maybe two years ago, but the last couple of times I have flown in, it was from Costa Rica so I used Albrook, which is one FUCK of a lot easier, for those who have the opportunity. I believe Copa or maybe Taca just started flying into Albrook from a couple of different places so anyone coming in from elsewhere in LatAm should check that out.

Haha, yeah thanks Biff and Dickhead! Yeah no doubt that place would be a good "testing ground" for developing "taxi skills"! I think they have the dreaded white taxis there, those ones that like to charge $10 or more. I believe you have to walk a bit to get a normal, yellow taxi from around there.

It's a great place, just the location requires a taxi to go anywhere and you will be paying the higher rates to and from Trump because you are staying at Trump. But yes it is chica friendly and the view / location is wonderful except for the taxi issue.

Appreciate the info. This is my 1st trip to (actually an intentionally extended to 2 nights layover in) PTY, the El Panama with its pool looks really appealing on the photos. Plus it's within walking distance to several "destinations," just the way I like it.

Do you have a particular chica-friendly condo in mind?

Your welcome, try VRBO. They have short term condo rentals. You rent directly from the owner. The condo you rent is yours to do as you wish during your stay. Bringing girls back won't be an issue at all.

I was in Panama a couple months ago and found very few chicas working Veneto on Sunday night. I wasn't yet aware of Habanos then so didn't check it out. I'm planning another trip and wondering if there are many chicas available at Habanos on Sunday nights or if they "take if off" so to speak. Just trying to figure out if I should avoid Sunday night in Panama.

If you want to go to Goldfingers tell the taxi driver to take you to fantastic casino in El Dorado. Go inside (shitty casino with machines only, but they had live music the night I went, the singer was fucking hot) sit around for about 5-10 minutes, then go out, behind the casino is the shopping center with goldfingers, its probably night so you will see a small red neon light and the security guy outside. You save some money on the cab driver getting his cut, I think its like 20 bucks or something. Also when you're finished the taxi guys outside overcharge, so just walk to one of the streets catch a cab there to wherever you're going. Now about my experience, previously it has be great, but this time I picked a girl (number 3 or 6, can't remember, I think 3) and she was beautiful, but when we got to the room she undressed and had a huge bandage on her knee, said she fell and hurt herself, later on she wanted to give me a massage first (massage sucked, always say no here) She proceeds to talk to me about ill give you a good massage give me a good Teet (tip) I'm thinking this is crazy. Whatever, she is lazy performing, doesn't want to do K9 because of her knee, just a stuck up. Usually the girls here perform like porn stars.

Certain hotels "want" certain things, and certain cabbies "want" certain prices. I want a Ferrari. One possibly helpful experiment might be to want in one hand, shit in the other, and see which one fills up first.
